Vol 2: The one who sinned (3)

Yxorna’s scream did not stop Nti Anem whose fingers only gripped harder on his neck. He glanced back at Ghelroi’s form in the distance, still guarding his sister as he whipped at Nti Anem with dark chains sprouting from his bare upper body riddled with scars. Nti Anem did not resist as the chains wrapped wound his body and tried to drag him down from the sky, but his body did not budge. Zhylgar stopped struggling to get his hand off his throat; instead, slapped Nti Anem’s chest and a white light anchored with shadows enveloped the place.

Nti Anem found himself sitting in a tall grass field at this moment. An un-aged Zhylgar by his side as they stared at the still clouds.

“Must you leave, father?” Zhylgar asked him.

“The creator calls for me. I must,” Nti Anem answered as he got up from the grass that barely hid their figures.

“Caught you!” a little girl hugged his legs and he chuckled as he carried her into his arms.
