Paige's Point of View ~
It's been a couple of days and I've done nothing so far, so I decided to have a productive day today. Which will end up to be nothing too.
I wake up to a loud crash coming from downstairs. I groan and slowly pull the cover out of my face and wince from the sunlight. I take a hot shower and get ready for the day. I pull on a white t-shirt and my favorite pair of denim shorts.
After I'm finished I quickly run downstairs to see what the noise that woke me up was.
I walk into the kitchen and see my sister trying to get her burnt pop-tart out of the toaster. I open the fridge and grab ingredients for blueberry pancakes. Ronnie grabs her stuff and runs towards the door. I decide to put the ingredients back in the fridge because I don't know how to cook.
"Wai-," I start, BANG! She slams the door before I can ask where she's going. My dad's at work again, so it looks like I'm on my own today.
After I'm done heating up a pop-tart, I hear a knock on the door. When I open the door a lady my mom's age is on the doorstep. She smiles and stares at me for a couple of seconds.
"Hello!" She says enthusiastically and fixes her blouse.
"Hi, how can I help you?" I question her politely, smiling back.
"I just moved here, I live right next door, I thought I'd introduce myself to my new neighbors." She seemed to be like the jolly type. The kind of neighbor to bake cookies for her neighbors randomly.
"Oh! I'm Paige, would you like to come in?" She smiled at me and nodded. I opened the door more and she stepped inside. She was wearing a long floral dress and a white knit sweater.
"Thank you Paige, I'm Lily Walker. It's nice to meet you," I start to feel my eyes widen, but she thankfully can't see me because her back is turned looking around the house. She was the mom of the guy next door.
"Welcome to the neighborhood Lily, how do you like it so far?"I smile and motion for her to sit at the stools by the island. As she sits down she says, "It's absolutely wonderful here. The beach is perfect for my kids. Oh, you must meet them, My Leo's you're age." She says while pointing to me smiling.
I roll my eyes inside. Leo seems like he's on the more popular side, like Ronnie. He's the kind of guy the girls at my school would far head over heels for.

After talking to each other for a couple of hours She leaves. I notice the house they live in is slightly bigger than ours. Maybe his parents got a new job? Or maybe a promotion? Either way their house was very large. I wonder what it looks like inside.
I plop down onto the couch and flip through the channels to see what's on.
I click on a random channel paying reruns of Gilmore Girls, sigh and rest my head on one of the pillows on the couch, making myself comfortable.

It's been about an hour or so, so I decide to take Hunter out on a walk.
It's warm outside, but more overcast then I thought it would be. I start to walk around the neighborhood looking at all the nice houses. I haven't really met any of the other neighbors besides Sarah. I've met a couple of dog owners, but Harley gave them the wrong impression by just being a big dog with big teeth.
I wonder what Ronnie is doing right now. Probably out partying with some random people. It's weird how she gets invited to so many parties and events.
I notice a random dog barking, but I can't find where the dog is coming from. Harley starts to bark back and that's when a Golden Retriever appears, running towards us panting and barking as she comes closer.
All the sudden the dog jumps on me making me lose my balance and fall onto the sidewalk. I start to feel my arm hurt, and I see blood.
The puppy looks at me with a worried look spread across her innocent face.
She wines and I reassure her, "It's alright," I pause to look at her name tag, "Sadie."
