Questioning

"Answer my questions boy!" Bruce slapped his hand on the table looking intensely at the boy who had been silent since he was brought in by Bryan.

"I won't say anything until my mom arrives... hopefully with a lawyer." The boy folded his hands across his chest and retorted.

Bruce looked over to Bryan who was standing by the door of the questioning room.

"Look here kid. I have two kids at home and they are just enough to drive me crazy so don't think that your tantrum will work here!"

Bruce grabbed the journal and flipped to a page and read it out:

"I witnessed the crime of murder. I watched as he sliced her neck. She was helpless, but why does he want me to watch him kill?"

"Do you know this could send you behind bars?" Bruce rubbed his temple and sat down.

This could have easily been dismissed as a fantasy created by a boy whose desires were fueled by the ongoing serial murder cases, but the evidence, the vivid description of the crime scene and the killer, what this boy wrote down was something the media didn't even have access to unless he was there himself or an officer in the task force had leaked it to him.

When Bryan saw that the boy wasn't answering, he walked closer and tried to convince him;

"If what you wrote down here is true, then you need to tell us because it will go a long way into stopping a lot more murder cases."

"I didn't plan to see this. I somehow manage to find myself at the crime scenes." Little Will voiced out after a long silence.

"How did you know there would be a murder?" Bruce asked referring to a line the boy had written down.

"I feel like someone or something is calling out to me before the murder happens.

"When I follow the voice, I end up at the crime scene."

Bryan froze when he heard what the boy said.

He could kill so fast...he was an expert in wiping his traces...he could make videos turn blurry....he could instill a feeling of being watched and suppressed agony in the victims....and now he had the ability to communicate telepathically with people?

The more Bryan thought about it, the more inclined he was to believe that this case might have a hint of supernatural powers.

"Did the killer do or say anything to you?" Bryan asked as he suppressed his surging emotions.

"No. He doesn't say anything as if I'm not there. He only looks at me and smiles...."

Two words surfaced in Bryan's mind when Will said the last part:

Smiling Psychopath....

"Seems like he feels he can't be caught and therefore doesn't bother to let you see him." Bryan said to no one in particular.

"Why didn't you shout for help or call the police?" Bruce asked raising an eyebrow at the boy.

"Shout? It would be useless. He is so absurdly fast and strong. He would kill me before help arrives.

"Also, the whole act lasts only for few minutes." Will said with a worried expression on his face.

Bryan felt his heart beat faster.

He recalled the other features of the murderer.

Fast...strong...has blue eyes....jet black hair with receding hairline...angled cheekbones...

He felt shivers run down his spine as he looked at the chief, feeling that he matched this picture except that he had dark brown hair, and plump cheek.

Thankfully....

"I don't think he's human..." Will's voice trailed off as he said that. Bruce sat up straight and took a deep breath.

"The blood text..." Bryan blurted out like it was a suggestion.

"He writes it with gusto. Every letter carefully drawn out. At the last letter, he jerks as if something or someone is pulling him and he abruptly leaves." Will hurriedly said and closed his eyes.

Someone or something drags him...

What could it be?

Something stronger than the maniac?

Bryan composed himself. He had to admit that of all homicide cases he had handled before, this one was the most abnormal one.

He looked back at Will and then at Bruce. This was some pieces of evidence that could help them a step further.

Bryan leaned in closer with mixed emotions as he planned on asking more questions.

The boy didn't hesitate or seem uneasy as he answered the questions. Bryan felt it was unbelievable for a child to witness such things and still remain sane. Could it be that he is also a psychopath?

Bryan made a mental note to ask for a psychiatrist for the boy.
