Chapter 22

I am sweeping the floor of this enormous gymnasium. I took a glance on my side only to see the ugly creatures giggling and chatting like the world mean nothing to them.

I might just make the world mean nothing to them right now.

I sighed and remembered the time I was gotten into this kind of a mess.

//FLASHBACK//

I woke up in the school's clinic and saw a guy beside my bed sleeping.

My brain immediately stopped working.

I examine his dirty blonde hair, damn he even looked good when he is sleeping.

He moved ever so slightly and made my senses come back.

I faced on my front so he won't notice a thing and I felt his head getting up.

"Oh, you're awake already?" Jace asked while yawning.

"Yeah," I said shortly, scared I would stutter.

Then I realized.

I looked at my body and saw my uniform still covered with those nasty things.

"Shit," I mumbled and stood up.

"Where are you going?" Jace stood up to the time I made a move.

"Uhh, home? Can't you see this trash all over my body?" I sassed, I have no time to be embarrassed by a pretty boy, my hatred was much bigger then.

"Oh no, you're not going anywhere." A voice said behind my back.

We froze and turned back. only to see the devil in this school, the creature who is much scarier, uglier and louder than our principal.

Ms Avocet, the one who proudly held her name as the one who is in charge of giving punishment.

I am pretty sure Jace have heard her name at least a couple of times now.

"What is it ms?" Jace asked.

"You," Ms Avocet pointed her finger at me. "Are going to clean up the school's gymnasium as a punishment for hitting a student in the face."

You have got to be killing me.

"Wha-" I said. "I was the victim and I am punished? Those ugly creatures deadass threw disgusting food at me and now I am a mess! They are the one who should be punished, I was just defending my self, survival instincts!"

And killer instincts, I thought.

"Don't you dare raise your voice at me, young woman!" She shouted back, I saw Jace flinched.

"You kicked one student across the face until she is sent to the hospital."

I burst into laughter, who's laughing now? Bitch.

"SHUT UP!" She shouted and I held back my laughter. "You will have to know fighting isn't the way to solve the problem."

So what? When people threw food at me, I am supposed to lick their feet begging for them to stop?

"Now if you want it or not, you will stay here in school and clean up the gymnasium with the other girls who tried to throw you food, maybe you guys can talk it out too. There will be some spare clothes on the nurse's desk, you are not permitted to leave school." Ms Avocet demanded.

She is totally on my if-I-get-bored-and-I-want-to-kill list.

"Yes ms," I mumbled.

//END OF FLASHBACK//

"Do it faster, janitor, you're wasting my time." One of the ugly creatures called out.

Where's my knife again?

I sighed loudly, gripping the mop harder and continued to do the job.

"Ugh, this is wasting my time," The leader said and stood up, which made the others stood up too. She walked up to me. "You better get it clean before we know it, or you're toast."

Okay, that's enough.

I threw away the mop and grabbed the bitch by the collar. Her minions gasped and she looked at me with fear in her eyes.

"Look who's scared now?" I growled. "Listen you filthy bitch. We are not done here, all you are is just some ant I could step on, you bullied Cody and he was the one who protected one of your minions from dying." I said eyeing on one of the girls, she gulped. "I will leave you be for once because hell, you smell like you live in garbage, but I will not tolerate it again if you dare to even lay an eye on me. You get me?"

I shook her collar harshly, she nodded. I pushed her off and she fell to the floor.

"Let's go girls." She said and got out, her minions backed away slowly and ran.

Then I saw Cody and Coraline running up to me and it seemed like they have heard my conversation with them.

"Are you alright? Cody asked me, I brushed off my shirt and smiled at them.

"Yeah, I am just fine," I replied softly too tired to even talk.

_We should've helped you just now. We're so sorry._ Coraline wrote looking at me with guilty eyes.

"I am fine, don't worry."
