Chapter 16: People Are Jerks

(Ember's POV)

(Lunch Break)

Finally, it's lunch break and per usual the teachers were "punishing" the students and as always I tried to prevent them from getting hit and budding in with my rude and sassy comments so, instead of them "punished" I was. I'm not trying to complain or anything it's my own stupidity but, I prefer myself being hurt rather than anybody else.

Right now, Aaron, Dylan, Yasmine, and Blake are staring at me as if I'd just said I was gonna destroy the world.

"Stop staring at me like that!", I exclaim starting to get frustrated as we walked to the cafeteria.

"Sorry.", they all mumbled as we continued to walk.

"We're just worried about you is all.", Blake says after a few moments.

"You guys don't need to be worried about me, okay? I can handle the pain.", I tell them starting feel really upset. I may have anger issues and all but I've been getting better at controlling my anger so it's gonna take alot more than them doing that to get me angry or even mad.

"Okay.", Blake says and we continue walking in silence as I start to wander off into my thoughts.

Why do they even care?

I don't need their pity or sympathy or even them caring about me. I think to myself then I feel somebody bump into me and I fall to the ground grumbling curse words.

"Ow you dickhead!", I exclaim getting back up and dusting myself off.

"Now there Missy, is that anyway to speak to me?", I hear an all to familiar voice.

I look up as my eyes widen out of fear and shock.

"What the fucking hell are you doing here you sick mother fucker!", I yell at him. You're probably wondering who he is. Well I may or may not of told the whole truth again.

You see the guy I'm yelling at well, let's just say he's a sick mother fucker. His name is Chase, I don't know his last name since he says he doesn't have one but I know everyone has a last name, right?

"I go to school here obviously.", he says in a 'duh' tone and I roll my eyes.

"Why?! Why does this always happen?!", I yell at more myself than anyone else. I look at Aaron, Dylan, Blake, and Yasmine and see them staring at me in confusion.

"Why the hel did you knock me over Chase?!", I spat out, when my friends heard my tone I knew they most likely flinched since my tone sounded worse than someone's tone that was laced with venom.

"I didn't bump into you I ran into me.", he says with a smirk on his face.

"I'll wipe that smirk off your face you di-", I say starting to walk towards my hands balled into fists but I was stopped by someone grabbing my wrist.

"No matter how much I fucking hate you doesn't mean I want you to go to jail.", I hear someone whisper I turn around only to find the one and only MacKenzie.

"Get the hell off of me!", I yell snatching my wrist out of her grip walking back towards Chase. I stand right in front of him. He's 6'0 and I'm like 5'9 so I was practically face to face with him.

"I should really, really fucking kill you and end this right here right now-", I say before he cuts me off.

"So, why don't you?", he asks smuggly and hands ball up into fists.

"Cause I feel like actually making it outta here and having some kind of a future instead of going to jail.", I tell him backing away a little.

"Plus you're not worth my time, you're just a filthy piece of disgusting garbage who was to much of a fucking coward to even fight back instead you killed the kind little girl I used to be.", I say walking away and towards the cafeteria until I felt someone grab a hand full of my hair and yank me backwards.

"You stupid little bitch.", he says extremely calm as if he was some kinda psycho.

"How dare you say all those things to me of all people?!", he asks starting tighten his grip making it feel like he was starting to rip my hair out.

"Oh, you mean the truth?", I ask sarcastically

"None of what you said was true.", he said angrily

"Yes it was", I say elbowing him and running as fast as I could away from him.

"I will come after you Ember, even if it's the last thing I do.", he yells as I walk into the cafeteria. Out of breath and not hungry anymore I sit down at my normal seat.

Not to long later My friends come in and came straight over to the table. I was down at my lap where my hands where at fidgeting and picking at my nails.

"We need to talk.", Dylan says and I look up a little and nod slightly.

"We were planning on doing our usual Every other week plan but...", Blake trails off clicking his tongue.

"I guess a one night skip is okay." Blake finishes.

"Hey, don't let me be the one to wreck your guys usual plan.", I tell them them and they just shrug.

"Meh, we have the rest of the school week, we can skip it this one time.", Aaron says shrugging his shoulders and I just face palm myself.

"No.", I say to them and they look at me confused.

"No?", Yasmine questions and I look up.

"No, you guys aren't gonna be skipping this tonight, these kids need some kinda hope, and I'm helping too whether you like or not.", I whisper the last part to them and they looked at each other worried expressions on their faces.

"Look I'm fine, okay? I don't need to drag you guys down into the pits of my fucked up life.", tell them and they just nodded hesitantly.

"Good.", I say as the bell rings and I get up.

"We'll meet up in mine and Dylan's room and discuss the plan.", I say then walk out of the cafeteria and to our next class.

Also, I've started to write two other books. One of them is called, "It's Okay To Not Be Okay" it's a Male Leading Role story the genre is others since they don't have LGBTQ genre for Male Leading Roles..... But I'd really, really appreciate it if you did try it out.

My other one is called "The Mysteries" it's technically not a Female Leading Role but I couldn't continue writing it if I didn't choose which one the genre is Teen, so yeah I'd appreciate if you tried that one out even though I've only got the Character Intro and what not out only I'm working on the Prologue for that story so don't worry.
