I'LL PROTECT YOU

After the marriage, we still stayed there.

That day ends with some conversations.

Alok suggested me to take aira to any place so that she could be completely out of depression.

I mean, not with anyone else, just me and her together to some entertaining places.

I should definitely take her out to let her completely forget everything.

I've asked aira about it, without even thinking a second, she replies 'yes'.

She's believing in me a lot.

We both travelled to some fine places in India and enjoyed our trips so well.

It's March 2nd, the final day of our trip and I should definitely go back to grandparents house as I'll be going to U. S at March 5th.

I've booked my return flight then, and I also planned on proposing to her on that day.

Anyways, I'll come for her again after my brother's marriage.

We both were near to srinagar city that day.

Everything was fine, we were walking across the road.

But then, suddenly some of blast sound arrives.

Everyone were running, so are we.

Upto-then-calm city has became unpleasant all at once.

Few terrorists have arrived there.

They were shooting all around, but we have luckily escaped and hidden in a small narrow way.

But one little girl was still left in that gory road.

By that time, even our policemen arrived and they were shooting at those terrorists.

This is the first time I've seen policemen responding so fast, they must very nearby to this place.

That little girl was crying there all alone, she might have lost her way and her parents.

Aira ran to her without even thinking a second.

She successfully rescued that kid and got her into the narrow place we hidden at.

She absolutely loves kids a lot.

But aira was gasping after rescuing her.

I took her face into my hands.

" Don't worry, everything's going to be okay, we'll escape from here somehow along with this kid" I said.

She's looking away and got tensed a lot.

" Look at me, everything's going to be alright, I'll protect you no matter what it takes even my life, just have faith in me, it's my promise" I said while having her face in my hands.

Then, suddenly a bullet got shot right into her heart.

I was absolutely shocked.

I don't understand what's going on, everything seems to be freezed at that moment.

I was left there expression less for a second.

But the tears in my eyes created a waterfall flowing.

What's just going on, am I dreaming, or this is an illusion?, What the hell and shit is going on around me.

That terrorist have pointed his gun at me, but by the time when pointed his gun at me, policemen have shooted him.

" No! No! No! Please aira wake up, please wake up and nothing has happened to you, please talk to me once" I cried out loud and loud.

Yet she didn't respond to me, her eyes were almost closed.

She's not responding to me though I was trying to wake her up.

I took her body into my hands and run as far as I can.

I've searched for hospitals nearby by carrying her, but every hospital was shut as there's an attack very nearby.

But I found the hospital that's almost about to be closed but not yet closed.

I entered in as quicker as I can.

Doctors didn't even asked anything, they've just understood the situation and took her into ICU after seeing the blood on her body.

" You are so lucky, if you are late by a minute, the hospital would have shut down" doctor said.

" I will be lucky if nothing wrong happen to her, please treat her as quickly as you can, I beg you sir" I said while crying.

They've started treating her.

Doctors in the ICU room are bit tensed.

This situation resembles to one of my worst nightmare I ever had in school life.

It's almost the same thing.

I've once gotten the dream that she was admitted to hospital in my hands and at the end of that dream, she 'died'.

The doctor came out of ICU room with a sad look in his face just like it was in my dream.

He came towards me.

" I'm sorry" said the doctor with slow and sad voice.
