The United African Continent is a governmental power that stretched over the continent of Africa. Their leader is a man known as Mahek Abdula; In our story, as it stands no one knows that either of these things is in existence. Mahek Abdula is a man from Morocco who survived the great tribal Scism. The Scism led to what was known as the great burning which was a genocide that washed across the northern territories of Africa. The survivors of The Great Burning started The Great Tribal War. This is where we find the first record of Mahek Abdula. He started out as a foot soldier in the army that represented Morocco.
His performance during the war decorated him with many medals. Everything from saving his comrades to stopping several large caravans in their tracks. The war lasted for around six years and Mahek fought every one of those years. After those years he wanted to step into politics. He went with the stance of wanting to unite Africa under one banner.
He managed to win control over Morocco and immediately after he took power he began training soldiers. His office was one that took a military stance and it did very openly. During the next two years of his political office, the Morrocian military grew three times the size from when he was in their service. Morocco went through a food and water shortage after the war which took three years for him to solve while in office.
When he got to where the Morrocian military was four times the size of what it used to be war came to Africa again. He began his march to unite Africa with no mercy on the people he fought against. What bought him the biggest support was if no one fought them they didn't get harmed. He made it a rule that his soldiers wouldn't hurt women or children. If he did find that they hurt them then he executed them publicly. This is what earned him the reputation of the most loved and hated man in Africa.
The war took eight years. These events sat around 15 or 20 years before the fog engulfed the world. When they took control of the entire continent money went from being military-focused to science focus. This led to black sites popping up around the continent. The world never focused on Africa when the third revolution ignited in the Middle East. The revolution led to another invasion from Russia and America. Even to this day, the world thinks that Africa is still divided. The viral fog was created in the black sites that sit across Africa and so did the vaccine. Under the union and its leader Mahek Abdula, the people of Africa lived in a very wealthy and very advanced country. His government gave everyone in Africa and its military the vaccine. This meant that they couldn't be put under the influence of the virus.
Mahek had taken part in selling bioweapons to every major country around the planet. It leads to him being able to pay for his military's new uniforms and the countries new flag. The uniforms and the flag had been solid black with thin red lines forming what seemed to be a triad inside of an octogon. This was the flag and uniform that would make its debut in the Italian invasion. Mahek Abdula even after invading and taking Sicily didn't let the world know that Africa was united under a new flag. The only thing people know is that a group came from somewhere in the fog and took over Sicily.
Small amounts of Mahek's soldiers had managed to get into other countries trying to recruit people into their ranks. Their offer to everyone had been that if they joined them that they and their families would receive the vaccine. This was something that appealed to everyone. They managed to get a small number of members from every country except for America and the A.F.A.F.I.; which was formed after the U.A.C. members had gotten into Italy's mainland.
The members that had gotten into America failed to compete with the cults and anarchists that had weaseled through the cracks. The country went to shit when President Williams was elected. He tried to make America bend under his thumb of power. The members that came to America had been met with protests and the country being controlled by whichever company managed to buy up the most businesses. Presidental was pretty hands-off as capitalism began to run rampant.
Any of Mahek's men that had been in America the month after the fog had settled had been killed during the uprising. In the other countries, his men lived and still continued to recruit people as the vaccine had become more valuable. That sat waiting for his word to make their move on the governments in the various countries that now stood in waiting. No one knows the threat that the U.A.C. was to the world. It was like a monster lying in wait for a victim that it was stalking.
No one knows where the U.A.C. plans on attacking next but they do know that the world was crippled. The plan of allowing the rest of the world to infect itself with a deadly virus was something that Mahek had been thinking about for years. He promised the people of the U.A.C. that he would take the world under the black flag of their country. This promise was what he would keep by any means necessary.
"The world was guilty of trying to constantly take other people from their homes and claiming it as their own. This is something that we all have seen throughout history and it got repeated many times over. Everyone from Rome to Germany. They all wanted to claim land from others in pursuit of what they claimed was the good of their country. Rome thought that they could make the world better. Germany claimed that their people had a right to the land no matter who originally claimed it. It was a delusion that was also seen in the crusades and in the formation of the Americas. Even the colonization of our land here in Africa was a victim of the idea. We had been seen as lesser than the ones who came here. The only good that the activities like this did was that they taught everyone to better protect themselves. We are united and we will show the world!" - Mahek Abdula Address Of The Union.
-------------------------------Sneak Peek at Vol. 2- Ignition--------------------------------------
The combined forces of Italy and the A.F.A.F.I. were charging towards the coastlines between Sicily and mainland Italy. They had been toating materials to build a temporary bridge for them to cross tanks and other heavy armor into Sicily. They had managed to get anywhere near close to the coast under the cover of French naval fire. The smell of fire mixed with burned flesh, and blood hung in the air around the soldiers as they continued towards Sicily.
The air was heavy with fog and burning water. Their masks had been caked in mud making it hard for them to see. Groups of the men had huddled in the craters crying for their homes. It was strange that all of them thought that getting into Sicily would be an easy invasion. This was not the case.
