Brother

Some people say that the distance between hate and love is close. This is what happened between Kaze and his brother Shuka. The greater the love he gives, the greater the hatred that will arise if something happens that he doesn't like.

Flash back...

Two children were seen practicing a technique. The older child demonstrates a technique that can remove sand and the younger child tries to follow the technique.

"You still have a lot to learn more Kaze. With your current abilities you won't even be able to beat an opponent your age." The older brother tries to correct the mistakes his younger brother made.

"This is very difficult Sis, I can only only get a handful of sand out of my hand," said Kaze while showing a lump of sand in his hand.

Shaking his head, the older brother could only be silent for a moment then gently stroked the hair on his younger brother's head trying to encourage him.

"Then let's learn the basics of basketball first. When you are ready, I will teach you something that can easily master the technique," persuaded the older brother.

"Can you promise me about this, Sis? You are often too busy that you forget the things you used to say to me," replied Kaze whining.

Shuka smiled at the behavior of her sister who was too spoiled for her, but she often couldn't spare time for her sister because of the many activities she had to do, especially when she was a captain of the junior high school basketball team where she attended school even though she was still in second grade.

Every now and then Shuka spends her free time to train her younger sibling whose age is not far apart because they are only 2 years apart. Next year Kaze plans to enter the same school as his brother so they can meet more often.

"Brother do you love me?" asked Kaze one day.

"How can a brother not love his only sister," replied Shuka while pinching her sister's cheek exasperatedly.

"Then promise me that you will never leave me without a clear reason," asked Kaze.

"You're a big boy Kaze ... you'll be going to middle school in a little bit, after all, your abilities have developed and there's no reason for me to leave you for no apparent reason," replied Shuka.

"Promise Sis ... !!" Kazemaru asked a little pitifully.

With a deep sigh, Shuka stroked her sister's head and replied, "Alright ... I promise I will never leave you."

Day after day passed and now Kaze was able to create a sandstorm from the technique taught by his brother. His ability to play basketball has also improved and finally his graduation day from elementary school has arrived. With joy, Kaze immediately enrolled in the school where his brother was but the unexpected finally happened. Shuka turned out to have moved from the school to a school where she could get a team stronger than her current team and even ran away from home without Kaze knowing what caused it.

"Why Sis? Why are you like this to me? Didn't you promise? But why?" Kaze kept muttering the same thing over and over but it was useless because his brother would never come back.

Since then, Kaze's attitude has become cold, especially towards people he doesn't know, so he seems to be a quiet loner.

Three years later passed very quickly and feelings of affection for his brother slowly turned into deep hatred especially until now there has been no news from his brother.

Flashback end.

****************

Back to the second match of the prefecture level preliminary round between the Cyoku High School basketball team and the Hyunda High School basketball team. The foul committed by Kaze made him have to be warned and threatened to be expelled from the match if he did that once again. Yagami forced him to immediately enter Ryu to replace Kaze who was still filled with overflowing emotions.

"You hate your brother so much even though he's a good person," said Kisho just before Kaze left the field.

"That's none of your business !! What I want right now is to smash anything related to it to pieces," Kaze replied while clenching his fists.

The match finally resumed with a free throw given to the Hyunda High School basketball team for a violation committed by Kaze. Kisho, who became the executor, successfully entered the ball twice in a row so that the points increased for his team and the score was 4-18.

Cyoku High School basketball team picks up the ball again from under the ring and is now trying to attack but in the absence of Kaze, they start to struggle especially drible balls on the area filled with sand. Seeing this, Shin took the initiative to condense the sand with his gravitational ability but it of course weighed down on his body, which continuously used his eye's ability. The attack pattern of the Cyoku High School basketball team starts to go awry when Kisho eliminates his 'Oasis Area' ability so that the opposing team becomes thirsty because now the desert area is his.

"Ugh ... I'm getting thirsty and quickly run out of breath. So this is how our opponents feel when they are hit by Kaze's technique," grumbled Raito.

The sandy area makes Raito's speed decrease and quickly loses his stamina, especially now that he feels thirsty. With such circumstances, the opposing team can quickly turn things around and start leading the course of the match. Until the second quarter ended, the Cyoku High School basketball team had difficulty adding to the numbers and the scores began to widen with 55-28 gains.

"I'm sorry my friends, I got carried away with emotions to do something very detrimental to the team," regretted Kaze during the break for the first half.

"It is appropriate for a human to feel emotions especially when it comes to things that are very sensitive to him," comforted Gyo.

With a feeling of regret, Kaze then shared what made him feel emotional and how he hated his brother so much. Hearing Kaze's narrative, his friends began to sympathize with what Kaze was going through and gave advice so that Kaze would not be too badly affected by his past.

"Gyo get ready to enter, we have no other choice but to use our ace cards at least until Kazemaru calms down," said Mr Yagami.

Hearing this, Gyo hesitated because he felt that it was not time for him to bring out his abilities especially considering that there were still many opponents to face later if they won this match.

"I really want to play but aren't there many other teams we have to beat if we win this match?" said Gyo.

"You seem to have grown up minded, kid, your desire to play can be suppressed by your adult thoughts," joked Ren, who heard Gyo's words.

"Sir ... let me play one more time, I don't want our team to lose just because I got carried away too quickly," asked Kaze.

"I believe in Kaze so there's nothing wrong with him being given another chance," said Gyo firmly.

After thinking for a moment, Mr. Yagami finally allowed Kaze to return to playing even though the risk was quite high. With all the confidence he has, Kazemaru returns to the field hoping that his return can turn things around.
