Drain woke up early to prepare his things that he needed on his way to the Maharlika City.

'Clothes, swords, and 3days Worth of foods..' its enough.

It will took three days to get the Maharlica Academy from his village

He was about to go out when heard his father voice.

"Son, come here a second."

'Is he going to stop me?' he think but he still come close to his father but when he thought that his father will stop him, his father took out a sword.

"A gift from me. I saw your sword that I gave you will not protect you when you encounter some danger on you way so I pleaded Mr. Smith to create a sword that is suitable from you."he said while smiling.

"You're safety is more important than some coins. Just make sure that you will come back."

His father was still reluctant to let him go. He can see through his eyes that he was worried.

"thanks father. I'll make sure that I'll comeback and pay for this sword"

"Yes. father, where's mother? ."

"Up stair, She said that she has a gift for you"

His father said while pointing upward. at this moment his mother come while a holding a clothes.

"Drane, here's your clothes for the day of examination. I knitted it myself." It's obvious. Her eyes has a big eyebags on it. seems like she's knitting it at night because there's a lot of things she has to do at morning.

"Thanks Mother, I'll make sure to pass and give you beautiful clothes"

"There's no need, just be safe." Her mother said worriedly.

"Yes, Mother, father. I'll be going then." He bow slightly and come out.

"Our child has grown up, really." His father said while thinking of those days that his son was crying because he fell on the tree.

"Yeah..." His mother said.

Drane and josh met at the outside of their village. there they ride the carriage that will deliver the vegetables.

On their way while josh was snoring, Drane was guarding he's looking at front to see if there's a danger that they might face.

At this moment Josh suddenly woke up.

"An enemy!" he shouted.

Drane immediately hold his sword, but he didn't feel any enemies at his field of vision.

"Ow, just a dream." He said and went back to sleep.

'This bastard.' Drane was about to hit him when the carriage suddenly stopped.

"A bandits!" the man panic when he saw a group of man circling his carriage.

"Old man, just give us the goods and we will spare your lives." the man in front said, he seems to be the leader.

"K-Kids, g-get out. w-we will leave." the old man stutter because of fear.

Drane woke up Josh and cover his mouth.

"Shh, a bandit. prepare to fight." Drane whisper to his ear. Josh immediately understand and hold his sword.

The bandits kick the old man and was about to kick Drane when his feet was cut off.

"ARRGGGGG!" The man screaming while holding his thigh.

"Josh!" Drane shouted and Josh leap and slash the its other leg.

"Sh*t, you guys kill them!" the leader ordered his men and rush to them.

Drane leap and slash his sword through the head of one of the bandit. The other bandit seems scared after they saw their companion easily slash by half.

"Useless! he's just a kid!" the leader looks irritated. He didn't expect any casualties and if this continue his boss will surely punish him.

He was preparing to unsheathed his sword when Josh sword pierce through his abdomen.

After they saw their leader getting severely wounded the bandits rush to him and help him to escape but Drane already decided that the leader will die so they have to die.

'He must have usable skill'

Drane rush using his full agility and beheaded the leader.

the members didn't even look back and just threw the body of their leader and fled.

"Let's go and hunt them!" Josh seems excited.

'This bastard, he didn't even flinch when he saw a blood.' He wondered if Josh already killed someone before this.

"No need, it will take alot of time and someone might attack the carriage while we're out." He explained and sheathe his sword and cleaning the flood that poured into his face.

"I see." He looks dejected.

Drane went to the corpse and took their items and kept it in his inventory.

Josh saw the items suddenly vanish but just stay quiet. He know that it's Drane secret.

they went to the carriage and saw the old man cowering in fear.

"There's no need to worry old man, they already fled." Josh said while sticking out his nose.

"Y-you k-kidss... A-are y-you really,,," the old man can't even say a complete sentence.

"No worries, it just means that you are safe as long as we are here." He reassured him.

"Now, lets continue our travel."

While they're on their way drane look at his stats to see what skill did he get, he can't be bothered to look at them while fighting a group of bandit.

His stats sky rocket with just two bandits then what if I kill them all?

This was not bad. The stealth is useful and a wind blade was long range attack.

Drane close his Status Bar and wait until they reach the Capital.

Now for the loots.

First a blade that the leader of the bandits was using.

then the boots

then the ring.

The sword will be mine and and gave the boots to josh

After that they did not any encounter any threats and their travels are peaceful.

Drane and josh did not forget to train while the carriage stopped every night.

after a three days of travel they finally saw the glimpse of the Maharlica City.

after a while the old man speak.

"We're here."

Drane open his eyes and look at the gate.

Josh looks surprised a gate that was much bigger than a tree was standing in front of him.

"The guards will inspect us using that rounded crystal to know our criminal record." The old man explained while pointing the crystal.

"W-what?! didn't we just killed someone?! is that included as a crime?!" Josh panic and shake Dranes shoulders.

"No, if we have a proof that they are criminals then it will not be included as a sin."

"Hoo, good thing." Josh felt relieved.

They wait for a while and then its finally their turn.

"Put your hand on the crystal" the guard said.

Drane put his hand first a blue rounded crystal became a color orange.

"Did you kill someone?" The guard asked calmly but the other guards was already holding the hilt of their sword.

"Yeah, we encountered a group of bandit and killed them."

the guards looks surprised by his calm look and demeanor.

"Do you have any proof?"

Drane took out the ring that he get from the leader of the bandits and handed it to guard.

"Will this be enough?"

The guards look at each other and nodded.

"Yes, you may come in." The guard let him passed and then josh.

After they passed the giant gate they were greet with bustling people.

'I am finally here.'
