Nothing had happened yet; just constant running sounds coming from outside. No one dared to peak over the counter to see if anything was out there. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Jeremy begin to peek over the ledge with his gun at right at the countertop. I immediately grabbed hold of his arm and dragged it back down. He looked at me dead in the eyes, and all I could see was fear lingering creeping into the depths of them. It felt as if I was looking into Jeremy's very soul. All the concern was surrounding him and taking control.

"The last thing we need is another loud noise going off around here, there are too many out there," I said whispering to Jeremy, trying my best to keep my voice barely audible.

He nodded his head and slowly put the gun down. We sat behind the counter until the noises went away. I wasn't sure how much time had passed, but what I knew was that I was hungry, and my stomach had no problem letting me know that. I grabbed my secondary pack and got out all of our lunch items. We all sat there in total silence, eating our food as time passed. After about two hours had passed, the noises finally went away, and we were all able to take a big sigh of relief.

I looked up over the counter and scanned the place for any ceps. I saw nothing, so I told Jeremy and Rob that we were clear to search and scavenge. I went to find the key and try to open the gun cases, but Jeremy, on the other hand, just picked up the tire iron and went to break the glass and locks. No one heard any noise coming from outside, so we started the process. Rob grabbed all the ammo he could and made multiple trips back and forth to the truck with his arms full every time.

Jeremy and I began carrying the guns out to the truck. We got shotguns, rifles, pistols, and plenty of attachments. By the time we had gotten everything we had needed, the bed of the truck was full. Before leaving, I sent Rob upstairs to the office to see if he could find anything else. He walked up the stairs and around the corner where I lost sight of him. A couple of minutes had gone by, and I started to get worried because there was no noise coming from up there.

Jeremy went up the flight of stairs first with me following right behind him. Both of us walked up very slowly just in case Rob was right around the corner. When we got to the top of the stairs, there was a small hallway with one door on each side. The first thing I noticed when looking down the corridor was this massive bloodstain on the left, and it was smeared clear to the floor and into the room on the right. The blood looked old, so I knew I couldn't have been Rob, so that was a good sign.

Jeremy tapped his gun on the floor to get any cep's attention that might have been up there with us. Nothing came out of the doors or behind us, so we started walking down the hallway. The first door was on the left. Jeremy knocked on the door, but there was no response. Jeremy then swung open the door as fast as he could and immediately had his gun drawn and aimed. Nothing was there except for two desks and some kind of water fountain in between them. The room was very dark, so I left the room first with Jeremy behind me.
