"Onnichan, can we go to the restaurant today," Aika pleaded as he grabbed my legs.
The chauffeur just dropped us off at the house and now he wanted to go out. I had a humiliating day today and pasta layered with cheesy goodness, with a hint of tomato basil sauce sounds like heaven. Even the buttery garlic bread that has a ton of fat in it is calling for me.
I ended up giving in. And okaasan tagged along taking us to the restaurant.
We arrived at the restaurant and the waiter showed us to a table up the stairs in the V.I.P section. Where the seats were cushioned with the finest feathers that sometimes poked my butt. Okaasan ordered a white wine to start off with; while Aika and I got water with no ice.
"Reina, how are your studies so far?" Wow, we're jumping right into it.
"My studies are going well and I became the class representative. Hina-san is the vice representative so everything should go smoothly. I was wondering if I could get a math tutor," I answered okaasan. Hopefully, she will allow me to get a tutor because math is kicking my butt right now and it's only the second day.
"It sounds like you are going to be a busy bee. That's great that Hina-san is helping you out, what a great friend that you have. And you don't have to study so hard Reina," okaasan clicked her tongue. "It's not good to be stressed or else you will start aging prematurely."
I knew that okaasan was a hard nut to crack. I need to gain her sympathy.
"Okaasan, I need to bring honor to the Hayashi family by getting the top grades. Right now my math skills are not failing me, but I'm afraid that I will fall behind my peers if I don't have a tutor. Even my friends have tutors now that we have entered junior high. My grades will determine what class I will get into in high school. Plus, you can brag about how smart of a daughter that you have to your friends, okaasan. Wouldn't that be nice?"
"fufufu... I have raised my daughter really well. You remind me of your father when we were younger. All right I'll have a tutor come by the house every Saturday."
Every Saturday! How will that help me? That's like nothing, I will be so far behind if I only get Saturdays with my tutor.
"Okaasan, can the tutor come by the house at least four times a week?"
"Three."
"Two."
"Alright, two times it is Reina." She smiled like a Cheshire.
Wait, did I just get played?
"Here is your food miss." The waiter magically appeared by okaasan's side and placed down a margarita pizza. Then he placed down my rose pasta which smelled so divine that it made me salivate a little.
I took a bite and my mouth burst with creamy goodness with a slight tomato taste that was paired with the sprinkling of fresh parmesan and basil. I went in for another bit when I heard okaasan clear her throat.
"This is Reina, my daughter," okaasan said to a woman. She seemed familiar yet I don't think I have ever met her.
"Gokigenyou," I greeted the mysterious intruder with a slight bow of my head.
"Gokigenyou," she replied, with a warm smile, and gestured across the room. I looked where she was signaling and that was when my heart stopped.
Two devils in one day!
