Chapter 2

When I woke up, I suddenly have long beautiful blonde hair and a fair complexion which I don't have.

There are maids who catered to my needs after I wake up in the morning.

Dad is a cold breathing living human, same as my older brothers who seemed like made of ice.

We live in a castle-like mansion that I have dreamed to live in with my family when I was a kid.

Everything feels surreal. There is also that luxurious car who brought me in this private school.

As I was pondering, I felt someone sat beside me. I don't need to turn my head to know who is he.

I have a strong sense of smell so I remember what perfume a person uses. He's the boy from the car earlier.

I'm not that introvert. I just don't like crowded places and the likes. I don't want mingling with that huge number of people. Reading books are rather fun than talking with those honey laced words.

"Aunt said you did not eat breakfast so she told me to give you this."

The boy said behind me and put a lunchbox in front of me.

Aunt? Is that suppose to be my mother? Mom? But I didn't see her earlier...

I turned my head to the lunchbox in front of me. Surely, mom loves me more than those three monkeys!

I smiled and hold the lunch box in my hand. I look at the boy and saw his golden eyes staring back at me. I am startled for a moment.

"... Thank you... for giving me this..."

He nodded at me.

Eh, what was his name again? Jean Pierre Morris? Kinda familiar. Where have I seen that?

"Jean, can I ask a question?"

"You already are."

"You don't have to be sarcastic."

"Ask me."

This man... I have a feeling that I already know him but looking at his face, I haven't met him before.

"What is the relationship between us?"

"Really? You're asking me that because you don't know, or are you just asking because you are dumb?"

Okay, I quit.

I never thought a bookworm like him can say so many words in a sentence. I thought he is an introvert like me.

"I've known you for already two decades and you ask that dumb question? What's going on with that head of yours, Heather?"

"Heather? Who is Heather?"

"..."

Jean looked at me dully then flicked my forehead. I let out an 'aw!' caressing my forehead. He had an extreme energy in his index finger.

"Hey, what are you doing?!"

"Giving you some common sense."

I don't know but I'm feeling really, really angry towards him. He's the first man whom I have a personal grudge with (except my brothers who ignored me earlier in the morning).

I was going to say a retort when I heard a stick being hit on a table. I instantly sat upright with my back on a straight posture. I don't know how I did that, but my body just did that unknowingly.

I saw a woman in front with the stick. Standing beside her is the girl with the same blonde hair as me from earlier. It looks like we're going to be in the same class. Nice.

"Everyone, this is your new classmate. Introduce yourself."

"Hello! I'm Rosine Vista and I hope that we all get along together!"

She then bowed her head and smiled, eyes in crescent, teeth showing. She's quite energetic.

I admit she's as beautiful as this body owner's face.

'Where have I heard that name? I swear I knew that name.'

There's still something bothering me. First, this body's name which is Heather Jade Aczen. Then this boy beside me, Jean Pierre Morris. Last, the girl in front Rosine Vista.

This is just crazy. To think that these names were the same as the book I read before I fell asleep. Perhaps....

No, that would be utterly impossible!

First thing, I hate this girl the very first time I saw her. I don't know, it's just that feeling that you don't like the person even thought you had never met each other before.

"Where is a vacant seat.... There, behind Morris, you can sit there."

"Thank you Ma'am!"

Behind Morris?

'Nice move, girl. I'll keep an eye on you.'

The way she introduced herself was just childish. I kept feeling annoyed by it. Or was it this body's reaction. Could it be that there's a connection between these two? I'll have to find out.

She walked towards our direction and directly sat down behind Jean. Our eyes met and I can see her waver slightly so she flashed an awkward smile at me.

I know, it must have been embarrassing to ask someone why she oushed you, when in the first place, you tripped yourself.

I laughed at that thought.

'This girl has such plans.'

I quietly looked at her which she evaded. She turned her head towards Jean who had not looked at her even once.

"Hi Jean! I hope we get along."

Silence.

Is she expecting something? I waited to see if Jean will react but there's nothing. Utter silence.

I didn't look at her anymore and turned my attention in front. Whatever is this world, I'm gonna find out sooner or later. First, let's study first.

***

In conclusion, this was only the first semester that's why there's a big probability some students will transfer. But, I'm a graduating student and so as Rosine.

In my last life, you can transfer to any schools as long as you studied all the competencies needed in your course. It would also be great if you have passed grades so you won't have any problems with transferring schools.

It happened frequently in my school in the past.

Reasons of students who did that varied. Some was because of their families being broken, or for other reasons, such as bullying.

Whatever the case is, Rosine had different perspective why she transferred schools.

It wasn't because she had broken family, nor she experienced bullying. It was because a person like her wanted to climb on the social ladder, that was also why she worked hard to get a scholarship to a school like this.

A poor student like her wouldn't even make it here if she just enrolled. She needed a valid cause to study here, and that's her scholarship.

I don't know why I felt that everything were uncanningly strange. I just had an ominous feeling this would not turn out good.
