Chapter 5: Five Silvers

I woke up feeling refreshed. The bed wasn't all that comfortable but it would do for now.

I sat up on the bed to check my belongings. I still had my status page, the dorm key and my medal.

I continued to search my pockets.

Until I took out a sack.

This was the sack of coins the priest had given to me .I wonder how many coins the cheapskate putted into it.

I shook out the coins on the bed, and started counting.

Three silvers and 200 bronze coins.[1]

That would be....

Five silvers! What the heck? How does he expected me to survive on 5 silvers .I barely carried any clothes with me. How could he be so heartless. He will pay for this.

No use crying over this. Just got do what I have to do.

I started observing my room.

It had a bed, a chest, a closet and dresser with a mirror. The wood quality; well it wasn't inferior.

The closet and the dresser had some clothes which include a uniform.

This uniform was a black robe trimmed with white and with a large bronze cross at the back completed with a White shirt and a black pants and a bronze belt to keep it all together.

I tried on the uniform to be surprised that it was a perfect fit. There are even pockets inside the robes. The pockets were large I could even put a book in here.

I took off the uniform and put it inside the closest on a hanger.

Then only to hear a large crowd running outside my dorm.

I stopped what I was doing and went to check what was going on.

The sight that I behold was totally not normal. There was easily 1000 students running past my door. An as curiosity kick I followed behind them.

Couple doors later I arrive at dorm number 2500 . Only to find a multitude.

What's going on hear? I shouted.

Don't you see that we are waiting to use the bathroom.(Random kid)

To use then what! (Daybian)

You don't know what a bathroom now is? Well let me educate you ,a bathroom is a room that you go to.... .( Random kid)

I just ignored him for the rest of the time. I just couldn't understand why a bunch of ten and elven year olds standing outside waiting to use a bathroom. Were the toilets made of gold.

I knew it would probably take days before that line was cleared so I could use. I slowly went back to my dorm.

As I got back I sat down on my bed and took out the handbook,this was a great way to kill time.

I began skipping through the pages to see if I saw anything interesting. Then only to see bathrooms/showers.

I started reading.

( The bathrooms at the dorms contains 100 showers and 50 toilets. Students are recommend to be awake at 6:00am so that the showers can be used before classes which start at 8:15.

Recommend timing per student for shower 5 minutes.

Just great. Perfect timing for this information to pop up.

Now should I just skip the shower.

I don't smell that bad.

I doubt anyone would notice. I decided to just wear the uniform and act as normally as possible

I walked out of my room back to the intersection.

The golden metal bars that I saw last night was some sort of gate. It was open now so I glad went through.

After walking for a couple of minutes I arrived at an open space with 3 large buildings.

One of the buildings looked like a really large church.

I was so amazed by the large buildings that I didn't even notice a guard coming towards me.

It's wonderful isn't it . I had the same feeling when I first got here. And can you believe that all three schools of healing are built like this. (Guard)

The one to your left are the classrooms on the lowest level of it is the cafeteria

The one to your right is the auditorium building which also holds the teachers principal and main offices. The one in the center my favorite. The library which also has training rooms above it. (Guard)

So which one should I be heading to now Sir. (Daybian)

Oh sorry got a little carried away there. Yes you should head to the auditorium. The official gathering of students should be going on now.

I will head there immediately. (Daybian)

(That one looks promising. To bad that he will have to go back inside the dorms for his bag. It's always fun to watch these late comers running back and forth.)Gaurd

I headed straight towards the auditorium building.

There was many students running around. Some look like they were 15 some younger.

Went I finally got to the auditorium I realized that it was already half full.

I'm really glad I didn't stop to take that shower.

I quickly took a seat in area with limited persons. There were many persons on the stage. Even that bearded guy. What's his name again. Wonkier Wanker.

Whatever his name, was just up their relaxing isn't he some vender. I hope he is not a teacher.

STUDENTS PLEASE SETTLE DOWN

BE QUITE. FIND A SEAT. NO FIGHT OVER THE CHAIRS. WE ARE GOING TO BEGIN SOON. SPEAK SOFTLY.

The teachers ,well I think they are teachers, kept on shouting those commands at us. Until the noise died down.

These seats were not comfortable and I just hope they won't be long.

After about 5 minutes of sitting on these uncomfortable chairs. Some guy came up and took the mic.

He was tall about 6ft but he was bald. For a school of healing they could have helped with that.
