Ch 3 Part 5

At around ten in the morning, they had gotten a bird messenger in from the Sanguine Lunar Tribe. The message had written out the account of what Selene decreed. The druid of their village had already been acting strange. They went to their father to find out what was going on. With the dream they had, the message that came in and the druid acting oddly, something big had happened that everyone needed to know. Walking into the main hall, their father, Braeden was speaking to their elders concerning the message. They walked up wanting to know what was going on, but first, they spoke of their dream to the village druid.

Madoc Ferreire: "Madam druid, I wanted to ask you a question concerning a dream I had last night. I guess the dream we had last night."

Madam Druid: "Yes, please tell me of your dream and maybe I can tell you what the goddess says about it."

Both Madoc and Zayeden proceeded to tell her about the woman they saw. They proceeded to tell her about the odd dreamed they shared in great detail. The druid looked on with interest as she took in all their words. She simply smiled and shook her head slightly at them. She then began to speak once again.

Madam Druid: "It sounds to me as if the goddess has given you a vision of your mate, which means your mate has gotten a vision of you two. As you share the same beginning, you naturally will share her. The woman you described is indeed real. I have been sent a vision by Selene herself of certain things. Your mate has also made contact with Selene as she has sent a decree to all tribes that have a druid among them. The letter that we just received is from the Alpha of the Sanguine Lunar Tribe. There is his daughter, your mate, was given the same decree as she literally had the goddess speak through her."

Madoc and Zayeden looked on wide eyed as they listened to their druid speak. It was the most unusual of circumstances. Why would the goddess herself use their mate as a conduit? Something big must have happened, slight fear ran through them as they realized, their mate may be in trouble. Their father then turned to them after hearing part of the conversation as he had just finished speaking to some of the elders.

Braeden Ferreire: "My sons, I would suggest that you make haste to Sanguine Lunar Tribe. If she is indeed your mate, go there before something happens to her. We can finish with the decrees given on our end for now. Head out quickly, take the fastest horses we have."

Madoc and Zayeden Ferreire: "As you say father. We will gather some essentials and be on our way."

Braeden Ferreire: "Make sure to let your mother know before you leave. You remember how pissed off she got the last time you left without saying anything."

The twins just slightly rolled their eyes agreeing they would let her know. They both ran out of the meeting hall and headed to their house. Grabbing a few necessary items, they made sure they had a few days' worth of clothes and packed some food for travel. Taking their bows with them just in case, they told their mother of the news the druid had told them and that their father said to head to her. Their mother smiled big as she hugged both of them, lightly touching their face, then the marks upon their forearm. With one last kiss on their mother's cheek, they headed out of their house and made their way to the stable. Taking two of their fastest horses, they quickly prepped them with a bridle and pack saddles. Climbing on them, they headed out of the village as their father waved them off. Their mother at his side with the druid. On horseback, it would only take a day to get to her village.

They headed out, excitement and fear filling both of them. In the Bennion home, Sachi was getting ready for her day. She was still tired from her ordeal the day before and just could not get any motivation. She tried to shrug off the sludge feeling but could not. Her mother came in with another small dose of medicine and had Sachi drink it. She knew her daughter had been drained of energy, but wow, it was far more than she thought. Thank the goddess they had the special medicine. She used the outhouse and came back inside. Eating some fruit and vegetables, she drank down some water and prepped some of her clothes for the morning bath. She made sure to top off the cauldron with water and climbed back into her bed. She had no idea what was going on, but her body told her she needed more sleep. Her mother seemed to have some kind of idea but did not want to speculate. Hopefully, tomorrow would bring the answer.

At the meeting hall, the preparations to send Arlynn and Tarai off had been finalized. They would be sent away carrying nothing more than a pack board with their clothes and basic needs. A woven grass wrap bed roll was among the items along with a blanket. Each thing they needed was the bare basics. Inside a small pouch, a few stones of flint type rocks used for lighting fires. They were allowed a fishing pole with items and a bow with at least ten arrows. With them all set up with the basics to survive, they were put on the cart and three of the alphas best betas and some underlings then headed them toward the border that was half a days ride away. They set out and were out of sight within a few minutes. The rest of the day was spent getting more people set to head out to the outlying villages with the decrees that had finally been written up. The rest of the day passed uneventful has basic everyday chores where taken care of. With the thorough sweep of the village, the total number of feral wolves came to twelve by the time all was done. Their little interrogation room, completely full as they decided on their punishment.

They day finally ended and Adie trudged home to finally head to bed. He entered the house as he seen his Luna sitting by the fire closest to their daughter. He came and set down by her and placed a kiss on her cheek.

Adie Bennion: "I did not see Sachi up and about today. I thought she was going to help with the decrees that needed written out."

Ceilic Bennion: "My love, I love you, but she was still drained from what happened yesterday. She could barely walk this morning even after sleeping all night. She was walking around in a half sleep state, clearly she needed more rest."

Adie Bennion: "I could slap myself. I have no idea how I could forget her being the goddesses conduit. Well, serves me right for being forgetful. You are right, all the time she needs to recuperate."

Ceilic Bennion: "Yes, but for now, we head to bed. It has been a long day."

With a smile, Adie stood up and offered his hand to his Luna. She took his hand and they headed to their bed. The sound of thunder cracked loudly in the night as that signaled another rainfall. Thanks to all the clothes needing washed and the baths being taken, the barrels were almost empty. The next morning, Sachi woke to the sound of the birds chirping and the remnants of drips letting one know it had rained in the night at some point. She stretched big and yawned before sitting up. Heading to the cauldron, she started taking two buckets at a time to the tub and filled it up with fresh bath water. Taking some petals from a rose bush, she tossed them into the water. Taking off her nightgown, she put it in the laundry basket and climbed into the tub. Sachi did a thorough scrub down though she did not know why, dropping in some extra petals, she mixed them into her hair to try and help make it smell better. Rinsing off, she wrung her hair out and dried herself off. Putting on the purplish dress, she did the tie up around her waist. She drained the tub and rinsed it out.

Picking up the buckets, she walked over to the barrels and began filling them up to refill the cauldron. One she was done with that, she set the buckets on the floor. Going to her bed, she combed her hair thoroughly putting it back into a loose French style braid. Allowing a few strips of her hair in the front to frame her face. Looking into the reflection of the cauldron, she nodded her head in satisfaction at her appearance. Her body felt so much better as she no longer felt drained. Her excitement seemed to be building and she did not understand why. Heading to the outhouse, she tended to her business and headed back inside. She sorted through some of the clothes projects she was working on making sure which ones were finished and which still needed work. Once she had the projects, she wanted to work on sorted, she stacked them neatly on her table. She poured herself another glass of water and drank a little bit. Walking over to the fire, she sat on one of the stools as she awaited her parents to wake up. After an hour or so, her parents came in and sat down for a few minutes as they woke up the rest of the way.
