Arrival (4)

"You are fine, by my estimation. Your body heat should be around the agreeable degree."

"But why are you sweating while the AC is on." Mrs. Simmons was now looking at me like I was an antique.

I didn't like it but truth be told was that I didn't even know what was happening inside my own body. It was a war that I wasn't prepared for. A tussle between the fear and reactions that took place as an aftermath.

"I am fine let's continue." I answered with a voice filled with vigor and enthusiasm but it wasn't enough to fool the ones around me.

"Help me with a bottle of water, not too cold and some wipes please." Mrs. Simmons said to no one in particular while her eyes were still fixed on me.

"You are not fine by any margin. We will continue only after you trust me completely and tell me the truth." Mrs. Simmons said again.

"It's nothing. Look the game has finished loading, let's play." I said with a tone full of eagerness while pointing at the notepad beside Mrs. Simmons.

"Ttsk!"

"Ttsk!"

"I think that you have forgotten that I have three children the same age as you. And I know an act when I see one." Mrs. Simmons clicked her tongue twice while shaking her head from side to side.

"Ma'am. I brought you what you asked for." At that time the female bodyguard who went to accomplish the request that Mrs. Simmons had asked for returned at this moment with a tray containing some fruits, bottles of water, a few wipes and a knife.

Mrs. Simmons extended her hand to take the tray before signalling for both of them to leave. After the bodyguards had settled on their respective seats at the end of the jet, only then did Mrs. Simmons continue with her line of questions.

"Eat this." She said while handing me a small plate with different kinds of sliced fruits on it.

I took it and immediately started munching on them like a hungry wolf. I was elated at that moment.

Don't look down on me as fruits were a rare delicacy on the small town that was my home town. It isn't that we had nothing of the sort, It's just that only mango trees grew in our small town and they were also few in number.

From that prospective only a few families were able to enjoy themselves in that one type of fruit year-round. For others like us, we could occasionally borrow a piece from our friends at school and it would be your lucky day if you manage to get any as everyone wants a piece.

And the other thing is that in our small market there weren't any sold there. It's not that we couldn't afford them, but the fact that only a few families had the capacity to buy them on a daily basis and that lead the merchants to close that section as they had undergone huge loses in the beginning.

So as of now, I just kept eating while forgetting everything else around me. It was a pleasant moment that I had to cherish as Mrs. Simmons kept filling my plate without disturbing me.

After some minutes I was finished. I accepted the wipes and the bottle of water from someone. Only after drinking half of it was I able to realize my surroundings.

"I am sorry." I said while looking downwards.

"Don't be sorry about anything. It's only normal and we are humans. But don't do that in the future or you will get much unwanted attention. Be ware of your surroundings before doing anything, it may seem right to yourself but to others you will be criticized. Remember all the things that we told you to keep in mind, please do your best to adhere to them." Mrs. Simmons spoke like a true human being.

"Now tell me why were you so nervous, and this time I only want the truth." Mrs. Simmons said while placing her warm palms on top of mine.

"Okay... I was afraid." I answered after I gave the question some thought so as to come up with the right answer.

"What were you afraid of?" She continued to ask with a smooth voice that had me depict a picture of her in my mind. And within the picture, she had an angel face. The kind that made me to adore her.

"You know, the hackers from the movies gave me a scare upon knowing them." I said with my voice barely a whisper.

"What can the hackers do to me?" Mrs. Simmons asked the question like she didn't have any knowledge of them.

"I was afraid that they would steal you money from the action of us downloading the app." I innocently answered.

Hahaha! Haha!

A stream of laughter struck my ears and I raised my head to look at the source.

Mrs. Simmons was hysterical. It made the situation look awkward.

"It's fine to have a mind like that, but some things have their own procedures. Don't worry about those things, let's play the game." Mrs. Simmons explained while wiping the tears on her face with some wipes.
