CHAPTER FORTY-SIX

"It all started when he was still a child. A pure, innocent child who knew nothing but how to smile and laugh on his full will like all other children." he started to tell me William's life story.

"Hm-hm, I'm listening go ahead," I told him so that he can continue to tell me more and also what happened after that.

"If I remember correctly she was a transferred student in our class and the moment she entered William lost his heart by her unimaginable beauty. It was when he was still 17 years old boy."

"Her name please?" I interrupted him, I don't know why but I was really curious to know her.

"Ohh yes sorry I forgot to tell her name and it's because after she left William it became taboo to call her name well (sigh), her was Angela."

"Woah... Sounds like an angel name."

"Yeah exactly and just like her name she also had the angel face, a cute and innocent one. And when William asked her to be his girlfriend she rejected him. And William thought she rejected him because she's too innocent and doesn't want to trust any random person."

"As time passes by William started to love her even more than before. Her smile, anger, love, jokes, innocence all and everything were like some kind of drugs to him."

"Really? Sounds like a Romeo." I joked and both of us started to laugh.

"Well can say that," he remarked back.

"So, can I continue further, Mrs. William?" he asked smiling

"Firstly stop calling me that just call me Jeb and yeah sure you can so go ahead." I also replied politely having a smile on my face.

He smiled and without saying any word again he continues his story.

"He constantly woos her for almost 2 to 3 months and after that, she finally said 'YES'. William was so really happy to be with her. They dated for almost 3 whole years."

"Then what happened and what was the reason behind their break up if both of them were really in love with each other?" I asked curiously.

"No you are wrong there because it was only William who loved her wholeheartedly but unfortunately he didn't get the same amount of love in return. Let's not talk about the same amount in fact he didn't even get half of it."

"Yes, this is what you call a twist." I clapped excitedly.

"Hey girl, really?" he asked shocked.

"Fine, my mistake there," I said and raise my hands in surrender.

He smiled and continued with his story furthermore.

"William's parents knew that Angela is not good for William so they asked him to break up with her and this makes him furious. As a result slowly and little by little William started to keep his distance from his parents."

"Angela made him hate his parents and told him to ask his parents about his shares in the company. And he did the same, this made Mr. Vernanda furious and he cut his ties with him."

"Mr. Vernanda thought, if he does this maybe William would agree to leave Angela after all as you know William loves power the most."

"So did he left her for fame? I bet he did." I said confidently.

"You think so?" Roman asked.

"Definitely," I replied crossing my arms over my chest.

"Well then sorry to pop your little bubble but no he choose love over, power, fame, money, and on every other thing," he replied but this time he also crossed his arms over his chest and copied me. Lol, maybe he was trying to tease me.

But his response hit me really hard. I was speechless like how can some rude, arrogant, bastard, possessive, obsessive, lusty, flirty, ill-mannered, and on top of everything, someone who only cares about power can choose love.

The William I know is nothing like the William Roman was describing that time. But still, his past has nothing to do with me, so why I have to be his puppet. Also, I don't deserve this so-called behavior of his even if he had to face anything in his past.

Every single alive person had a bad experience but this doesn't mean you can use other people as his/her replacement to torture them till their death.

"Shocked?" Roman asked.

"Literally really hard," I replied.

"We all were too. But after Mr. Vernanda cut his ties with William Angela's behavior with him also started to change. She always told him that he can't afford her lifestyle and this and that."

"And just to afford her so-called lifestyle William got a job and worked day and night for her and she just knew how to waste his salary on her parties and on buying drinks for her named friends."

As he told me about his doing a job just for the girl he loves I got shocked. It can't be. No, literally this can't be true. The William I know would never do a job just for the sake of some low salary when he can have anything he wants under his father's business.

"Want to know more or is this enough?" Roman asked.
