Plans of Relaxation

"Damn bro, you need a hug or something?" Alexander responded. "It hasn't been fully processed by me yet." "Why did they divorce? If I'm not being too intrusive." "Arguments plus dad was being aggressive to my mother and I. Plus it seems like he has been cheating on my mother." "Geez, you sure you're good dude." "If I was next to him, he would be getting a warm hug." "Thanks, Yumi, I needed that." "I feel instead of the slaps I have for you it should be hugs." Samantha stated. "IF my bro needs hugs, he'll get hugs. Simple as that." Alexander said confidently.

"At least now I can practice basketball without any issues now that my dad isn't home anymore." "That's fair. Glad you're seeing the good from this. Your dad was pressuring you too much with academic accomplishments." "Yup, glad my dude can play basketball in peace but wasn't Ken waiting for his dad to come back home for over a year. That's actually rough buddy." "But honestly the person that came home doesn't feel like my dad. Yes, he would push me in school endeavors but he wouldn't do anything to hurt mom or me.

"I don't know man. It seems like your dad changed a lot in that past year." "It seems so Sam. Unfortunately, it was for the worse." I added. "Anyways this might be important but let's cheer our bro up. How about we discuss our days out." "I was thinking that we spend the day doing stuff that we like to do." "Good idea Yumi, there's a karaoke club I'd like to go to." Samantha claimed. "How about I invite y'all to my house and I play some videogames the entire day. I have lots of multiplayer games like Brawl and lots of controllers." "I'm up to wrecking you in Brawl so sounds like fun. Despite I'm still tired from camp I wanna play basketball for the entire day. What about you Yumi?" I asked.

"Quietly spending a day using the library would be nice." "It would be nearly impossible with loud mouth Alex." "That was unnecessary shade thrown towards me and you know it. Plus, I can keep quiet if I really want to." "You keeping quiet is like me resting from basketball." "Again, more unnecessary shade towards me. Yumi help me!" he begged. "I mean, they're not really wrong." she nonchalantly stated. "Not you too. Why is everyone being so mean today?" "You deserved it, dude," I stated while breaking into laughter.

"Tomorrow, we'll head to the karaoke club close to Central Park. On Tuesday, we'll head over to Alex's house to play some video games. On Wednesday, we'll head to the court in Central Park to play basketball. Thursday we'll spend a quiet day in the library." "I got no problem with that but what about Friday. We gotta do something then." "How about we have a picnic at the beach?" Ayumi suggested quite softly. "Good idea we'll have a good time at the beach stuffing our faces, playing in the sea, and playing on the sand. Anyone up for beach volleyball?" They agreed and soon we had our chill routine before summer was over.

We conversed about the situation some more and soon the bedroom was filled so much by darkness; if I didn't have my phone I wouldn't be able to see at all. "Whelp, dude, and lasses it's that time so I'll be dipping and get some rest before I wreck Ken in Brawl. Later!" He had left the call so abruptly and soon Samantha did the same. Ayumi and I talked for a bit longer before she began yawning uncontrollably. "It's been nice talking to you Ken but unfortunately I'm too tired to keep up with this conversation. We'll finish this talk tomorrow. See ya." Before I had the chance to return the goodbye she left and I rested my head on the pillow and soon I drifted away to sleep.

Darkness shrouded me as a dim light around me and another figure presented itself. The figure approached me and for some reason I found myself immobilized. The figure was revealed to be my younger self and he sat on the floor right in front of me and I was released from my inhibition. "SO how are you doing?" "Wouldn't you know?" "Believe it or not I wasn't monitoring you lately." "Well, my parents got divorced and I'm kind of shaken up by it." "Oh, for what reason." "Basically, my dad hasn't been himself lately and because of that my mother divorced him."

"Aren't you happy? Hasn't he been holding you back from practicing basketball as much as you'd like to because you have to maintain perfect grades? So why aren't you happy? I'd be ecstatic." "Fair but I've also wanted my dad back in my life for over a year now." "That's true. HE did leave and you both weren't on the best terms. So, you have mixed feelings about it, don't you?" "Yeah. On one side I can practice basketball without a problem but on the other side I lost my father permanently." the two of us stared at each other with a solemn look in our eyes.

"I'm so glad I just have to watch you from aside because I wouldn't be able to handle what you're going through right now." He stated before immediately having a change in age and a sudden growth spurt. Soon a carbon copy of myself was standing before me and I didn't know how I felt about that. "Guess this is my required form now huh. I guess I'm more mature so I can give you some good advice." my cognitive form stated. "Fair I guess but that doesn't change the fact it's weird that I have a carbon copy inside my sub-conscience," I added.

"I have a question. Why do you like that Jasmine girl in your school when Ayumi is way better and she's much cuter than that cheerleading chick?" "Yumi and I are best friends; I don't wanna ruin that so I'm keeping my emotions in check." My other self, shook his head as his fingers began to fade away. "Guess my time is up for now. We'll speak again later so be ready for it." he stated before he completely faded away into thin air before my eyes. I woke up as I saw my mother hovering above me since I was restless in my sleep last night.
