Rinzen had spent almost all of his teen years feeling vaguely uncomfortable in his own skin. He mostly knew he was awesome, okay; it was just that he was also acutely aware of his flaws. Or at least the things other kids counted as flaws. His intensity for one thing, that often made other kids he was getting friendly with 'back off'. His True-blue loyalty had always been an understatement for other teenagers who just weren't prepared to handle that kind of fidelity.

The babbling thing annoyed most people — actually all people — on the days when he couldn't focus, and on the other days when his attention was sharp as a razor but limited in scope they resented his stillness and silence.

Balance was hard for him, and he had struggled for years to find that line.

Now he was supposed to be some kind of hero?

Raven and Jasmine both looked up to see Bell walking towards them her guardian Fiona had already waved her off and seemed to be escaping the giant white wolf that walked besides the tiny Japanese teen. 


“That is one big wolf?!” Raven hissed reaching for Apple. The twin-tailed fox had already leapt off of the bench and into his arms. 


“Aren’t wolves a fox’s natural enemy?” Jasmine asked warily, standing between Apple and the wolf, Raven smiled at her unconsciously. 


“Oh calm down, Ookami isn’t going to attack your fox”, she paused, “Didn’t you say it was a puppy? You know Fox kids are called Kits, right?” she asked raising her brows questioningly. 


Jasmine snickered at the exchange, “Would it attack me?” she asked curiously. 


“If you attack me”, Bell answered, "Otherwise he's rather docile and incredibly lazy", she answered amused. 


Bell paused, "I want to say yes, but given the circumstances, I don't think he'd let you", she informed weakly.
