He sighed, "okay, it was  a mistake Bella, i apologise." he replied sincerely, he should not take advantage of her childlike innocence.

"We did not get to the shop" his words echoed in the silent room. For a minute every one was silent and looked at him to say, 'haha I was joking. Here are the papers' but even after waiting for more than 5 minutes, it did not happen.

Alex walked to the kitchen and bought a bottle from the fridge. He sat on the sofa and drank water silently, then he forwarded the bottle to Bella, who looked at him and then at the bottle and then copied him, chugging the water in a gulp.

If there would have been a normal mood, Mike would have definitely teased the pair. But right now p00åthere was a heavy silence in the room, almost suffocating everyone.

"Why did we not get to the shop?" asked Mike, he could not wait anymore.

"Does it even matter?" asked Alex without even looking at him, and Mike's brows furrowed.
