03 | Jeez So Demanding

Paige's point of view ~

He had the same dark brown hair and eyes, and was wearing a black t-shirt that fit him perfectly, and black jeans. His room was like a desert with hills of unpacked boxes instead of sand. He was on his bed looking at his phone when he glanced up in my direction. I gasped and quickly ducked under my window so he wouldn't catch me staring at him.

Hunter turns his head sideways looking at me then to the window. He jumps off the bed making the loudest THUMP and runs towards me, knocking me off my balance. He barks and licks my face leaving wet slobber all over my cheek, and jumps up to the window making him more see able.

Leo's Point of View ~

It's been about a week since I just moved from my old house, and my room is still filled with unpacked boxes piling up in my new room. I miss it already. I miss the home I grew up in and all my friends. Even though I'd rather go back home, I do love it here. The air always smells like the ocean and the weather is almost always perfect. I've made a couple of good friends, four guys to be exact.

I'm laying on my bed swiping through my old text messages from months ago. I'm deep into my messages when I found one from my old best friend.

Hey, sorry, but we can't be friends anymore. Sorry bro, I'm just not feeling it anym-

A loud barking noise coming from outside my window interrupts my thoughts.

I look up and just realize that the house next to me has a window across from mine making the room visible.

I slowly get up from my bed and start to walk towards my new window, but trip over a pile of boxes I haven't gotten to unboxing yet.

"Shit!" I groan, while rubbing my bruised foot.

I hear another bark and I look to see a big German Shepherd dog through the window next to mine. He was acting like a puppy, whining and barking at a new person. I have a dog named Sadie, she's a golden retriever, she acts the same way: hyper 24/7.

I peer into the window across from mine. I see a girls bedroom. It has a large bookcase, and the rest of the room looks cozy.

Suddenly a girl pops up out of nowhere and opens her window.

She had brown eyes that sparkled from the sun beaming down onto her. Her hair was kind of wavy, it was a sort of dark brown color. She was wearing grey sweatpants and a weird graphic looking, purple tank top.

"Are you okay?" She asks with a blank expression on her face. She's staring at me sitting on the ground holding my hurt foot. I let go of my foot and limp closer to the window.

"Who are you?" I ask then look at her dog that's still barking. She quietly shushes him and he walks off, leaving just the two of us.

"Jeez, why so demanding?" She frowned and put one hand on her hip and one on her chest dramatically.

I scoff and my eyes land on the book in her hand. It's Romeo and Juliet. She quickly hides her book behind her back after realizing I saw what she was reading. She probably likes reading a lot.

I look up at her and glare as I reach up to close the blinds.

I turn around and plop on my bed. I wonder what her name is, how old is she? She looked about my age. She was super sarcastic, but nice. She didn't care what I thought about her. People normally care, but she doesn't.

I quickly get rid of the thoughts about the girl next door and start to unpack the mountains of boxes piled up in my new room.
