Chapter 1: The Order of the Knights

A military parade was held on the streets of the Radar Empire. This is to show off how great the sovereignty they have and also to introduce the respective heirs.

It is meant for everyone to see via electro-sacramental-energetical communication (same as social media).

This is to give an indirect warning not to mess up with the Radar Empire.

The military led the way, showing their offense and defense, which consisted of the swordsman, archer, spearman, Glaive masters, Explosive Specialist, Military Technologist, Reckon, etc., followed by the Radar Empire's pride, what we know as the Great Order of the Knights, who possess the eternal flames from heaven.

They were all introduced one by one and then divided into two groups. Each group will have one chief knight.

The smartest, strongest, and bravest among all the twelve will be chosen as the main knights.

The warm colors will serve the soon-to-be Sun of the Empire, and the cool colors will serve the Crown Princess, which will be known as the Gleam of the South.

And then, the imperial family has been introduced.

They were honored by all their people.

The emperor with the empress, and the two heirs. The blonde angelic twins, the crown prince, Imperial Prince Leran Gustavian, and the beautiful crown princess, Imperial Princess Harmonica Gustavian.

The empire of Radar will be divided back into two as well. The part that is more populated, the north, which is the main part of the empire, will be inherited and led by the crown prince and the south which is more isolated and cold, will be led by the crown princess.

A custom that follows an oath that the north and the south shall never unite, same as the sun and the moon shall never meet, because when an eclipse happens, it is said to be a deadly sign.

Their grandfather unites it by murdering his half-brother, who is ruling the south, and taking the kingdom for himself. Although he won the two kingdoms. The South rejected him like it had its mind and blocked him away from the abundance and riches it had inside.

Damage has been done. Simultaneous with a limit of resources, an unexplainable plague swallowed the land and killed a multitude of people like a curse.

So, the next ruler who received the consequences of his father's action consulted a divine priest to ask for direction and guidance.

And that is to give another heir to the south. Years later, the emperor and empress have twins.

And decided to make one the ruler of the south.

After the introduction, one by one the knights came forth and swore an oath on their names and their flames.

Transferring the loyalty from the parents to the heirs as they come of age.

However, "tsk," a scowl on the crown prince's was slightly heard. He did not take any second thoughts to conceal his rude, immature actions. The emperor came to notice it so he called out to his son to remind him to fix his expression.

"We are in public," he uttered audibly clearly, yet not for everyone to hear.

"There's no way I can accept a woman to be a knight of the imperial family," he murmured to himself.

Among the twelve flamed knights was Callixa. The royal twin's closest childhood friend. She surpassed the crown prince's skills in combat, horseback riding, archery, and even swordsmanship. It hurts his pride and gives him the feeling that he is quite inferior to her.

"Are you against women being in positions, brother?" his twin sister asked, implying his prejudice.

He gave his sister a frowned, serious, cornered stare.

"No, I am not," he said in an audible answer.

Even though they are twins, Princess Harmonica is older than him in minutes and bears equal potential to reign. If she was born as a man, she must have been built tougher and wiser than the crown prince.

Because of the great names of females surrounding royalties, they have won the right to attain a position in the palace.

The intellect and skills that can equalize or even exceed men.

The emperor has been convinced because he has high consideration for women, first because of his love for the empress and his favorite child, the imperial princess. But still, he is stuck with the dilemma that he doesn't want to remove the patriarchy from his country.

"Then I'll make her a knight of your sister," the emperor said.

And his facial expression turns into a tamed, regretful beaver.

Zedan the Crimson Flame knight was assigned to the crown prince as his main personal knight, and Xeno the Sapphire Flamed knight to the crown princess.

Callixa signals the two royal friends she has as she formally comes forth to seal her loyalty to the selected royalty.

She signed up under the crown princess, Princess Harmonica.

It was a touch of bliss for this little fella. How she waited for this moment to arrive. Even days or even minutes before the ceremony, she non-stop blabbed, telling everyone, including her royal best friends, how excited and honored she was. It is like she receives the very purpose of her life.

Her teasing, playful sarcasm, and joyful bragging honestly pisses off the crown prince, and it was merely out of irritation. It's undeniable that she is behaving like a child and dreaming like a fool because she is so into it.

So, if these memories and emotions were all concrete, why did Callixa commit a crime?

This is from the memories that I had when I entered her body. This is one of the most vivid and considered the most profound memory of Callixa. However, this is not the information that I need right now.

If she is this close to the two imperial royalties and wants to serve them with all her life. Why did Callixa want to kill the crown prince at that time? What was the problem?

What fault does the crown prince do to her?
