"She does not look in any distress." A black car was monitoring the girl's house from far away. Wang Zibo, in the driver's seat, was trying to assess the situation but he could only see the old lady shooing away the reporters. They were at quite a distance and his meagre binoculars was not helping much.

"Whoa! I spotted Fu Fanghua over there. Can you believe she flew all the way here? Does she have special affection for you or something?" Wang Zibo teased the idol sitting at the back once again. The girls were so crazy after this guy.

This particular reporter had always been after his case. She would chase him in the most remote villages and areas, just to get an exclusive. It was as if their media agency had created a position just for chasing Mo Yifan.

This girl had really been passionate about her job though. Wherever Mo Yifan was supposed to be, she would show up an hour earlier. Everyone at WhirlWind Entertainment knew her face.

That Ms. Fu had been in trouble many a times for reporting false affairs and rumors about the idol, just based on his brief interactions with other female celebrities. But her tenacity had made her keep working on him.

Mo Yifan took off his sunglasses and glanced over the lone house, falling apart. It was in a distance, across the river. The tiny figures in colorful dresses moving about were very visible against the backdrop of the white snow. There were actually too many people and cars. It would have been intimidating for that girl and her family.

"Chen Waan is actually Thai," Wang Zibo looked at his tablet where he had received all the information from his sources about the girl. Getting no response from behind, he continued, "An orphan. Hmmm… Wonder who that old lady was?"

"She is here to study languages, she is apparently a prodigy, who is fluent in six languages and can understand and read many more. Wow, you met a genius yesterday, should have taken an autograph," the manager laughed.

"Are you done?" Mo Yifan asked coldly. Wang Zibo shut up and continued to scroll down for more information. "She is living with her friend from back home. Attends a very prestigious college here. She does not receive any child support from anyone and has been earning money here and there doing translation gigs, after she left the orphanage system at an age of ten in Thailand."

"Interesting," was the only word that came out of Mo Yifan's mouth, his lips curled up in a slight smile. He looked at the beaten house with pity one last time and then asked Wang Zibo to drive off.

"Are you not going to meet her?" Wang Zibo asked in surprise before he started the car.

"What's the use? It looks like she handled it well. If I go meet her now, I will get discovered," Mo Yifan sighed to himself. For the first time in three years, he had felt that his idol like was burdensome. He could not even meet someone at his own will.

He actually had never thought about being an idol. He came from a middle class family but his parents were so supporting of his love for music that they bought him musical instruments early on. If not for them, he would have never gotten into composing.

He started writing songs at an age of ten as well. But it took him four long years to make them into songs and self-release them on social media. After enjoying the popularity for about a year, he was scouted by this WhirlWind Entertainment, one of the biggest entertainment agencies in his country.

His parents again supported him and helped him with the contract and everything. He put a condition on his employment though, he needed absolute freedom in terms of fashion and his works, which the company agreed to. The agency was basically taking a cut through him in exchange of providing bigger platform to promote and top quality trainers for guidance.

But still, this life felt too boring to him. His whole day was filled with just writing and practicing. He had to prepare choreographies too for his songs, since he could not be just a singer for the agency to make profits. Mo Yifan did not dislike it, but he did not love it either.

He had not had time to think about anyone else till now. He was just so focused on his career, more on nurturing his creativity, that he never had to think about another human being. All his needs were taken care of by the agency. He had moved out of his house as well within a year of debut.

He also did not feel the need to interact with anyone outside his circle of managers and other staff members, until now.

Mind it, he had always been polite to everyone, for nothing could be gained from being arrogant. But that was also a fake persona to please everyone. In reality, he was just an aloof guy who would appreciate some time to sleep in life.

Wang Zibo was always amazed by how this guy could write so deep when he did not have even basic human interaction.

Anyway, it seemed as if the chapter of this brief encounter with this girl was coming to an end. If the girl was capable of handling it on her own, he had to give it to her. But for how long could she hide in her house or outside of her house? The reporters were not going to leave that soon.

"Keep an eye on the pests. If they trouble her too much, take care of them," he instructed his manager, glancing at the place one last time.

"Oh? You want the agency to meddle? Don't know what boss has in mind either. He has not been picking up my calls," Wang Zibo surmised. There was something wrong happening here.

"She did save me after all, don't you think she should be rewarded for that?"

There was a silence for a moment in the car as Wang Zibo processed Mo Yifan's words. The snow from one of the tree branches above slipped and plopped on the car's window, breaking the silence.

"Aiyya, your this habit repaying the debt as soon as possible will not go, will it?" Wang Zibo looked in the rear view mirror, amused. He clicked his tongue, pitying the girl. She took a huge headache upon herself. And this guy here, wanted to clean it up quietly. Which was going to be very difficult.
