Chapter 3
(In an unknown location)
Kenshin and Izanami crashed the hovercraft in some sort of docking bay.
Izanami sighed "We made it"
She walked to the back and smacked Kenshin awake.
"W-What?!" Kenshin said suprised
"We made it back to the base" Izanami said
"Did I pass out?" Kenshin said confused
"Yes you did" Izanami said
They both exited the hovercraft, people took a look at the hovercraft.
"It's all yours now, take whatever was inside" Izanami said
Yuudai entered by the secret docking gate, the metal wings folded back.
"Commander" Izanami said
Kenshin and Izanami saluted.
"Well, did you complete the mission?" Yuudai asked
"Yes we did" Kenshin said
"So, should we head to the meeting room?" Yuudai said
The three of them walked through a bit empty big hallway, there were a few members of the WJO walking and chatting to eachother.
"The police have been very busy lately, arresting members or helpers of the WJO" Yuudai said "I've asked the leader for more members to come here"
"The leader... Have you ever seen the leader?" Izanami asked
"Well, yeah. He's the one who help me join the WJO" Yuudai said "And the person who suggested for me to hire you two"
"I heard rumours that he could destroy an army of 1000 soldiers by himself" Kenshin said
"He is strong, but not that strong" Yuudai laughed a bit
"And how about the vice-leader" Izanami asked
"Well, I'd say she's like Emi" Yuudai said
"Oh, so a psychopath" Kenshin joked
A gun was pointed at the back of his head
"Did you say something?" Emi asked pointing the gun at his head
"N-Nothing, I was just joking" Kenshin said
"Joking, huh?" Emi said still pointing the gun
"Y-Yes!" Kenshin said
"So Izanami, why do you ask?" Yuudai asked
"Just curiosity" Izanami said
They entered a room, there was a huge wooden table with 9 chairs around it. They each took a seat.
"So, where's the others?" Yuudai asked
"They'll be arriving soon" Emi said while looking at her phone
A girl came in the room.
"BEEP-BEEP. I-HAVE-ARRIVED" The girl with a robotic voice said
"Mika we programmed you to talk like a human" Izanami said
The girl called Mika started laughing "I know, I know! I'm just laughing about what the 2020 people thought robots talked like."
M1-K4 or Mika, a humanoid with a very advanced AI. She was built by Izanami and programmed by Izumi, in the eyes of the public she is just a regular human girl, with normal human emotions and unique qualities, likes and dislikes.
A girl sitting in some sort of wheelchair came in, she was wearing some headsets on her neck and a computer infront of her.
"Ah Izumi!" Mika said "I was looking for you"
"Sleepy" Izumi said
Izumi Morine, alias The Ghost, expert in programming and hacking. She is not disable, she just doesn't want to waste any energy walking... She helped the creation of Mika by making her AI and she's the quiet type, she mostly talks when she's sleepy or hungry.
"Hey everyone!" A buff man came in
"I was training" A girl with a katana said
The buff man is called Nobuo Ikehara, alias The Ravanger, he carries the heavy machinery and his brute strength is useful for a lot of missions.
The girl with the katana is called Mizuki Tanaka, alias Samurai Princess, she was taught in the art of the samurais by her grandfather, she has lightspeed reflexes and the same stealth as Kenshin.
"So, I've called everyone here today to talk about the WJO" Yuudai said "As you've noticed we've been lacking a few members"
"Yeah, I don't have any person to train" Mizuki said
"Yeah, I already trained everyone here" Nobuo said "So it's Kenshin's turn!"
"N-No thanks.." Kenshin said
"Where's Seiichi?" Mika asked
"He's helping another WJO in another country" Yuudai said "So yeah, we need new members, we can't keep asking from the main WJO"
"I'll handle that" Mika said
"Mika, we can't give them pamphlets" Izanami said
"O-Of course!" Mika said, while hiding pamphlets behind her.
"I might have some friends that are interested" Emi said
"Emi, we don't let anyone random in" Yuudai said
"I see" Emi said
"Any other ideas?" Yuudai asked
Izumi raised her hand.
"Yes Izumi?" Yuudai asked
She handed sent him a document through her UI.
"Hm... This canditate seems quite interesting, arrested for betraying the police by killing the chief , what's the reason?" Yuudai asked
"The chief earned money by selling drugs and letting criminals escape." Izumi said
"Hm... What's his location?" Yuudai asked
"He'll be attending a party organized by a rich business woman" Izumi said
"Well then, time to figure out how to get in" Yuudai said
"Why don't you talk with your rich friend?" Kenshin asked
"Her?" Mika said
"No, not her" Emi said "Please, no"
(In an unknown location)
There was a huge mansion, the front gate had a symbol with an 'N' on it.
"It's great for you to visit me, Yuudai" A girl said "But I'd like if you come here more often, not for business of course"
"I'm very busy, as university student and as one of the commanders of the WJO" Yuudai said
"We're not here to talk, big sister" Emi said
Aki Nakashima, Emi's big sister, she owns the Nakashima's Industry that sells different types of electronics. She is another important member of WJO, but she doesn't get involved in fights and stuff, she donates money from the shadows so that we can improve our weapons and defenses.
"How cold!" Aki said
"Emi, she's your sister, treat her well" Yuudai said "You don't know when you will see her again"
Emi sighed "I will, commander"
"Obedient to him as always" Aki said
"Shut up" Emi said
"So, Aki, do you have the invitations?" Yuudai asked
"Yeah, here" Aki gave them some electronic cards "Emi will be going as the representative of the Nakashima family and you Yuudai will be her guest"
"Seems good to me" Yuudai said "Thank you Aki"
"I would prefer a kiss to thank me" Aki said
"Did you say something?" Emi said, angry
"I'm just joking" Aki said "Well, come by sometime"
"I will, if I'm not busy of course" Yuudai said
Yuudai and Emi left the mansion and entered their car.
"Tell the others that we've got the invitations" Yuudai said "And prepare for tonight"
They drove off.
(Later that night)
They were in another huge mansion, it was full of rich people and food.
Emi and Yuudai entered.
"Is everyone in position?" Yuudai asked
"Yeah, time to blend in with the crowd" Emi said
They both separated.
A man entered "This is quite a party, I should enjoy this"
He had something on his ear. "Have you forgotten your mission?" a voice said
"Yeah yeah, investigate the one who invited us to the party" The man said
He walked around and grabbed a drink. "This wine is quite nice" the man said
A woman walked to him "Enjoying the party?"
"Of course, I'm very lucky to get invited" The man said "I presume you're the one who organized this party?"
"Chiharu Taniguchi, pleasure to meet you" The woman said
"Hikaru Okane, the pleasure is mine" The man said "Congratulations on the ascension"
"I finally own my family's company, but it's sad that my dad die" Chiharu said "Being assasinated by the evil WJO"
"The WJO? Did he do something bad?" Hikaru asked
"Bad? Of course not, those... WJO! They're merciless killers who wouldn't even hesitate to kill a child!" Chiharu said, angry "I should stop talking about this, I'm killing the mood"
"Good luck on your ascension" Hikaru said
"Thank you" Chiharu left.
Hikaru walked out to the balcony.
"Report?" The voice said
"She's lying, she seemed nervous and was acting" Hikaru said
"Wha-zzt- we-we-n't" The voice was glitching out
"Hello?" Hikaru said confused "Hello?"
"Quite a beautiful night sky"
Hikaru looked to his left, Yuudai was standing there.
"Yeah" Hikaru said
"What are you doing out here? The party is inside" Yuudai said
"You know, thinking about life" Hikaru said
"So, thinking about your wife and little girl" Yuudai said
"Yeah" Hikaru said, suprised "How did you know?"
"The ring on your left hand and in the finger where marriage rings are located" Yuudai said "I also saw a nice decorated, pinkish hair clip on your pocket"
Hikaru grabbed the hair clip.
"I don't think your wife would wear a childish hair clip, so that's why I presumed you had a daughter" Yuudai said "And you probably brought it as a lucky charm or something to remember her"
Hikaru looked suprised "Wow, you're very right"
"Now then, let's see if you guess this" Yuudai said "Why do you think that you've lost contact with the police and someone like me talks with you? Isn't it kinda strange?"
"P-Police? What are you talking about?" Hikaru said
"What am I talking about? You already know.. Takashi Hokama" Yuudai said
"H-How did you.." Hikaru or better, Takashi said shocked
"I haven't presented myself yet" Yuudai said "I'm Yuudai Yoshikawa, The Phantom Phoenix or Bird whatever you want, one of the WJO commanders"
Takashi was nervous, what did one of the WJO need from him?
