Vol 2: An echo across all worlds (3)

“What?” Ku Jian looked to Nti Anem.

“Are you going to tell me why you killed me?” Tie Nse said.

“Gods can’t die,” he turned away as the barrier disintegrated allowing him to walk away. It was then that Tie Nse noticed the four people standing guard. He was not the only one that paused. Ku Jian was too shocked that the stone statues just a few hours ago had become people. They knelt to Tie Nse the next moment, tears in their eyes, which made Ku Jian’s skin get covered in goosebumps. Seeing three grown men and a woman with all their sculpted muscles cry like children made her skin crawl as she walked away.

“You are…” Tie Nse looked at the four with a slight familiarity.

“Why do I feel like I know you?” he asked and their cries got even louder causing Ku Jian to look back in horror.
