"So stats don't go up by leveling?"

"Nah. Class upgrades and gear. That's all we get. Top tier classes are pretty balanced, except for a select few. Tech Mage and Divine Oracle are some seriously broken ones. Demon Reaper, Vengeance Knight and a few others have never been seen, so yes."

Justice swung her blade, attracting the aggro of a docile plant monster.

[Scarlet Vine Level 25]

The moment it began to move, a quick blast from behind Justice ended it's life.

[Level Up.]

Justice and Symphony had used a sneaky tactic that even the A.I. didn't mind. When Justice gets aggro, Symphony instantly shoots the creatures. Once they die, Justice gains half of the spoils.

"Damn. Finally hit level ten. For twenty minutes of this, it's been pretty decent."

"Doesn't help that the game won't allow two consecutive level ups from a single monster."

Symphony placed her gun into its holster, giving Justice a big smile. Unable to hold back, Justice smiled in a somewhat shy manner.

'This girl... she's just so cute. I know I'm using her... but I'd love to be her friend even after I get over Yui!'

"So Justice, ready for a class upgrade? From what we talked about, you'll want to go for Defender and then Champion. You'll need to find out how to reach a special class after that."

Justice nodded, her excitement bubbling up.

"How do I get the upgrade? Actually, I don't even know how to deal with quests. I've just been grinding since I started."

Symphony shrugged.

"Quests are in town. You'll need to find people to get them. You can also ask the A.I. anything you need to know when you die. Haha... it really seems to prefer you."

"You don't even know the half of it."

Justice saw her trait on her screen, sighing slightly as she continued to feel the pain from her greaves. After getting them, Justice quickly realized that they were locked on. They were also weakened due to her low level, which also gave her the pain.

Symphony hopped over, her body jiggling slightly.

"So, to be a Defender, you'll need to head into town. There are barracks there, somewhere near the southern end. This town is a low level one, so it may not even let you do it here. Hmm... wanna head to the Bug site? Rook's been messaging me... a lot. Ignoring him has made my day better!"

Her cute smile made Justice laugh a little, covering her mouth. She gave an affirmative nod, allowing Symphony to lead the way.

Justice learned quickly, Symphony is much faster. Even with a four hundred percent movement speed, she has to sprint very heavily to keep up with Symphony jogging. Once they found that out, Symphony slowed her pace greatly. Being a veteran, she understood her avatar in and out.

"So Justice, this Bug isn't the strongest. It's also not to be looked down upon. It's called a Bug for a reason, so don't let it kill you. If it has the chance to reach the A.I., things could become difficult for all players."

Justice nodded, this thought already something she had been worried about.

"With my current power, especially my traits, I should be able to fight somewhat evenly with it. Right? It'll take like... four hundred percent extra damage?"

"Its evil, yes. But that depends on if it strikes at you first. Shouldn't be a problem, Bug's have a DZ, or Debuff Zone around them. It should count, though let's hope it isn't a bad debuff."

Justice could tell that Symphony had seen some bad fights, the look in her eyes was filled with stress.

The girls continued to make their way through the trees, Symphony making note of the message she had sent to Rook. When they finally arrived, Rook was red in the face. He veins were bulging on his neck, even making him seem ugly now.

"He really is pissed."

Symphony looked at Justice, giving a playful thumbs up.

"Rook, this girl is my friend. She's here to help fight the Bug. You give her a hard time, I'll tell everyone that we aren't really dating."

Rook seemed crestfallen.

"B-but, it's to protect you! So many guys, even girls kept asking you out!"

"And yet you act like we are really together. It's been getting pretty old, as of late. I prefer someone strong, yet delicate. You're a damn oaf."

Justice snorted, barely holding in her laughter. Rook glared at her, his hand reaching towards his weapon. Now that they were out of town, she could see the large mace on his back. It was a beautiful weapon, pure white with golden trim. The spiked ball wasn't present, instead it was flanged. The mace was on his hip while a large tower shield, also white with gold trim, was strapped to his back.

"You pull that out now, I shoot you in the head. Again. Remember, I can get a PK tick removed in an instant at the church. I'm not rich for nothing."

Justice looked up at the corner of her field of vision, seeing Rook appear on the party list. Besides him, Symphony was above his name with Justice above hers. The two of them had reached the games max level, being seventy-five each.

"God I'm so late to this game. I'm just recently level ten!"

Rook seemed smug, though Justice didn't care. She was ready for the grind, especially now that she had become Symphony's friend.

"So Rook, the Bug. Where is it? This area should be near it at least."

Rook rolled his eyes, then pointed off behind himself.

"Swarm over there. Roughly two hundred plus. This newb is gonna die out there. What say we send them on their way, then sort this ourselves? Don't need a weakling feeding them and all."

Symphony raised her gun, pointing it at Rook's head. Her sweet smile seemed all the more menacing as she tapped the trigger a few times.

"My friend is in need of EXP. She comes, or I take only her. This fight will be legendary if I solo most of it."

Justice felt a little useless, her eyes peeking at her inventory. Her mind almost blanked as she saw a strange box that had been placed inside.
