New Life
That last statement hit Alex like a ton of bricks. He tried to yell out in protest but as soon as he opened his mouth his body began to feel like it was being stretched like rubber, and a disorienting feeling washed over him. The white light faded and he began to hear birds chirping and wind brushed his face. Alex took a deep breath in and smelled perfectly fresh air.
'Earth's air can't even come close to this,' he thought, 'it's so fresh.'
He opened his eyes and saw a vast grass plain in front of him, and past the grass plain, a giant walled city that looked like a grey stone on the horizon.
"Wow!" Alex exclaimed. But what he heard was not his usual baritone voice, but a cute and charming female voice.
"AHH WHAT THE FUCK! THAT BASTARD ZISREN HOW CAN YOU FORGET SOMETHING THAT IMPORTANT!" yelled Alex, however it didn't sound half as intimidating as he expected it to.
'I am so screwed. What the hell man' Alex cursed Zisren over and over in his mind.
Alex began to feel up his new body. Two medium sized mounds sat on his chest, and his best friend from down below was now completely gone!
'Hey at least it's not all bad, I'm not flat' Alex thought.
The next thing Alex noticed was his height. When he was on Earth, he was 6 feet tall, but now he estimated he was around 5'6 or 5'7. Alex sighed and his head drooped down making his now shiny silver hair fall in front of his face. It was long and reached his waist so he could see how beautiful it was.
'Woah! I completely forgot that I changed my hair color, this looks so cool!' Alex mentally exclaimed. 'Wait what clothes am I wearing?'
Alex looked down at his new clothing, staring at his fit body thinking 'hey I'm pretty hot aren't I?' Almost forgetting how he was mad at the God Zisren.
As Alex was peering at his body he took note of the clothes he was wearing. On his feet he was wearing knee high brown leather boots, his pants were black and tucked into the boots, showing off his well formed legs. Once again looking at his chest he saw that part of his stomach was showing, exhibiting the pure white skin on a flat stomach that made him look like a porcelain doll, and the rest of his upper body was covered in a leather armor top covering his chest and extending with tight long sleeves wrapping up his arms.
"It's a little windy on my stomach, but I can make do with what I have for now. It's not like I was expecting amazing equipment right off the bat" Alex whispered.
Now taking note of his weapons, he realized he had a basic iron longsword sitting on his waist in a black sheath that matched his pants. Drawing the sword he quickly realized it was extremely light.
'No way it is this light, I think I would have had trouble holding it in my male body let alone my new female one!' Alex thought, 'must be because I got body strengthening as one of my abilities.'
After examining the longsword, Alex then took note of a dagger strapped to his right leg, and another strapped to the back of his waist.
'Ahh this is sick imagine dual wielding daggers how cool would that be I'd be like an assassin!' Alex exclaimed in his mind.
While pondering what he should do next, Alex heard leaves rustling behind him. Turning around, Alex now realized he was 20 feet from the edge of a forest, and a pair of bright yellow eyes were staring at him from the bushes.
Drawing his sword, Alex prepared himself while getting into a fighting stance.
'Better safe than sorry, I don't know anything about this world, for all I know that is an extremely deadly monster' he thought.
Almost as if on queue, the yellow eyes emerged from the bushes, attached to a light grey wolf body, however it wasn't the wolf Alex knew of from Earth. It was a huge, muscular wolf, easily two times the size of one from Earth. It approached Alex, releasing a deep growl from its mouth while drooling.
'You have GOT to be kidding me, what the hell is this thing! Might as well compare a wolf from Earth to a puppy while looking at this thing.'
While Alex was brooding over his bad luck, the wolf made its move. It sped up, closing the distance between itself and Alex in a matter of a couple seconds, and jumping into the air while opening its jaws wide, targeting Alex's throat.
Almost out of instinct, Alex made a swift dodge to the side, slashing his sword towards the throat of the huge wolf. The sword made contact, drawing a huge amount of blood from the wolf. It staggered for a second, before collapsing from blood loss.

"Waa!" Alex let out a scream, as he was not expecting to have a voice in his head.
"What is this? Is this like a game?" Alex was trying to figure out what he heard just a moment ago before he felt some information flow into his head.
'Ah so that's what it is. Status!' Alex spoke in his mind.
After thinking of the word status, a half-transparent screen resembling the one he used with the God Zisren popped up in front of his face.
'SO COOL!' Alex screamed mentally.

Another semi-transparent box popped in front of Alex's face.
"Eeeeh!?"
[It's Zisren, I hope you are adjusting well.]
"Ah you bastard! How could you forget to tell me that I was going to be a girl!" Alex yelled at the screen.
There was no response from the screen, and Alex's face went red with anger, but just as he was about to hurl more insults at the forgetful God, the box responded.
[I apologize for that. You were so eager to go, it just happened to slip my mind until the last moment.]
"Grrr, well I guess it's ok, at least I get to reincarnate in the first place" said Alex.
[That is a good way to think about it.]
[Well, anyways that is not why I decided to communicate with you.]
"Then why did you?" questioned Alex.
[To explain the system as well as giving you an apology gift from me.]
[To summarize, the system is the same thing as the status screen in front of you.]
[It is used throughout this world as a way for identification, along with other things.]
"Interesting, so it's like video games sort of?"
[Indeed, it is similar to the video games you speak of.]
[You are able to show it to other people by thinking in your mind 'Status Visible'.]
[If you do not want to show it to people, think 'Status' and it will only be visible to you.]
[In this world, strength and other attributes are quantified, and shown through your status.]
"Oh so is that why I saw the strength, defense, and other numbers?" asked Alex.
[That is correct, what you saw were your stats.]
[There is also a leveling system, that quantifies your growth.]
[For example, just a moment ago, you killed that grey wolf, and gained experience from it.]
[After gaining the experience, you leveled up, increasing you stats.]
[For example, your HP and MP increased by 20, while the rest of your stats went up by 5.]
"Isn't that pretty lame? Only increasing by 20 and 5 that seems so slow."
[No, in fact, that is quite extraordinary, normal beings on this planet only increase HP and MP by 10 per level, while the rest of the stats only increase by 2 or 3.]
[If we are talking about a normal level 1 person, they usually have around 100 HP and MP, and the rest of their stats are around 10 or so. Due to you choosing body strengthening, magic pool, and mind multiplication, your stats corresponding with those abilities were increased.]
[However there are exceptions. For example, there are people who are more suited for magic, and therefore their HP will increase by 5, but their MP with increase by 15.]
[The same goes for the rest of the stats, if there is a bulky warrior type, their strength may go up by 5 or more, but their intelligence and agility may only go up by 1 or even 0.5]
[In your case, you made your abilities almost perfectly balanced towards both types of combat, so your stats will all go up by equal levels.]
"Hey Zisren, why do my stats go up so much faster than other peoples?" asked Alex.
[That is because you have gained the "Reincarnator" title.]
[You automatically gained it when you reincarnated here, and it doubles your stat increases per level to help you catch up to other people since you are already 17 years old.]
"Hey that's pretty amazing!" exclaimed Alex.
[Before I forget, Charisma basically stays the same throughout your life.]
"Why is that? What does it even do, and why is mine so high?" questioned Alex.
[Charisma is a stat that is directly related to beauty, and it increases the likeliness that people will be attracted to you. For example, a gorgeous man or woman will have higher charisma, while an overweight or ugly person will have less.]
[However there are cases where, for example, an overweight person will work out and get fit, so their charisma will increase slightly in correspondence with how attractive they are.]
[In your case, it will be hard to explain why yours is so high unless you were to see yourself.]
"Umm... ok? I don't understand but I will go check it out in a bit."
[Last but not least is your {SKILLS} section.]
[When you select it, it shows you all the skills you have acquired over you lifetime, and quantifies that mastery with levels.]
[For example, if you were to find out your natural affinity for magic is fire, and you taught yourself some basic fire magic spells, the numerical value attached would be level 1.]
[This level will increase the more you use your skill, and the better you get at using it.]

[The new ones are some that I granted to you as an apology gift. While they are not max level, I'm sure that they will aide you in your journeys.]
[I must remind you that level 10 is very rarely reached, and is commonly only achieved by those who are masters and have been working towards level 10 in that skill for their entire life.]
"Oh shit so I'm like a cheat character!"
[Correct, this is what humans from Earth would call a cheat character.]
Alex was so happy that he started jumping and running around the grassy plain with a smile on his face.
"Hey Zisren I know I was mad earlier but I think I'll be ok now. Even if I am a girl I'm still a cool cheat character who's gonna be the best in this world."

"Bye Zisren!" yelled Alex with a smile.
Alex looked up the blue sky and yelled, "YEEESSSSSS" at the top of his lungs.
'This is the best! I'm gonna be so strong nobody will be better than me! I'm gonna earn a ton of money and get all the girls!' Alex thought.
Getting out of his happiness induced daydream, Alex now locked his eyes on the grey wolf corpse.
'Let's try out this new skill I got from Zisren. Inspect!'

A commonly found grey wolf. Has sharp claws and fangs. Usually travels in packs, which can be dangerous, but alone it isn't much of a threat.

"Oooh I can get money for bringing in the corpse that's great!" Alex exclaimed.
'I wonder if I can use inspect on certain things in my status page' pondered Alex. 'Inspect!'
Alex aimed his inspect at another new skill, Storage.

Used to store anything inside a dimensional pocket. Size of the dimensional pocket increases every time the skill levels up.
Note: Living things cannot be stored. Time is stopped inside dimensional pocket.

"Oh! It's an Item Box skill! It even stops time inside! So helpful!" said Alex.
He walked up to the grey wolf corpse.
"Storage!"
The next second the corpse disappeared, only leaving its lost blood behind.
In his mind, Alex thought 'Storage display', and a semi-transparent screen showed itself. It had 4 boxes in a 2x2 setting. One box was now taken by the grey wolf corpse.
'Interesting, I wonder how many more slots I will get when I level this skill up' thought Alex.
"Next skill. Inspect!" said Alex.

"Ok looking good." Alex gave himself a thumbs up. "It wouldn't be good if someone saw I had a status deception skill."
"GRR" Alex's stomach growled.
"Well I suppose it is probably time to eat, it seems to be around lunchtime." Alex said while looking at the sun above his head.
'Ok! Mission number 1 is a go! Let's find some monster that looks tasty so I can cook it to eat!' Alex thought.
Alex looked at the grassy plains and saw a dirt road running towards the walled city in the distance. There were a couple of carriages moving slowly on the road, some going towards the city, and some going away. Every single carriage had people walking around it with weapons.
'It seems that those people are adventurers meant to be guarding the merchants carriage' Alex thought, 'I suppose I shouldn't wander too far from here because I don't want to get lost and not be able to find my way towards the city.'
Alex turned away from looking at the dirt road, and looked towards the forest. He could easily tell that it would have monsters inside, since he almost immediately got attacked by one when he got to this world.
Alex decided to go into the forest because it would be the best option to find edible monsters that he could cook up for some food.
'I wonder if monster meat is edible?' Alex pondered, 'I guess I'll find out.'
Walking into the forest, Alex could hear the birds chirping. It was quite a refreshing feeling, as Alex used to live in a city, so he rarely went camping or into the countryside.
After walking for 5 minutes, he heard rustling once again. This time he drew his daggers, holding one in each hand, because his sword would have a hard time slashing due to the trees nearby.
"Gigyaaa....Ggiii....Giii"
Alex heard a voice he's never heard before. It almost sounded like a monkey, and it wasn't forming words, just making gibberish noises.
Peeking around a tree, he saw it. A small, green, humanoid creature. It was about the height of a small child, but had small, tight muscles all over its body. It had no clothes except for a loincloth covering its nether regions. It was carrying a small wooden club for a weapon.
"Goblin" Alex whispered.
Sneaking up behind the goblin, Alex grabbed his daggers tightly, making his knuckles turn white. As soon as he was just 5 feet away, the goblin finally noticed his presence. It screeched and tried to turn around, but it was just too slow, and Alex had already closed the distance and slashed its thin neck. Green blood flowed out of the gash, and the goblin fell over, drawing its last breath.

"Fwee! That was scary." Alex said, wiping the dagger covered in green blood on the grass below his feet. After sheathing his two daggers, Alex walked up to the goblin corpse.

"Oh sweet! It leveled up already! I wonder what it will show now!"

An extremely weak humanoid monster. It has low intelligence, and they usually form a tribe. They have a high reproduction rate, and often steal women from other races to use for reproduction purposes.
Note: Their ears can be sold at the adventurers guild for proof of subjugation.
Cooking: Their meat is not edible.

Alex, remembering he was a female now, shivered.
'Every single goblin I ever see I will kill there is no way that I will let these scoundrels live' Alex made a mental promise.
"Well at least I made money off killing him, but I still need to find food to cook. Another positive is my new inspect level shows me if the meat is edible or not."
Alex put the goblin body in his storage and continued on.
After walking around the outside section of the forest for a couple more minutes, he found it. It was a large boar looking monster with dark green hair and large fangs pointing upwards out of its mouth.
'Inspect!'

A boar that lives in the forest. Strong defense, but relatively slow. Beware of its charge, it hits hard and can easily fracture ribs and break other bones.
Note: Their fangs, hide, and meat can be sold at the adventurers guild.
Cooking: Their meat is delicious and is a commonly sold meat in street stalls.

'YES YES YES come to papa forest boar, or should I say mama now...'
Alex was drooling as he stalked the forest boar from behind. This time he didn't get within 15 feet before the boar sniffed the air with its large snout. It made a loud guttural snort noise and turned to face Alex. It was obviously pissed off for being hunted as it immediately started to scrape its hoof on the dirt, showing that it was going to charge soon.
"You are my perfect target practice Mr. Boar, time to test out my magic!"
The boar took offense to this taunt and began charging. It was like a truck driving towards Alex, however he didn't panic.
"HOLY ARROW" Alex yelled.
At that moment, 4 bright yellow magic arrows appeared at Alex's side. They flew forward with extreme speed and struck the face of the charging boar. It continued its charge straight at Alex. He drew his sword from his waist, dodging to the side at the very last second and swung his sword at the side of the boar, making a long deep gash. The boar was still alive, however its speed was even slower than before. Alex took advantage of this and charged at it, making an agile lunge before piercing the boar's throat with his sword. Blood spilled out and he heard a loud squeal and then a thump accompanied by a small dust plume.

At this point Alex knew that the boar was slain, so he calmed down his rapidly beating heart and checked his status.

"Hmm so the holy arrow spell took 40 MP to cast so that is 10 MP per arrow. That's pretty efficient! I could cast a whole barrage of arrows without draining my MP." Alex spoke to himself.
'Time to cook the meat!' Alex happily thought while smiling.
'Storage!'
Putting the forest boar in his storage, Alex began walking toward the edge of the forest back the way he came. Once out of the forest, Alex grabbed some sticks and twigs from nearby, making a campfire.
'Ah now this is where I wish I got fire magic' Alex thought.
Sitting down with some tinder and two sticks, Alex began rubbing the two sticks together like he saw in those survival Youtube videos. After about 20 minutes of pure frustration he finally got a small spark lit and he immediately transferred it to his campfire. After his fire was lit, he pulled the boar out of his storage, and cut off a chunk of its flank, skinning it, and grilling it above the fire.
After it was thoroughly cooked, Alex took it off the fire, and with a growling stomach, bit into his hard won meal.
"DELISHOUS!" Alex squealed with a full mouth.

Alex raised the meat into the air in celebration of his newly acquired skill. The meat was some of the most amazing meat he has ever had, making his mouth water even more with each bite. He didn't know if it was because he was hungry or because it was so fresh, but he would rank it in the top 5 meats he had ever had. He couldn't wait to try it in a street stall with spices to add to the flavor.
After finishing his meal, Alex put out the campfire and laid out on the grass with a full stomach.
'What an amazing world so far, it's so fun here.' Alex thought as he looked at the bright blue sky, daydreaming about his future adventures.
