Fan Met

The preparations of the concert were in full swing. The fans had already started gathering outside the venue to catch a glimpse of their idol, even though there was still one whole day in the concert itself.

The scale of the concert was too large. Chen Waan had heard of Tokyo Dome but seeing the size of the stadium, she was just dumbfounded. They had also called a few notable bands to perform in between Mo Yifan's performances.

This would be the first time when Chen Waan would hear him live. They had lived together for close to four weeks now but she had never had a chance to hear him sing. He only sang in his room or the studio, both of which were soundproof.

Furthermore, she never had time to really go and sit down with him. And out of those four weeks, she had spent almost three weeks avoiding him. The remaining week, he was the one avoiding her. All in all, their interaction was minimal for her to have a chance like that.

She was to majorly observe the things around. However, since she was wearing her normal clothes and she could understand easily what people were saying, she ended up becoming the errand girl for a lot of employees there.

Needed someone to deliver some food? Or some prop? Or some equipment? Everyone was calling for the girl in black hoodie with short hair. Interestingly, there was no one matching that description except her. She ended up running here and there the full day and again missed the chance to hear him sing.

"My God Waan Waan, what were you doing the whole day? We needed you when he needed to translate but you would not even pick up your phone," Miyu asked her about her whereabout for the whole day.

Poor girl, who did not even get to have a sip of water and had lot of dirt on her face was not even interested in listening to what was being said to her. She just wanted to wash up and just sleep. She had not had this hectic a day even with training.

"I am sorry, I-I was just busy," she replied. If someone asked what she was doing, how would she explain? This was ridiculous! She needed to improve her aura. She looked like a normal worker right now, but she had to make her presence just like Mo Yifan's, actually better than that. Such that no one would be able to take their eyes off her. And no one would make her run like today.

She did not find the work she did today beneath her. She learned a lot in reality about the backstage process. But to beat the people she was involved with in their own game, she had to become greater than them. Right now, her target was Mo Yifan. Then, someday, it would be Wang Zenghao.

Mo Yifan had already retired. He was exhausted and he had to go through the same thing the next day. Chen Waan also went to sleep as soon as she arrived at the abode of Miyu. She did not have strength to think about anything right now.

The next day, everyone was rushed to get ready. Chen Waan again had her job as the translator. There was a fan meeting first in the morning and the concert later in the evening. It was a full day schedule and Chen Waan's head was already hurting.

She only had role in the fan meeting, so she had developed huge respect for Mo Yifan who was quietly just getting ready. He had his eyes closed as usual, to rest as much as he could.

It could be said that every celebrity would develop habits which would lead them to optimize their rest. A lot of them used their breaks and make-up time to rest. Mo Yifan had also trained himself to do the same. Right now, he was taking a power nap.

In the meantime, Wang Zibo and Chen Waan went through all the props, attires and equipment lists one by one. They also checked with the guest artists in the morning itself. The same would be done again in the afternoon, right before the concert.

WhirlWind was known to be thorough with their prep. Thus, they had such extensive checks throughout the day. For the fan meeting, everything looked in place. This event, thankfully, was not in Tokyo Dome. There were a handful of fans, about hundred or so, who were invited in a rented café where they could ask him questions, personally interact with him and get his signature.

Security was tight for there were too many opportunities for anti-fans or obsessive fans to create chaos at such places.

Usually, a famous TV personality would be called to host the meeting but today, it was just Chen Waan and Mo Yifan. It was also to give Chen Waan more exposure. She was going to host the meeting, giving the fans instructions on what to do and then translating their requests to Mo Yifan and vice versa.

"And we are here to greet our idol, Mo Yifan. You guys must have waited quite a bit, right?" she read from the script in a robotic voice. The fans glared at her, their enthusiasm seemed to be getting low just because of a rookie emcee of the meeting.

Chen Waan grew nervous. Her palms were sweating and she needed to think fast. The face that the place was small and overly crowded and everyone was staring at her in anticipation and anger did not help at all.

No one had trained her for this. On the top of that, she was given a script in Japanese. She was not native, did they not think that she would need to use too much of her brain to read the characters, understand the meaning, and then speak it out loud for everyone? Why were they sloppy only when it came to her? she was definitely proficient in Japanese at conversational level but this was something a lot of natives would also struggle to do.

She decided to do away with the script in her hands and spoke freely. At least she was not bound by anything and would not have to perform three operations at a time. Flinging it away in a bold action, she took the mike which was sitting at the mike stand in her hand and shouted, "Are you guys ready for a heart throbbing meeting?" in Japanese, bringing the mood up instantly.

The fans cheered, the girl had finally found her footing. At the cheer, Chen Waan felt relieved. She could do this. And the atmosphere really looked to her. She could see herself doing the same in a few years, if not months.

"Then, what are we waiting for? Let's invite our favorite idol, Mo Yifan on the stage," she gestured towards the entrance where he was supposed to come from. Everyone backstage was startled. She was supposed to say some stuff about sponsors and all before she actually invited Mo Yifan but she had flung her cue cards at the side. Was this meeting going to be a disaster?
