Chapter 5: Principle of the year

Sam's POV:

When the final bell rang at the end of the day everyone rushed out of class to get home except me and Noah. We took our time and walked to the principal's office like Ms. Drake said to do. Noah texted Danielle to tell her we would be a bit late leaving school which she didn't mind because she still hadn't left my house yet, typical.

As we got closer to the office I could hear two people arguing. One of the voices I noticed as Mr. Lear, our principle, but the other I didn't recognise. When we got to the office we knocked on the door and instantly the arguing stopped. We heard Mr. Lear tell us to come in and so we did.

"Hello boys, thanks for coming, please take a seat." Mr. Lear said as he turned away from the other man in the room.

I went and looked around the room and saw Michael and his two friends sitting on one of the couches, so me and Noah went to the one on the other side of the room.

"I WANT THEM EXPELLED!" The other man in the room shouted out of nowhere.

When he said that I saw Michael and his friends smirking at me and Noah. They must have told the principle and this man, which I presume is Michael's father some bullshit story about what happened before we arrived.

"Now, now Mr. Hall I don't think that will be necessary or a rightful punishment for something they didn't do." Mr. Lear said to Mr. Hall calmly.

Mr. Hall looked like he was about to explode and it was absolutely hilarious.

"What do you mean something they didn't do. It is very clear that they attacked my son and his friends when they were trying to get to class."

I was about to stand up to defend myself when Mr. Lear waved at me to stay seated. I reluctantly stayed seated waiting to hear what Mr. Lear was going to say next.

"Now what proof do you have that they attacked your son and his friends first and not in, let's say, self-defence maybe."

I was kind of shocked that he could say that without knowing what happened.

"How could it be self-defence when they don't have a scratch on them." he was right, we didn't have a scratch on us but that didn't mean it wasn't self-defence.

"Well, you know, I am the principle of this school and it is my duty to make sure all students are safe and taken care of to the best of my abilities, right?"

"Yes, that would be right" Mr. Hall replied.

"Well I couldn't do that if I didn't know what was going on in my own school, now could I?" At this point Mr. Hall was getting a little bit worried.

"No, I guess you couldn't." He said making a really strained face like he was thinking really hard about something.

"Exactly. Which is why, as I can't be everywhere at one time, I decided during the summer to add cameras around to school so I could see what is going on."

When he finished that sentence Mr. Hall looked at him worried. Mr. Lear looked at me and Noah and gave us a little wink before turning around and walking over to his desk.

"Shit!" Mr. Hall whispered quietly as Mr. Lear turned on the tv screen on the wall that showed a picture of one of Michael's friends holding me in a headlock and Michael making his way over to Noah.

"Now, let's play the video shall we."

As the video was playing you could see Michael getting more and more scared and Mr. Hall getting more and more angrier. It was actually really funny to watch. When the video got to the part when Noah kicked there asses, everyone stood shocked as did I. Noah was moving really fast, like Olympic gold medallist fast. He also punched Michael really hard like if he was a piñata.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!!" Yelled Mr. Hall when the video finished playing.

"That would be your son and his friends getting themselves a week's suspension starting immediately." was Mr. Lear's reply which caused Michael, his friends and his dad to look at him in shook.

"That is way too long for something like this sir." Mr. Hall said.

"I don't think so. Not only did your son attack two students unprovoked, he also lied about it and caused unnecessary problems for me and the two students."

Damn Mr. Lear is absolutely killing them.

"Ok, fine. If that is all I would like to take my son home now."

"That is all, thank you for coming in. Hope we don't have to meet like this again any time soon." Mr. Lear said as he watched the four of them leave.

He then turned to me and Noah and apologises for what happened and told us we could go now.

As we left we saw Michael and his father arguing as they got into their car and drove away. We looked around the car park and found Danielle's car near the back. We walked to the car and got in. As she started to drive out of the school she asked us why we were late and we simply told her that Michael won't be a problem at school for the next week. She laughed when we said that and congratulated us.

When we arrived home Noah asked if he could stay for a while because he didn't want to go home yet because he would be alone. Danielle had to go home and so it was just me, my brother and Noah in the house as my mum was working late.

We all decided we would watch movies all night so me and Noah sat on the two seater couch and Max took the armchair. Around ten o'clock me and Noah fell asleep on the couch while cuddling. Max took this opportunity to take pictures of us before he put a blanket over us and went to bed.
