Chapter 22

I kept asking what had happened and why she had a look of falsehood in her eyes. The just kept saying that she didn't know what had happened and that she was in the room the whole time, she kept saying that she didn't do it, even though I didn't even ask if she did. She was acting really strange, but I didn't want to push her buttons, so I left her alone. I went to the bathroom and heard footsteps going to my room, I washed my hands and when I got out, my mom yelled for me to come into my room, I was in trouble big time.

"Why didn't you tell me that you helped this unconscious girl and brought her here to get better? Plus, you have a GIRLFRIEND?!?!" I was a little shocked that she didn't even yell in anger or anything like that. "Luckily, I made just enough for all of us to eat, there is frozen pizza too if there is no more spaghetti and meatballs left", I am so glad my mom is the way she is, so loving, caring, and understanding, my dad, on the other hand, we don't speak of him and the irresponsible choices he made. He was an alcoholic, he was inconsiderate, cruel, and downright mean to us, he died a year after imprisonment(being put in jail), but this isn't about him.

"I am so happy for you sweetheart, anyway, let's go wash up for dinner." she left with a happy smile on her face. Isabella and I left the room and into the bathroom to wash our hands, everyone sat at the table while me and my mom passed out the plates of spaghetti and leaving one on the counter for Selina. Olivia and Ruby texted their parents as to where they are and to pick them up then ate while complementing my moms cooking, she is the best. We were all finished eating, Selina got up right when Olivia and Ruby left the driveway, she sat at the table like she was tired and hungry but didn't want to say anything. My mom handed her a plate and said something along the lines of "oh you poor child, go on, eat up", it kind of reminded me of when I was a kid when she tried to give me at least a little food, that was when my dad was being a jerk and claimed everything as his own, even the food. I'm glad that he is finally out of our lives for good.
