Page IV - The Wheels of Fate are Turning

The second day of everyone arriving at the Nerivilya academy was about Bridgette showing the new students the facilities of the school. Everytime the students entered a new facility, they were amazed by both the quality and appearance of the rooms.

The normal classroom that's for everyone has five giant whiteboard that switches whenever the teacher wants to. There's three televisions on the side of the room and at the top of the whiteboards. The desks are squeaky clean and there's small lockers at the very back of the room.

The kitchen for the students are filled with high class equipment whose versions are at the latest costing at least thousands. Fresh ingredients just laid there at the very front of the room that's harvest at the garden at the back of the academy.

Computer room filled with computers that could be labeled as "gaming computers," and with the high end internet provided by the school.

The library having a building of its own shaped like a giant tower. It has five floors and it's separated beautifully with all the genres of books lined up perfectly. And the higher floors you go, the increasing complex and difficulty of the books began to rack up.

After the day passed, Bridgette brought them back to their own dormitories to rest. For their classes won't start a week from now.

Theodore was in his room reading books while Rey is constantly shouting as he plays the games on his console playing his favorite games. "OH! COME ON!"

"..." Theodore was at his boiling point as he couldn't focus on his studies and the books he's reading. He stood up and was about to head outside.

"Huh? Hey Theodore! Uh... wait." Ray paused his game and rushed over to him. "Where ya goin?"

"...Library."

"Aww... you sure? You said you're gonna play with me, let's play Dark Ring, I can't get past this Swamptown."

"I still have to write some things and do something... something." He couldn't make up an excuse.

"I see..." Ray was obviously sad over the fact that Theodore will be leaving him for the rest of the day. "Well then, alright, come back when you're done!"

"Yeah. I'll be back." Theodore opened that door and smelled the fresh air of freedom. He left the dormitory and went ahead and ran to the library.

The library was not that popular among students as of this time since there's nothing to do. For Theodore, it was a sanctuary, a perfect place to achieve silence, something that he longed for. "Finally." He thought to himself.

He walked up to the very fourth floor and began to read a well known book among the writing industry, The Broken Pieces by Liam. The very person that tried to bring down Theodore. Even though there's a rivalry between the two, Theodore still respects him to an extent. Liam is the complete opposite of Theodore. He produces his stories very differently.

He begins with putting every worst possible outcome on the main character and tries to dig the main character into a large deep hole wherein he'll then introduce new characters to dig the main character out of that hole and achieve a happy ending. The reason why Theodore's interested in this book is because he wants to continue to explore the world of suffering that Liam perfectly executes.

He sat there in the library for hours, finishing the hundred thousand word novel by Liam in a single sitting. As he expected, it ended in a cliffhanger. He's curious about the development of the characters so he tried to find the second book. But it was nowhere to be found. "...Where..."

He walked down to the very first floor and went to the librarian. "Hey." He called out to the librarian who was so invested in the book she's reading. With his impatience, he pushed the bell on the table and it let out an incredibly loud noise that alerted the librarian. Good thing that there's no people, he'll be scolded to oblivion if he did that with many people around him. "Have I got your attention now?"

"Ah- sorry." The librarian replied as she tried to hide herself by covering her face with the book she's reading.

"...I need the second book of this." Theodore brought on the table the book he was reading.

"The Broken Pieces by Liam? This is a great book. Uh... Have you checked the fourth floor for the second book?"

"The books here are organized right? But when I checked the place where I got this book there's nothing there."

"Oh uh... sorry."

"Why are you... nevermind. Can you just check if the second book is here?"

"Yes, yes." Despite her hesitating to put the book down that's covering her face, she did it and searched for the material that Theodore is searching for. "Ah-"

"What?"

"I checked the book for myself..." She began to search for the book in the towers of books that was surrounding her. "Ah here-" As she took out the book out of the stack of her tower, she managed to topple it.

"Tsk." Just before the books fell on her head, Theodore stretched his hands and stopped the books from falling down on her head. "Be careful."

As she looked up, her face that was covered by hair was waved to the side exposing her true face. "Thank... you."
