Cold and Heartless

"Oh, I see, maybe next time around Reiner!" The head of the city said so nervously.

And with that Reiner walked off the stage they were holding the females on and made his way into the crowd of people.

"It's so odd that a male from this world would reject females, why is it that he hates them so much?" Zara asked Ayan.

Zara had been too busy listening to Ayan explain things that she hadn't seen what happened on stage with Reiner, or the fact that he was coming towards them.

"Beats me, who knows, he is an eagle after all, maybe he has a bird brain." Ayan laughed out loud.

"Maybe he was hurt by one?" Zara pondered with a sympathetic look on her face.

"You female. Move out of the way."

"Huh?" Zara looked to her left and saw a tall young man, with a body as well built as Ayans, a masculine face and grey wavy hair that matched it as well as two large eagle wings that made him almost look like something heavenly. Zara stood stunned that the very man they were just talking about was now in front of her.

But wait, what did he just say to Zara?

"Huh?" Zara said again puzzled.

"What are you stupid too? I said move." Reiner told her.

Ayan noticing what was happening had already started to transform into his beast form.

Zara however felt perfectly comfortable that she could hold her own to this rude man. Powerful or not, that's no way to treat someone!

"Ayan! Don't!" Zara yelled at him.

Ayan was already in his beast form, angry and growling at Reiner, looking like he was about to attack at any moment.

"You. Male. Who do you think you are? I don't know you and I just met you but I know for sure you're someone that doesn't know how to respect others." Zara said so suddenly.

"What, I should respect you just because you're a female? I should bow down to you and follow your commands like this mutt over here?" Reiner asked.

Ayan stood behind Zara as ferociously as ever, the only reason he hadn't tried to kill him on the spot yet was because the males never killed their prey in front of the females.

"No, not because I'm a female, I don't care that I'm a female and you're a male, of course that's not a reason to respect me. You should respect others because they're people. They're people with feelings and emotions, you can't toss me to the side like I'm a piece of trash! I may be just a female but I don't need a male around to tell you off!"

Reiners face didn't change or move a muscle as Zara said that.

"In fact, why don't YOU move? The females around here act like you're greatest Beastman ever but you won't get any of that out of me!"and with that Zara stomped off with Ayan still in beast form following shortly behind Zara.

Zara still fuming as she walked off started muttering to herself "The pride of this town...yeah right... he just uses that as an excuse to treat people however he likes! Even if he did find a female he liked I highly doubt she'd like that demeanor of his!"

"Now now my female, don't worry about him! Just say the word and I'll snap that neck of his!" He said so cheerful.

"Hmm maybe it's you I should be worried about and not him." Zara chuckled a little bit.

Ayan walked in confusion wondering what she was laughing about, after all he was being completely serious about it.

As Zara and Ayan walked off, Reiner still in the crowd watched them disappear into the distance.

With a soft smile that was almost hard to see Reiner said "I hate females but I do like a challenge."
