Back in Japan

This is before All Mights big fight, so yeah.

Aizawa Ren, it still sounds weird to Ren, sits in the police station waiting for Thomas. He had gotten a job there not long after they had made it to Japan. It had taken them a year and a half to get there and another half a year to completely settle. He had wanted to do something productive with his time and this is what he chose.

Ren smirks as she watches one of the detectives walk past. She loved messing with this one. "Detective Tsukauchi," Ren calls softly and the man stops and sighs loudly before turning to the young woman, who is now twenty. "You wouldn't happen to know where my Tommy is, would you?" She leans forward.

"No Ren, I do not. Last I heard he was out on a case and wouldn't be back until later. Is there anything I can help you with?" He asks her softly, she might annoy him greatly but she is actually quite a wonderful young woman.

Ren frowns and looks down at her hands. "No, but thank you. Oh!" She pulls out a tin from her bag and holds it out to the man. "I made so many extra this morning and I didn't want them to go to waste."

Detective Tsukauchi opens the tin and finds an array of cookies inside. Ren had open a bakery just last month and had taken to constantly bringing the boys something. He smiles down at the cookies and takes one out. He bites into it and makes a happy sound.

"They are delicious, as always Ren." The detective tells the girl.

Her cheeks flush and she starts fiddling with her long sleeve shirt. "I'm glad you like them. Make sure to share. I'd hate for the others to think I have a favorite." He laughs but nods nonetheless.

"Naomasa!" A loud blonde man calls to his friend. Ren raises an eyebrow.

"Toshinori, what are you doing here?" Detective Tsukauchi asks as he looks to his friend.

"I had some work near by and thought is stop and see if you were busy." He looks to the beautiful blue haired woman sat atop of a desk and smiles brightly. It nearly blinding and Ren doesn't understand how someone can smile like that. "Yagi Toshinori," he introduces himself and holds out his hand for her.

"Ren," She answers simply and shakes his hand. It's much larger then her dainty one, but it doesn't have nearly as many calluses.

"Nice to meet you Ren." His smile wavers slightly as her scared and callused hand touches his own, but it quickly goes back to its original state. Naomasa looks between the two and smirks.

"I'm busy all night Toshinori, but I'm sure Ren would love to accompany you."

"Ren can speak for herself Detective Tsukauchi." She glares at the man. "Besides I have plans tonight as well."

"Oh really, and what would those plans be?"

"Stalking," She answers honestly. Detective Tsukauchi and Yagi laughs thinking she's kidding, she just shrugs.

"If you're going to make up plans on the spot, at least make them believable."

"Right, ok, fine." Ren grabs her bag. Toshinori beams at the blue haired girl.

Ren sits across from Toshinori in a nice restaurant. It was their third date and four weeks after they met. She really liked him, he was a good man. He wasn't the smartest one, but he was kind and caring.

"What about your family?" Toshinori asks her.

Ren frowns and looks down. "Uhh, which one?" She fake laughs. "There is my biological family, I don't really remember them. The last I saw them I was six? Uhh, then there's Thomas. He took me in when I was eleven maybe twelve. There was a lot of us back then, now it's just me and Tom."

"I'm sorry.." Toshinori takes her hand in his and squeezes it softly.

"Don't be, as long as I have Tom I'm ok." She admits a smile taking over her face. Toshinori smiles watching her, she's beautiful. "So do I finally get to know what you do for a living Toshi?"

He laughs nervously and rubs the back of his neck. "Ah.. well.."

Ren raises an eyebrow at him. "You don't have to tell me, yet. That is unless you work for one of those human traffic rings or something."

His eyes go impossibly large and Ren can't help but laugh. "No, I would never!"

"Well then I don't need to know yet. You can tell me when you're ready." She smiles at the man. She won't tell him that she already knows, that she did a lot of research before their first date.

"What about you, did you always want to own a bakery?" He tries to take the attention off himself.

"No, that's a more recent development. When me and Tommy got to Japan I was kind of stuck. I didn't know what I wanted. Then one day I had made some cookies for Tom and the boys at work got into them. They loved them and it just kind of stuck. Do what your good at, right?" Ren shrugs, "it's better then going back into the military."

"You served?" He asks surprised. Ren nods as she chews her food slowly hoping not to answer his questions. It doesn't work, he continues to watch her waiting.

"Uhh, Yeah. One of those private militaries, the ones for hire. That's where I found Tommy." She takes a drink and looks away.

"But I thought you and Tom met when you were eleven?" Toshinoris head tilts to the side in confusion. It's adorable and in any other situation Ren would have loved it.

"We did." Ren nods and pushes her food around on her plate. He'll leave when she tells him, she knows he will. They always leave once they know the truth.

Sighing Ren sets her chopsticks down and wipes her lips. "I was a slave when they found me. I was to be put to death for... anyways, I was picked up by his superior and dropped off to him. Tom cut off my collar and gave me a home, a family. It wasn't ideal, but it was the only option for me. So he took me and freed me."

Toshinori says nothing, he just sits there his hands clenched in fists. Ren stands and sets her napkin down. She quickly walks away from him. It only takes a few seconds for him to realize what she's doing before he throws some money on the table and goes after her.

Toshinori rushes outside and catches up to Ren. He grabs her arm stopping her from walking away. "Why are you running off?" He asks her in a soft voice.

"Isn't this what you want? It's what everyone else wants. They never want me once they know that I'm.. I was a slave... I was collared and branded.. used..." she wipes the tears from her face. She really wanted this to be different.

"It's not what I want. I like you Ren, a lot. Your past isn't going to change that." He whispers into her ear. Her lip trembles and she turns throwing her arms around him.

"Move in with me." Toshinori says from the entrance to the kitchen where Ren is making dinner. They've been together for six months now and they are madly in love. He knows everything now, well almost, and so does she.

"I'm sorry, what?" She turns to him and raises an eyebrow.

He looks to the knife in her hand, which she had been using to cut vegetables, and then to her eyes. "Will you move in with me?" He asks more clearly now and makes it less of a demand.

"Much better," Ren smiles and sets the knife down. She wipes her hands in her apron and walks over to him. She then wraps her arms around his neck and pulls him down for a kiss. "Yes," she whispers against his lips.

He beams and lifts her into the air. He twirls her around and she laughs loudly. Setting her down he kisses her again "I love you."

"I love you too." She kisses him one last time then pulls away. "Now let me finish dinner."

Ren smiles and she watches Toshinori carry boxes into their room. He had made it quite clear he wanted to do it. Said it would make him happy, who was she to refuse something like that?

"I need to go out tonight. I promised Tommy id take care of some things for him." She lies perfectly. She hates this, but knows he won't approve.

"Of course." He walks over and kisses her. "That's fine. I have a patrol later tonight any way. It works out perfectly."

"You'll be safe right?" She bites her lip. She knows about all for one, about how Toshinori has been hunting him down. She's afraid she'll loose him. She can't loose him..

"I always am." He tells her, she scoffs. "Ok, I'll be more careful then usual."

"Alright.." She suddenly smirks. "Now how about we make this house really ours." Her smirk is suggestive and he can't help but smirk himself.

"Gladly," he lightly shoves her into the bed and kisses her passionately. It's deep and needy and she loves it.

Ren stands in front of a group of men, her blue sword made of pure psionic energy lighting up the area around them. She's wearing tight black pants, black combat boots, a black long sleeve shirt with a hood, a black mask to cover everything below her eyes and fingerless gloves. She blends in with the dark, like a shadow. The grim reaper in all its glory.

She puts the tip of her sword to one mans neck and tilts her head. "I'm only going to ask this once, then I'm going to start carving. Where is the cargo? Where are the girls?"

One man in the back starts babbling about not wanting to die. Ren sighs loudly, her left hand is consumed in blue energy and out of it appears a dagger. She throws it at the man hitting him right between the eyes.

"I'll tell you!" Another cries, "just don't kill me!"

"Tick tock," is all she says. She's going to kill them all either way. Men like them don't deserve to live.

"Down at the docks. A blue container, 609381. You'll find them there. But the container leaves for Russia tonight. You'll have to hurry if you want to make it!"

"I'll make it." She smirks and then kills them all. It's quick but messy and loud. They scream and beg for mercy.

Once she's finished cleaning up the scum she texts Tom which container. He'd been waiting at the docs for hours. Not one container was allowed to leave. He had the warrant to search every single container before it left the docs.

Ren sighs as she stands in the shower. It had been a long night, but productive. Thirty seven woman who will go home to their family's. She had saved thirty seven people.

Ren jumps as strong warm arms wrap around her waist. She sighs softly and smiles. "You're home earlier then I was expecting." She whispers to Toshinori. He hums and kisses her shouldn't not moving away from her. "What's wrong?"

"I was too late to save some people. They weren't good people, but I don't think they deserved to die, especially not like that." He sounds disgusted and Ren is afraid he's talking about her handy work. But she's sure it wasn't bad. She had made their deaths quick and relatively painless.

"I'm sorry my love." She whispers looking down.

"They were ripped apart. It was like an animal..." she closes her eyes in relief before turning around and wrapping her arms around him.

"You'll find whoever did it and bring them to justice, you always do. You and Naomasa. You make an amazing team."

He kisses the top of her head then frowns as he sees a cut on her arm. His fingers glaze over it and she looks down. "What happened?" He asks softly.

"I don't make a very good detective." She admits and he lifts her chin.

"And you told me to be careful." He teases her. Her cheeks flame red.
