Episode 18

Recap:

He suddenly came to halt and with out thinking he started walking back towards her cabin. He was not thinking straight in the moment. All he knew that he didn't appreciate what he saw.

Reaching her cabin's door he opened the door but to his dismay they both didn't paid him any heed. They both where looking at the laptop while Joey stood close to her while she sat. He knocked on the door loudly catching them off guard. Upon seeing him Elnaz stood up quickly directly hitting Joey on his head to which he yelped putting his hand on his forehead with his eyes closed and face distorted in pain.

"OH MY GOD! I am so sorry. I am so sorry.. I.." she quickly held his hand trying to move his hand to look if he was hurt bad. This scene didn't set well with Rafay. He looked irritated at them. He didn't cared that the man in front of him was hurt because of his sudden entrance. With his hands stuffed in his pockets he looked at him. But as Elnaz held his hand and tried to move it around he clenched his fists walking forward and stopping in front of her.

"Move away." He told her looking into her eyes. She dropped her hand looking at him. Without saying anything she moved back while he turned towards Joey. Joey opened his eyes looking at him.

"You are hurt?" Rafay asked his hands still stuffed in his pockets his shoulders all squared up his eyebrows inverted his lips pursed in tight thin lines and his eyes showing him something like of jealousy. Like he had entered his territory. This didn't pass unnoticed by Joey. He saw Rafay's stance and moved back little. If he hadn't it would have looked like they were about to enter in to a fight. The atmosphere of the room was tense and Joey didn't wanted it at the least.

"Yeah but it's okay Elnaz." He replied and looked towards Elnaz. Seeing this Rafay moved in the middle blocking his view of her.

"On the second floor go to left and turn sharp right you will find medical aid. Help yourself." He ordered looking at him. Sensing that currently it was best to leave Joey left without a word.

Once Joey was out his vision Rafay turned to her and looked at her thinking hard. Elnaz once again felt small in front of him. His gaze scrutinising her as if summing her up made her feel trapped.

"What were you doing?" He asked her looking at her.

"I. . I was having problem with excel sheet." She stammered.

"Okay then?" He questioned keeping his both hands on his hips.

"So he was helping me." She told him.

"Look I know you are learning yet but if you have problems or doubts come to me. You work as intern under me. Not him." He explained her but his mind was saying him something else.

"Okay." She nodded her head.

He stood still in front of her for a moment that she wanted it to end it. Ending the silence she asked him.

"Why are you here?"

He looked at her as if thinking of something.

"I was going home for lunch so I thought to take you home too." He said rubbing his ear.

"Ohh. Let's go then." She said packing her handbag.

"Let's go." He repeated after her watching as she packed her things together.

Meanwhile...

Janet sat crossed legs as Joey locked the door behind him. With the pencil twirling in her hand she waited for him to speak.

"Hello there Joey. You know locking that door like that is going to make people suspicious of us." She told him irritated.

"Hey keep that low. I am in no stance to make people suspicious of myself specially with you. You know it I was never interested in you." He sarcastically replied her sitting in front of him.

"I know. Tell me now what you wanted to say that you couldn't wait till we got out." She said putting her pencil down.

"Today I bumped in to Elnaz and we chatted. She told me she was facing some issue and I offered to help her. So we both were in the cabin I was helping her when out of no where your crush came barging in." He breathed loudly.

"Then?"

"He was agitated. No matter how well he hid it but you men come to know about it. He didn't liked it that I was with Elnaz. The look on his face looked like he would beat me any moment." He sighed.

"Oh. I knew that he was having something for her."

"You called me at the right time dear. If any more late you he would have fell for her and that too hard."

"Hard? What do you mean?"

"What? You got to be kidding me if you don't agree that Elnaz is beautiful and to add up she is innocent unlike you naughty bad woman. Any man would want to protect her." He reasoned her.

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes.

"Look at you. You look so desperate to have his attention whereas she is not. In fact she doesn't want men's attention. They get naturally attracted to her why because she seems naive."

"Stop siding her. She is more stupid than naive." She butted angrily.

"Anyways think about it. I am leaving." He said getting up.

"Where are you leaving?" She asked.

"Look I have a date in an hour. So got to be ready."

"What about work?"

"Handle it for me." He replied sliding through the door.

"Basta*d" she murmured under her breath.
