Chapter 8

Aria

Last night was something once we got to the room, I was surprised at how big the room was and the bed full of rose pedals and there was even a bath ready. I was blushing so hard at everything that was happening because this was absolutely beautiful.

*flashback*

"You did all this?" I asked in amazement

"I had some help, but yea. I wanted to do this for you..I know how stressful things have been for you these past few months and I just wanted to do something nice for you." He said kissing my cheek, while removing my bag sitting it on the nearest chair

"Now, you go ahead and get in the tub. Relax and I'll make sure our food is in route."

He said while leading me to the bathroom

I didn't even realize there could be anymore rooms in this villa but hey I thought wrong. I loved the rose pedals that was everywhere the most.

Undressing and getting in the water, my body began to relax to the hot temp. I sunk deeper into the water as my hair got wet.

This was really unbelievable and I felt alive and lucky. After relaxing in the tub sometime. I began to wash up. As if on que Carnell walked in.

"Hey I-I" he started stuttering over his words

"Spit it out!" I said laughing a little

I was high key embarrassed but it was awkward but I think I played it well. My body shouldn't be no different than before right?

"The food is here." He said clearing his throat

"Okay I'll be out in a minute." I said smiling

"Okay." He said while leaving out the bathroom

Even though I was nervous.. why did it make me horny? The last time I had sex was three years ago and it's been a while for me.

Getting out the tub, drying off and putting on my robe. I walked to the bedroom and seen Carnell laying on the bed with the tv on scrolling through his phone.

"Hey." I said

Well, let's address the elephant in the room.

"Hey." He said locking his phone and putting it on the night stand before looking up at me

"You okay?" I asked sitting next to him

"Yea, why wouldn't I be?"

"You just seen me naked." I said chuckling

"You reaction was different than I expected I guess." I finished

"Yea, it's been a while. Ya'know , since Ive seen you and I just don't know." He said

"Come on talk to me." I said

"I don't be knowing if we should just pick up where we left off or if we start over? I mean I know we're not the same as before but does that mean our good times have to start over as well?"

"I'm your lady. We're not in the talking stages or the getting to know each other stage. We are in a relationship, we are TOGETHER, we live under the same roof. We even go to bed with each other. Why are you doubting that?" I asked

"I don't know, I just know that I love you and I want this to work. I don't wanna be extra or not giving enough. I want to do my part and do it well."

For some odd reason that made me wet. I quickly adjusted my legs and proceed

"I love you too baby. I know things are different now but we got to start from now and make our future we can't just try to start over. Life doesn't work like that and it's too short." I said reading his face

This man in front of me is the absolute most beautiful human being I have come across and he was mine. I know things weren't the same but as we are living our lives we have to live. I don't wanna start over. We can learn about each other as we go. You always find out something new when it comes to your spouse. I do love Carnell and tonight made me realize that.

"I believe you are right. I was just overthinking. I just don't wanna loose you. These years without you fucked my mental up." He said pulling out my chair

The room was pretty dim and there were candles lit everywhere. He wants me FORREAL. Like sex. It gotta be right? Why isn't he making his move? It's been a little over six months and he treats me so fragile. I'll just shake this off until moves are made.

"Yea, I understand completely." I said nodding."

"Can we get personal?" He asked

"You don't have to ask, or keep treating me fragile. I know you won't do anything to hurt me on purpose." I said

"I'll keep that in mind. Anyways, I had this girlfriend. About maybe 2 years ago and we didn't date for a long time but the pain that she caused me has gotten me to feel insecure about somethings but I'm working on it. I know I have to find a way to overcome but my life was better with you." He said grabbing my had from across the table

"I dated this guy three years ago and things were so good. Then one day he just snapped. He became like a dark cloud and than it poured. It started with mental abuse. Telling me that my feelings doesn't make sense. Issues with the clothes that I wear. Couldn't have guy friends. He beat me so badly mentally that it became normal to me. I left to go to my friends house after we got into a heated argument and when I got back. He was waiting for me in the living room. Long story short we got into another argument and punched me dead in my shit and broke my nose. It knocked me out and I woke up to him passed out on the couch with a needle hangin out of his arm. He had started taking drugs after loosing his brother and no one knew. I seen a changed and it was like I called out for help but didn't really have help. Until I met Bree. She helped me so much that I wish I could give her the world."

"I'm so sorry you had to go through that and I promise to make sure that you don't dwell on that. I wont do that to you. I m glad you did have someone there for you who wanted better. I can understand why she felt how she did when you first moved in. I'd loose my mind too." He said as he removed the lids of our dinner

Tonight everything was perfect and I could not think of a better way than to end the night. We had chicken marsala and boy was it good.

*flashback over*

We currently in the mall shopping around. Carnell came up with this idea of a 'date day'. So pretty much the whole day we go on different dates. Now he's taking me shopping. He had to go to the bathroom so I ran over to Zales to pick up his bracelet I reserved for him online earlier. I wanted to do something nice for him since he was being so understandable through everything that has happened.

"Your total will be 764.98." The sales rep said as I passed her my credit card

"Thank you." I said taking the bag from her than tucking it in one of my big bags so he wouldn't see

I made my way back over to the bathroom, when Carnell came out.

"Where you coming from?" He asked

"Zales. I was just looking at their jewelry." I said

"Oh, okay. Did you want something from there?" He asked walking me over to the store

"No, ad least not right now, I'll wait until the new season jewelry comes out." I said semi lying

"Your a trip, you know that?" He said

"Are you done shopping?" He asked

"Yea we already did a trip to the car, besides I'm feeling pretty hungry now." I said

"Well, come on. Let's get out of here and get ready for our dinner." He said grabbing all my bags

"Thank you baby." I said as we walked out the mall and to our vehicle

Carnell

Before driving back to the villa. I checked my email and made sure that our reservation was confirmed. Which is was, so all we had to do is show our face. I booked a dinner reservation on a roof top. I know I said that I wasn't going to propose that's the only thing that's crossing my mind. I could just give her this engagement ring as an promise ring and than give her a better engagement ring. I'll figure it out but for sure want to give her this ring before we leave this island.

After changing our clothes and getting ready for the night we ran into Bree and Jacob as we were heading out.

"Y'all look good bro bro." Jacob said dapping me up

" Y'know how I do." I said chuckling

"Guys." I heard both Ari & Bree say

"What I do?" Me and Jacob said

We all started laughing. This was cool. I already was cool was Jacob through the industry but being my guy was cool.

He helped me set up my plans for Aria last night. Tonight I wanted to go all the way. We want each other I know that for sure but it's like we were waiting for the the other to make a move. Well I was sure to make that move tonight.

"Where y'all heading?" Bree asked

"Dinner reservations can't say yet cause it'll ruin the surprise." I said side eyeing Ari

"Opp, my bad well. Enjoy the night love birds. I want a nephew by the end of the night." She said with that and walked away before any of us could respond

"Bold move SaBree." I thought

Heading out and getting into the Truck that was waiting for us. We sat in silence for a while. Until she spoke.

"I really love you. It took me sometime to adjust to that feeling but I haven't been to open with you about my feelings towards you and about us. I want us to work soo bad." She paused before taking a breathe.

"I know what we have been through has impacted us but we're together and I feel like we should live what we can, while we can. I don't know what I'd do without you really. You've been here for me in ways that I was scared to show and I couldn't have asked for a better person to be with than you so thank you for finding me." She said wiping her eyes a little with the napkin.

I was shocked. Not really but I thought we would pour our hearts out after we ate. No judgment. I love what she was telling me. She loves me.

"Don't thank me. I wanted to do this. I wanted to be with you. I still do. I couldn't stop thinking about you. It was so hard for me to deal with the fact that you couldn't remember me. I couldn't just abandon you. Your my person and I cannot hold out on you. Your mom she just wasn't having it. She was determined when she seen the opportunity to take you from me she snatched it right from underneath me. I would've never been that cruel." I said

"I love you soo so much Aria. I put you first in my agenda. You matter so much to me that I cannot loose you. I won't. I cannot loose you." I finished

This was emotional but I'm glad we were able to talk straight through without having an episode. Improvement.

"Yea, I know baby." She said as she grabbed my hand

She than kissed me. I'm talking about slow, turn you on type kissing. She swiftly moved to my lap as the kiss got intense. "Damn it, I knew I should've rented the limo." I thought but said it aloud

She starts laughing while moving off my lap taking her seat back next to me.

"You better stop before it gets real crucial for you." I said fixing my jacket making her laugh in return

The night was pretty much peaceful. We enjoyed our dinner talked about her plans. She even asked me about mine. This I can get used too.
