I won't let you get hurt now

Is blinking allowed?

When someone wants to drown himself in your eyes, is blinking allowed?

Rain didn't blink for several minutes, as Reid held her against the wall. She didn't know if she heard him right. Did he say, Mine?

And he was still looking at her like she was a unicorn. And if he blinks, she will disappear. There was more to that. He was also looking at her like he would eat her. Now that wasn't right, at least not here.

She had barely held her composure when Reid had lifted her, and now they were here, alone. With no gazes on them, no one to bother them, no one to even stop them.

But there was one thing she knew. He was not going to kiss her, at least not now. Since his gaze was fixed on hers, never either traveling down to her puffed lips, which were now missing the lipstick she had put on earlier.

She could still taste him, taste the guy who had kissed her like there was no tomorrow. She could bet he wouldn't have let her go even then.

*I loved you yesterday

I love you today

And I will love you tomorrow*

She blinked. Where has she heard those words and why did they pop up in her memory?

"Rain" Reid's voice was breathy as his chest rose up and down. His gaze was still piercing her with those hooded eyes.

Rain's lips parted.

What should she even say?

*Make me yours?

Claim me?*

She shouldn't.

It was time, he took a step towards her.

"It's just I- I can't explain"

He turned to his side and pulled his hair.

Reasons...he had reasons again.

"I get it"

Rain looked down and started moving away when Reid grabbed her hand.

"I just need time okay?" He raised his eyebrows, hoping Rain would understand.

Seeing the guy kiss him today, made him lose the mere control he was having over himself. He wanted to punch, break something and he wanted to lock her up, so no one else could see her and fall for her.

Today he was lucky. He reached in time and took her away, tomorrow...who knows.

Reid took a deep breath, his hand still holding Rain as he closed his eyes.

He knew if he did this, he would be in real trouble. They had told him not to get involved, but he did. And now, he couldn't just lose her.

Maybe they don't know her, they haven't spent every second of the day looking at her, observing what she did, knowing why she did it, and then liking her, but he had done it.

"I am not your toy, Reid"

Rain didn't know how she had gotten so much courage that she was finally confronting him, telling him what she thinks.

"Angel" Reid pulled her close and held her face between his hands. His gaze into her eyes. He could smell the chocolate on her and be losing focus.

"Baby, you are sweet, you are smart, I have even seen you being brave, you are everything, but not a toy"

He moved his face closer, he knew he can't kiss her, even though he wanted to, he craved to.

Bringing his lips closer to hers, he gave a light peck just near her lips.

"You can't imagine, that every time I am with you, I am on the verge of losing all my control"

Rain kept nodding and listening to him. She never realized how much effect she had over him.

"F*ck"

He cursed under his breath, only now noticing the dress she wore. They shouldn't be there, surrounded by people, they should be in their room, with her under him.

"I shouldn't" he took a deep breath, trying not to look down anymore.

She was looking like an angel, so pure, so innocent, untouched, no marks, flawless.

"Baby, I am so glad you wore it outside and not at our apartment" his voice was getting husky as he moved his face closer, just above her ears

"Or I would have already torn it apart"

Rain sucked in a breath hearing his confession. She could only bite her lip in fear that she shouldn't moan.

"I need to clear my head..no no don't pout. I am not going anywhere, but I can't control anymore if we are alone"

Reid didn't any more second, before grabbing her hand and pulling her towards the rides and stalls, which were now lit heavily.

Rain looked up at the big rides. She didn't know if she could tell Reid yet about how much she was scared of them.

One must not watch the final destination when they are young.

She still remembers when her Dad...was it her dad.. someone had brought the movie for them to watch. She wasn't able to ride for a whole year and only agreed to when her Dad picked up the smallest one for her.

Reid put his arm around her shoulder as they approached one of the bigger ones.

*Sooner better than later*

Rain thought to herself. He should know about my fears, if ...what she assumed is right and they are together now.

"Are you ready, Angel?" Reid asked with enthusiasm, bouncing a little from one foot to another.

He was muscular with a well-gifted body but acted like a kid sometimes. *Sometimes*

She just nodded her head.

She planned to close her eyes and sing her favorite song, which had helped her survive everything.

Reid got in first and then lent a hand for her to get in too.

*Ferris wheel, why he had to choose Ferris wheel out of all the rides here*

She bit her nails, as she held one of the rails by her side, and it was shaking, maybe everything was shaking.

She tried not to glance at the nuts that were holding the cart in its place since that would make her more nervous.

"Angel?"

Did Reid say her name? She wasn't sure, she couldn't focus on anything as it started moving.

*Only a few minutes, only a few minutes then it will be over*

"Angel"

Rides made her scared, not just scared but when you feel your heart in your throat scared, and when she was this nervous, she would close her eyes and laugh.

It was okay when she was alone, but right now, she was with Reid and as the cart was moving up, she could feel her heart pounding in her chest.

She shouldn't look down, she should close her eyes, but she wanted to see, to know if she falls what will be the damage.

Two strong arms wrapped around her and she felt her anxiety slowly going away.

"I didn't know" Reid wrapped his arms around her tightly and whispered in her ears.

With one hand still around her waist, the other went near her face and brought it near.

"Don't look down, Angel. Look up" He motioned her to look up in the sky, which was now clear and lightening with the stars.

"It's just you and me...me and you" he whispered again as they both gazed in the sky.

"I won't let you get hurt now. I promise" he mumbled closer to her lips.

Rain threw her arms around him, her heart still beating fast, her head on his chest. She could hear his heartbeat racing too

"It's not the ride, Angel, it's you, so closer to me" he chuckled, trying to hide a blush as he kept his face above hers.
