Simple life

Life in the village was pretty simple, everyone grew their food and kept small animals for meat, some hunted and one could get other supplies from the local market and twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday the town market was fully packed with vendors from all over with everything available to stock up the pantry.

Ceri liked to go on Saturdays to get spices because she loved to cook and she would also try out the roadside stalls foods like mshakiki (meat skewers) various fried bread her favorite being mahamri (yeast bread).

Makena loved to tag along with Ceri on this days so they could go back to Ceris house and then she would get to try out the new dishes Ceri made. Wacera was a foodie and Ceri loved her since she would be the taster.

Makenas parents owned a shop in the shopping center selling basic use stuff and she would be the cashier on weekends but she was off today, her twin sister Maria was on duty.

She was excited to go the market with Ceri this coming Saturday thinking of all the goodies she would get to eat and also since she had saved up some money, she was going buy some stylish second hand clothes to upgrade her wardrobe. She liked to dress like those girls who lives in the big city N and M.
