Trust...or love?

Rain's legs swung in the air and she cackled loudly. Making them go to and fro as the swing went up, she could feel the soothing breeze in her hair. The long black hair, flying along with wind, a strand which was a little shorter than others, due to the bangs she had a couple of months ago, was falling over her eyes every time the swing would go up.

Her father, sitting on the lawn chair, his work laptop in his hand.

"Higher, Mom" Rain giggled again, looking back at her Mom, whose smile reflected Rains. There was something about the little kid, the naive big black eyes that could make any stranger in awe. The way she would light up watching any new thing, the way she made anyone melt with her stare only focused on them, the girl won many hearts, even without knowing.

Rain's Mom finally stopped, and came and sat beside her, panting a little. Rain quickly stood up and brought her mom, a glass of water.

As the neighbor approached to talk to Rain's father, she turned to look at her Mom.

"Mom, you don't mind when Dad talks to someone else?"

Rain's Mom looked at her and cracked up. She had to make sure what Rain was watching on television nowadays. Such a young child, but such an amusing question. Her Mom knew what Rain wanted to ask. She wanted to know if her Mom was envious.

Her Mom scooted near her and put her arm around Rain.

"I don't mind" there was not a lot to think as per her Mom, still she thought she needed to add more.

"Living with him for many years has made me realize that he loves me a lot. But you know what's more important than love?" Her Mom didn't know if Rain would remember this but she wanted to tell Rain, "Faith... Faith is more important than Love"

"You can tell each other you love them, but in your heart, you need to trust, to believe that." Her Mom then looked at Rain's Dad and smiled, "to believe that..now that they have your heart...they would take care of it. They won't hurt you"

"Hmmm" Rain didn't say much, she didn't know at that time what love meant.

"And even if you aren't that strong, to put your trust in someone, all you have to do is.."

"Rain...Rain...are you going to write back?" Emma stood beside Rain, reading the letter. The letter, which was almost getting crumpled up between Rain's fingers.

"Hmmm.." her eyes fell on the letter and she winced.

She picked another paper and started writing

"Dear Girlfriend of Jealous Boy

Some days it's tough to understand boys or humans in general. We are who we are cause we have lived this life. Past leaves us with happy memories but sometimes beautiful scars too.

My first suggestion would be to talk to him. It might be his past, which is leaving its traces on his present.

We look at a scary movie when we are young, and till the present, we seem too scared of the darkness.

Maybe he was hurt in his past, by someone close to him. So he lacks trust now.

The second thing could be that he equates your jealousy with the amount of how much you love him. More covetous, might mean that you love him more.

Tell him that, when you are not jealous, it means you trust him. Trust is much more important than love. If you can trust him with hotter girls around him, doesn't it show how much special he is to you?

With that said, ask him to trust you too.

Only once, all of this is settled, make the next step.

Some people have no idea how much we love them, or sometimes it takes them a lot of time to believe that someone could love them, even if sometimes that person is us.

Crystal Ball."

Rain hastily folded the paper and kept it back. There was a glimpse of a smile on her face. After an awful morning, something was finally making her delighted.

"Now tell me, are you alright?" Emma took Rain's hand, making her sit back on the bed. Her eyebrows wrinkled and her lips in a pout.

"Yes..yes.I am fine" But she wasn't fine. Her mind was still processing what happened a couple of minutes ago.

"How do you..how can I find someone." She was biting her fingernails, her lips opening and closing a couple of times.

"What is it?" Emma asked, patiently waiting for Rain to complete her question.

"How to find a person online" Rain held a breath, in anticipation. She didn't know what Emma would think about her now. She was already regretting saying it out loud.

Her face went pale as soon she realized what she had asked. She knew what needed to be done. It was like her brain lagged for a bit.

"Umm Nevermind" Rain turned around taking out her cellphone.

There was a site, just for the students. She would find Rachel there and know what she is up to.

"Need any help there?" Emma placed a hand over Rain's shoulder, almost making her stumble.

"It's a bar." Rain blurted out and squeaked the next second realizing her mistake.

"Okay, you need to tell me things now, that's the only way, I can help" Emma raised her eyebrows, as her hands rested on her tiny waist.

"I would need an entry to this place tonight." Rain knew there was no way, she would be allowed inside on her own.

"Let's see. I know few people, they might help"

Emma looked at Rain, with worry. Even if Rain wouldn't tell her what was going on, she wanted to help her any way she could. From the day Rain stepped into her cafe, Emma had realized that a girl like her didn't belong to this world. She was too innocent for her good and kind. Rain was kind.

But most girls are. There was a special place in hell for girls who won't help other girls. And Rain had helped a stranger when she came in looking like a kitten, a lost one indeed. Searching for a home.

Rain's head shot up. Her eyes went wide as if she had seen something shocking. She sprang to her feet and was about to open the door when she realized that it was crowded outside. A girl, dressed in yellow sat opposite a guy. The girl was shivering, her eyes red, lips cold. She was scared.

"I should go and see," Emma said and went outside.

..............

"Here you go" Emma was perky and grinned as she handed a card to Rain.

"Take it, it will let you enter the bar" She winked and went out.

Rain would have thanked her, but the evening hour was the busiest time for the cafe, and Emma was already rushing to take orders.

She didn't need to change as her hoodie was the best disguise she could be in for what she was about to do. She didn't even mind looking in the mirror, as she put on her hoodie.

Black messed hair, covered under the hoodie, black big eyes behind the glasses. She slapped her pockets to check her phone.

The bar was only a few blocks away, so she knew she didn't have to take a cab. The cold breeze which should be soothing was of no help on her sweaty skin. She groaned. Even though it was the winter, walking at a higher pace was making her uneasy. She bet she would stink by the time she arrives. She slightly pulled up the sleeves and aired herself with the neckline.

She made sure, she was there before them or she might be spotted.

Them, Reid and Rachel. She had seen a post by Rachel, bragging all about her 'date' with Reid. Rain wasn't aware of her feelings right now. She was perplexed, she was irritated, and she was furious. That was new to her. She could still picture his blue eyes which would just look at Rachel and his brown messy hair, which Rachel would get to touch.

Walking in the shadows of the populace, Rain took a table, at the corner. It was almost hidden from the naked eye, but she was able to see everything.

Now she could do only one thing, wait.
