An Unexpected to be expected

Ixander rushed to Tanya, who was on another room. Well, in fact, she is in a lavatory, puking endlessly.

Ixander was worried that the Khatana may have eaten something that is a stranger to her diet. Ixander panicked and asked her "Tanya! What happened? W-why?"

The servants, however, were smiling, and after Tanya wiped a bit of her lips, she breathed a bit and approached Ixander. She was a bit weakened, but she was able to catch Ixander into a hug.

"Tell me, dear, what happened? What did you eat?" asked Ixander.

"Great Grandquester, with all due respect, she ate healthily on her stay here…" said one of the servant. The servant was saying this with a smiling face. Another servant then broke the news "Great Grandquester! She's pregnant!"

Ixander cannot believe it. He was so shocked that you could fit an egg whole inside his mouth. Ixander looked at the face of his darling, smiled and hugged her again. He kissed her forehead and caressed her back. "O-okay, you must rest properly…but then I don't know how to be a parent yet!" said Ixander. The servants giggled at the reaction of Ixander. "I will promise I'll be a good father to our child…" said Ixander to Tanya.

Tanya did not say anything but he hugged Ixander.

The servants attended to Tanya properly, making sure she has proper nutrition and care for her. One of the servants said "Your Majesty, Khatana, pregnancy will be quite difficult for you, but as we are women, we are strong. We can do it…and we're tougher than men!"

"I- I believe so…thank you…" said Tanya.

Ixander returned to the room where there was planning. There, Mazimier and Marmaligos waited and asked "Well, what happened to the Khatana?"

"W-We have…we … we are expecting a child…" Ixander told them while smiling.

"Wow, well, congratulations!" said Mazimier.

"Haha! You're becoming a father!" said Marmaligos.

Marmaligos and Mazimier shook hands with Ixander. Ixander then said "It was unexpected…I just hope however that the war may soon be over, otherwise my child would be growing amidst the war."

"That's why we're planning to put an end to it. At any or at all cost!" said Marmaligos.

"Very well then, Ixander. We have more matters to attend to. Let's not get too excited on the news, and concentrate in ending this war for your child" Marmaligos continued.

Ixander nodded, saying "Yes, Indeed, fellow Grandquester…"

"Well, it'll be my treat, how about we go to my shelter and drink 'till the night, eh?" said Mazimier.

"Good proposition! Well then, Ixander, let's go now!" said Marmaligos.

"W-well I will ask Tanya for a moment…" said Ixander.

"Well, alright. Back then if you did not go with us, you're a pussy. But now that she's with you, and you are expecting…it's just right to please a woman which will be crazily hard to manage during pregnancy!" Marmaligos said whilst laughing loudly.

"Hey! Don't scare Ixander!" said Mazimier.

Then the three of them laughed.

And so, the days were quick and the soldiers are back to their trenches. For a final moment, before the day when the truce would be over is tolled throughout the bells of the halls, the soldiers that were guarding the snow-laden banks of the Great Livinian River all gathered outside the trenches.

"Well, tomorrow, we will be enemies again…" said Alorius to his Livinian counterpart.

"If you're still alive, and peace came to both our countries, let's visit each other's family… I'd hope not to encounter you in a hostile manner. I hope this war would soon be over" said Mikail.

Meanwhile, the soldiers gathering and sitting at the banks of the Great Livinian River all exchanged greetings again before the truce ends, they told their final stories, they told their most regrettable moments, and the families they missed back home.

One soldier, who has a crumpled picture of a face of a man he loves, unfolded that picture, and it revealed a face of the man he longed for.

"Who's that?" asked an Albanese soldier.

"O-oh…just my brother…" said the Livinian.

"Come on, I know it's not… here…" said the Albanese as he revealed his locket, where inside, is a face of a man as well. The Livinian looked up at the Albanese soldier, saying "Y-you're the same as me…?"

"Yes…I know that there is still prejudice on the world. When the republic was established in our country… I had hoped that everything will change. Our rights will come, but no… everything became much more chaotic, much more turbulent…and we were marginalized even more by those who we treated as brothers in toppling the monarchy…I hope our voice can be heard…" said the Albanese.

"I hope that our great Grandquester Ixander do the same as well… I heard one time he helped the entire community of poor people out of poverty, and slaves were emancipated" said the Livinian.

"Really? Wow, your Grandquester must be an amazing man…" said the Albanese.

"Yeah, he is… Luxemer by the way…" said the Livinian as he introduced his name to the fellow Albanese homosexual. He reached his hand out in introduction.

"Girim, your fight is mine…" said the Albanese, shaking his hand as well.

Along with the soldiers on the front, they all looked as the sun sets and the bells may toll at any time within six hours.

"It has been a pleasure to talk with you, Mikail. I am sure you will meet your family back home soon as well" said Alorius.

"We can't tell…but I really hope this war ends soon…" said Mikail.

"Come on, we had a promise, you'll meet my family, I'll meet your family. If you die, you break your promise… and that does not look good" said Alorius, accompanying it after with a laugh. Mikail laughed as well, then they both smiled and left each other in opposing directions.

"Well, I hope luck favors you, friend" said Girim to Luxemer.

"You too, you will be in a fight on the rights movement if time comes…" said Luxemer.

They also both departed ways. The rest of the soldiers then went on to their respective positions on the trenches they dug.

Finally, bells rang from both sides, indicating that the final day before the truce is over ended. War has again blanketed both sides.

Meanwhile, Baron-General Vladistav heard of the news that some Albanese soldiers have befriended Livinians in the middle of the opposite banks of the river.

The snow is still quite thick, but Baron-General Vladistav was enraged at the resulting effects of the truce that ran between Alban and Livinia. On the other side of the theatre of war, the Grenavians had finally broken the stalemate and is advancing through the Gold Mines of Harzan. In other words, chains of defeat demands that a victory should be won as soon as possible.

Back at Axan, where Willemus is, the advisors and war planners are desperate to win in a single front.

"Sir, must I inform you that we are desperately losing at the Carabian front, and the Grenavians have broken the stalemate in the fort of Bigheiza, and are en route to Harzan" said a general.

"We need a proper victory soon, or else we will lose the trust of our homeland" informed another General.

Willemus pounded his desk. "I will make firm the stand in Livinia. I am sure of it… we just need to break this stalemate…"

The Generals are now afraid of the consequences the fronts will face as Willemus is now enraged. The Generals are informed of the situation on their fronts and brute force is not a remedy anymore.

"Sir, if the Albanese commanders do not apply their proposals on the fronts, we might be losing in a large margin" said one of the Generals who spoke up bravely.

Willemus sat back to his chair, and nodded once to approve of what the general proposed.

Some generals then proceeded to submit some of their proposals. However, a courier immediately interrupted them. "Sir, our men would not respond at the order of attack" said the courier.

Willemus is full of it. The desk filled with the proposals of his general was flipped over by his anger…

"Damn it! Juger! Write on a telegram that I order that every man who does not heed my order to attack the Livinians will have their families executed!"

The generals were shocked at Willemus "They will see, THEY WILL SEE THE DAMNATION THEY HAVE DONE BY DISOBEYING ME!" he said.

"They will not topple Great Alban, they are FAR FROM WHAT WE HAVE FORMED IN HERE!" continued Willemus.

Meanwhile in the tent of Baron-General Vladistav

"And there, we go…we can storm that position to make sure we have a part of control in that line" said Vladistav.

His officers were silent and just looked at each other for they have participated in the festivities with the Livinians. These officers were also reluctant to obey.

"Sir!" saluted a soldier to Vladistav. "Our men will not listen to storming a certain position" informed the soldier.

"Damn you officers!" said Vladistav. He looked at the officers near him. "Why won't you follow, huh?! Have you all lost your dignity?! Just because you made Livinian Friends?! You are all a shame to your country! A shame!" ranted Vladistav.

"Sir, I reckon they are still human beings, and we invaded their homeland" said an officer.

Vladistav closed his face in to the officer, ranting "You did not know what they did right? They HARBORED POLITICAL CRIMINALS, AND HIS PROBABLE REMNANTS OF THE ROYAL FAMILY…And they will not surrender wherever the royal family is. It is a THREAT! A THREAT TO OUR REPUBLIC! And you, sir, are threatening YOUR REPUBLIC."

Vladistav then slapped the officer as much as he can.

From that moment on, it seemed that the entire country of Alban and Livinia will face a darkness amidst them.
