AROUND WE GO!

Eleanor POV:

As we were walking around the pack, I noticed that the pack house was in the middle of all the other houses, as we started to go further I noticed the houses, beautiful houses that were build around the area and the way woman hang around each other, sitting in their gardens and having a cup of tea while they gossip.

Some of the woman I saw were taking their children to the park to have some fun, the kids seemed so excited, we crossed through a park that appeared to have all kinds of stuff for the children from swings to jumping castle and slides along with water pool.

If I were a kid I would have sure went into the pool, it had a shaded area for the mothers to wait for their kids and chat with other mothers.

This did not seem to be the pack that I used to hear story about, the scary storied that were told to children as a bed time story, this packed seemed normal and.... loved.

Royan kept telling me about the perimeters and area of the land and what other places they have, he told me how they have a market just out of the residential are where people could buy and sell anything they want.

"Let's go there", he looked pleased with my answer we went there but then from the corner of my eyes I saw the Alpha coming to the park, as soon as he neared the park almost all the kids ran to him and jumped on him.

It was a funny yet an adorable site to see the him like this and he was smiling at them and since they were born in the pack they could mindlink the Alpha, he talked to them and maybe told them some funny joke which led them all to laugh out loud.

But one of them stood out the most, she didn't go to the Alpha nor did she greet him, she just stood at the back observing him, it is after a while that every kid ran away to bring toys to play with Alpha that I saw the girl hesitantly come towards Alpha.

I saw my mate bend down to her height and said to her through the link, she came up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, once they broke the hug Alpha then searched for his pocket for something as soon as he found it, he gave it to the girl.

It seemed to be a bar of chocolate, they girl's face lit up with a smile, it was such a sweet gesture.

"That's Hurraim, she was one of the girls who's parents died in the war that broke out a few years ago", Royan said to me while looking at the seen in front of him

"So who takes care of her and many more who are like her?" I asked, while still looking at the scene, it made me forget about the market.

"The alpha has made a house, orphanage house where staff is hired to look after them" he said, he looked quite sad when saying this

"You feel guilty for them don't you? you and him both" I said looking at him and the Alpha both wearing the same expression while looking at Hurraim

"Yes, it seems unfair for us to live while the parents of the children go around to war with us and give their life trying to protect us, it was their age to make memories and have and have fun and enjoy their life with their parents , it seems so unfair when life threw such a huge thing at them at such a young age"

" It makes you feel guilty as to why you were the one to survive, you know Royan after I went through what you are going , I realized that we are living and we survived for a reason, reason unknown to us and until we don't fulfill that reason we have to live so it is best to live life to the fullest, you never know when it ends"

"Yeah , you're right, I am being ungrateful. By the way what did you go through?" he said. I looked at him with sad eyes but didn't say anything , he understood I don't want to talk about it

As he he looked forward he froze suddenly, I looked ahead and saw the Alpha coming here with a furious expression, he looked at Royan and mindlinked him something

" Nothing I was just showing her around the pack so that she could feel more comfortable " he said, probably replying to his Alpha

The Alpha said something to him gesturing towards me with his eyes as if I was not there and both started to have a staring contest, I looked at him and waved my eyes in front of their eyes

"Hello! I am right here" I said, but none of them looked at me then Royan turned towards me with a sad and said " we have to go , sorry but Alpha isn't allowing us to go any further, maybe another day Ellie. he says to tell you to make dinner for him and has some work for me as well"

"But what about the market, I really wanted to go there..." I said with sad eyes while looking at Royan only the whole time

" Maybe another time Ellie... sorry" he said

I looked at the Alpha and I could see a lot of emotions in his eyes but I couldn't decipher , although he looked furious from the outside but since I was his mate I could see his other expressions as well.

But then I remembered what happened in the morning so I glared at him and took Royan's hand and dragged him back to the pack house, I could feel eyes on me , particularly on my hand that held.

I looked at him over my shoulder ,If I didn't know him, I would have thought he was jealous but I know he is not, he doesn't feel anything for me and he has made that pretty clear

I bid farewell to Royan thanking him for the lovely tour

I went inside the kitchen to make dinner for that idiot.

As I entered the kitchen I saw Jenna pacing the kitchen worried

"what happened Jenna?, you look worried" I said while washing my hands

" Oh dear! it's nothing, the Alpha has requested for a chocolate cake in the desert today for dinner and the girl who used to bake is sick so I gave her the day off but now I can't refuse the Alpha he already seemed to be angry through the link and I don't know how to bake"

I looked at her and smiled and moved around the aisle and put my arms around her and said" don't worry I know how to bake , I'll make some for him, Emley loves chocolate cake so I used to make them often"

" Oh no dear, I hope it is not a problem for you"

" No Jenna there is no problem" I said while taking out the ingredients for the desert

"Perfect! thank you dear, I will make the dinner and you could make the desert" I smiled at her as a reply and begin making the cake

Now I have to make a cake for that monkey faced idiot, god! what has my life turned into. Honestly, I wish I could use my powers to teach that butt head a lesson for his rude behavior

Suddenly a thought came into my mind and I smirked, if he wants a cake then he will get a cake only.... oh! this is going to be fun I thought.
