(Tracy)
Anna and Bonnie whisked me upstairs to a beautiful suite. Behind the double entry doors it was almost as big as my cabin.
Anna gestured around. "This will be your suite when you and James are here; which after tonight will be most of the time. I know you have the cabin, but I'm sure you realize your duties will keep you close to the pack. Right?"
"I do." It was still crazy to me to think I would soon be Luna of the New Moon Pack. The transition felt normal, like I'd been destined for it, but at the same time there was that tiny bit of my human brain that was a little overwhelmed by the fact all of this was real. "Do you have any advice for me?"
Anna reached out and grabbed my hands. "You know I have to admit I was extremely concerned when James first brought you here. I figured he was up to something, but I couldn't quite figure out what. When he said you were his mate I thought he was just trying to get out of choosing a Luna. But then I got to witness your behaviors with and without your knowledge. I've seen you stand up for yourself. I've seen you use an effortless strength when dealing with potential issues. And I've gotten to see you being yourself in the kitchen with my sister. You will be a great Luna."
I felt unfallen tears pooling in my eyes. Her words meant everything to me. "Thank you."
"No, thank you. In a matter of days you have turned my son into the Alpha is meant to be. You were the missing piece he needed."
"Okay, okay, enough with this mushy crap. Let's get to the good stuff. I put all the dress options in your closet." Miss Bonnie gestured to what appeared to be the master bedroom.
I walked in and was stunned. It was a gorgeous room with a king size bed, donning white bedding with silver accents. I walked around the room, seeing a large ensuite bathroom and two large closets. One was empty, but the larger of the two had several stunning gowns hanging.
I ran my fingers over them in awe. "They are all so beautiful."
"No bad for such a short notice. I of course figured you would need the bigger of the two closets." She chuckled.
"I don't know which one to..." But then I stopped in front of a sapphire blue one with silver stitching and accents. It reminded me of James' eyes. It was perfect. "…this one is…"
"Perfect," finished Anna. "We will step into the other room so you can try it on."
It was strapless with a sweetheart neckline. The silver embroidery throughout the top had small diamond-like beading that made it sparkle. There was a wide silver piece at the waist that tied in a bow in the back. And the bottom flowed out like a princess gown. I'd never worn anything so precious against my skin. It was felt smooth and soft like silk.
I stood in front of the mirror wondering who was staring back at me. This was really my life now.
"May we come in?" asked Bonnie.
"Yes, please. I need someone to tie…" Before I could finish she was standing beside me and Anna was tying the bow.
"Wow, words escape me," mumbled Bonnie.
"Now, let's get you out of this and get you ready. Go take a shower and why you are in there we will get lunch brought up and then see what wonderful thing we can do with all that hair."
They left as I walked into the bathroom. There were plush white towels hanging on wall rack. The his and hers sinks sunk into a marble countertop and the large walk-in shower could easily fit four people. It was magnificent with its four shower heads. I undressed and stepped inside. The steam wrapped around me and it felt like heaven.
It would be perfect if James was here with me. 'Oh my gawd! This shower is amazing!'
'You are making it very difficult not to come up there right this second.'
Crap! I keep forgetting about that. 'Sorry. That was supposed to stay inside only my head.'
'Mmmhmmm…'
I could feel his growl vibrate inside me. His desire evident in the tingles it left in its wake.
I tried to concentrate back on my task at hand…shower.

After the shower Bonnie and Anna dried my hair and then brushed and curled and pinned up pieces as we ate. After my hair was deemed a success, I wouldn't know as they wouldn't let me see, they moved to makeup. I'd never been one to wear much makeup. It usually on consisted of lip gloss, but they were plucking and painting and I really hoped I didn't look like a clown when they were finished.
"Now put the dress back on. We're almost done," said Bonnie.
I slipped into the dress. Anna tied the bow in the back once again. Then she handed me a pair of sparkly silver ballet flats that had ribbon that crisscrossed up and around my calves. "Oh thank goodness! I thought you may expect me to wear heels across the yard."
She laughed. "I would not dare. I've had to do that. I wouldn't put that on anyone purposely." We all laughed. "One last thing."
She handed me a jewelry box. I was nervous to open it until she smiled and gave me a nod. I lifted the lid and inside sat a sapphire necklace and earrings wrapped in silver. It was stunning.
"Okay, I just have to ask. Isn't silver poisonous to you?"
"Yes, but that isn't silver. It's titanium."
"Ooohhh," I replied as my fingertips danced over the jewels.
I put the earrings in and Anna clasped the necklace around my neck. She and Bonnie stepped back as I stood up. "Wow," they said in unison. "Look in the mirror." Anna gestured toward the full length mirror in the corner.
I took a deep breath and walked toward it. I stared at my reflection wondering where exactly the normal me had gone. This me was beyond stunning. James was literally going to trip over his tongue.
I touched the necklace and…
I was in the backyard, standing next to James. His father was on a platform talking to a crowd of people, with Anna standing beside him. First I heard the howls. All heads snapped up focused on the new threat as wolves began coming out from the trees. Dozens of wolves, growling and snapping at the air as if anticipating something better.
A tall man with jet black hair and dark eyes wearing all black suddenly stood in front of James and me. "You need to get her to safety." His words filled with authority.
James responded, "No, this is my pack. I cannot leave them. Alpha Kane she knows where to go, can you please see that she makes it there safely?"
"Of course. And I'll be back in time to help you clean this up."
"Tracy, you know where to go. I'll see you soon my love."
With that I touched Alpha Kane's hand and….
I was staring back at my reflection in the mirror.
With my heart racing I ran to the window that overlooked the backyard and gasped. The platform was there. The people were already filling in. Most of them females because of James. Oh no! "I need to speak to James."
"Tracy, what's wrong? Are you okay?" Anna's motherly tone hadn't gone overlooked; I just couldn't focus on it at the moment.
'James.'
'Yes, my love. Are you having another shower fantasy?'
'I need you. Now. Bring your dad.'
Before I could wonder why he hadn't responded he and his dad were walking into the suite. He didn't stop until he was directly in front of me. His eyes focused solely on mine. "Tracy?"
"They're going to attack tonight during the ceremony. I'm not sure how many, but I saw dozens coming from the trees along the back of the house." I heard Anna gasp.
His hands held mine. "Did you see anything else?"
"Let me show you." I gazed into his eyes, reaching for our bond and replayed the memory for him to see.
He leaned up and whispered, "I love you. Everything will be okay. And holy shit you are gorgeous!" Then he placed a kiss on my forehead and stepped back.
He looked up at his parents. "You heard the lady; sounds like we have a few extra plans to put into action."
"Office. Five minutes," stated his father as everyone followed him out, except James.
"You promise it will all be okay?"
"I do."
He knew something I didn't, but he'd been in this world all his life and I was new to it. For all I knew this could be a normal night. I hoped not, but that was beside the point.
