Persuasion

At lunch time Bernadette and Bryan left the station and headed for the lawyer's office. Bryan couldn't help but notice the conflicted look on her face so he asked what was wrong.

"It's nothing," she pursed her lips and added, "I'm just tired."

'Being tired is the oldest excuse humans have created to avoid telling others their problems. Something is really eating her up and I bet it has something to do with either Jason or lawyer Remi… she'll tell me when she feels like it.'

"Why don't we just postpone this trip?" he asked with concern.

"No," she shook her head firmly, "I need to find answers and the more we delay it the more impatient I get."

Bryan nodded and patted her back. He felt the same thing when his mother had been abducted. He had refused to sleep or eat only spending his time investigating believing that if he delayed then the monster's trails will go cold.
