Trapped

I have been strapped on the bed for the past god knows how many hours, and I don't think they're going to let me go any time soon. After my failed escape "plan" they shifted me to another room, a crappier one. The walls are plain dark grey with one white bed I am lying in. Correction, not lying, but bound to.

That old-man who professes to be my grandfather is definitely an imposter. Otherwise, he wouldn't have asked 10 men to police my room. Do you know what the odd thing is? They all are arrayed in dull black body-hugging full sleeve turtle neck shirts with black cargo pants and boots. The fact that they are all almost indistinguishable and same height makes it more unearthly.

The old-guy came to the room and just stared at me from the threshold. Like a spectator staring at an exotic species from far away. He was muttering something to himself the whole time he was in the room.

Someone knocked at the door, asking for my permission to enter. I didn't say anything and lied in the bed staring at the ceiling. Minutes passed by, suddenly, I heard a click, and the doorknob twisted. It was Cole.

This guy is bad news. Every time I see him, something adverse happens. He is my walking bad luck amulet. First, he made my time at the camp completely intolerable. Then he is sating my sister. And to put the cherry on the top, he had the audacity to abandon me!

"Hi, Char." He shuffled towards me. I turned my head in the opposite direction. I don't want to look at his face. It is like a walk down the undesired memory lane.

"Hey, I know you are angry at me. You have every cause to be. I constantly taunted and mocked you at the camp. I just left you there. You see, I didn't have a choice. If I wouldn't have done that, then you wouldn't have made it this far." I was planning to ignore him. But honestly, I don't give two damns. People have only disappointed me since yesterday. What's the worse they can do to hurt me?

" First of all, don't act all innocent. I am sick of you seeing you all the time. Why can't you let me live my life peacefully? Your ugly shadow is just ruining everything for me," I didn't realize that my voice was rising, " You always knew Stella was my only family and you tried to steal her? How low are you going to stop? You always knew the camp was my only way of making it and as always you tried to take that away from me. Stop don't come to me with those pathetic excuses you bastard. I swear on my dead family if I wasn't strapped in the bed, I would have broken that disgusting tragic face of yours. You are wretched." I spit in his direction.

I never knew I had so much anger against him. I knew that I didn't like him. But this much anger was completely shocking. I looked at him. He looked hurt. He was quite taken aback. I noticed that his eyes were getting watery. Maybe I said too much. But crying? That's just simply unnecessary. I should be the one who should be crying not him. He has done a lot of terrible things to me, but I haven't told you guys what he has done. He didn't say anything. Just nodded at me and left.
