Chapter 03

The sound is coming from the store room of the store. I've to check this out. I'm still trembled by fear but I managed to being brave and open the door. I peers into the room and there I found a little girl between the age of 8 or 12. She has long black hair reaching to her hips, white skinned, and grey eyes. She was wearing a pink sweater with skinned jeans and sport shoes.

"Who are you ?", she asked to me.

"I'm Becky", I replied.

"Are you one of them ?".

"No I'm not. Why are you here ?".

"The two boys captured me and they want me as a bait to those things".

"What ? Are they the two boys who stays in the store ?", I asked her skeptically.

She nodded.

"What's your name ? ", I asked her.

"Cindy", she replied.

How can they do that ? Let them come again. I will ask them why they were doing that ? Suddenly the lights flicker and fades out.

"Trust me. I'll get you out of here as soon as possible", I told her.

She nodded and followed me. I was still thinking why Ralph can do this. He was a good boy as far as I knew. We went to the lobby. It still dark there. But the lights from outside enlighten the lobby a bit. The doors opened and the two boys came in taking deep breathes and suddenly some bangs on the front door.

"Ralph, I found the girl that you hide from me", I said to him.

"Becky, we hadn't much time. The things are chasing us. Give me that girl", Ralph demanded as he stepped towards me.

"Why the hell do you want the girl ?", I yelled.

"I think you know the reason".

"And what if I don't give her to you ?".

"Then I will have to take action", Ralph took out a gun from his back and aims it on me.

"So now you can kill me too", I asked him.

"In this apocalypse, there's not any family or relation. Just you have to survive alone".

That's it. Is this a relationship I want ? No, if he wants what he wants I'll give him. Kim-Young tried to stop him but he brushed him away. It was just a few seconds to pull the trigger but suddenly from somewhere a man jumped on him causing the gun to fell away from him. I could able to see the creature bite underneath his throat. That's my only last time, I sneaked forward and took up the gun. I grab Cindy and we fled from there. Suddenly, we came across Kim-Young once more. I points the gun towards him.

"No no please don't shoot. Let me help you out of this", Kim-Young requested.

"How can I trust you ?", I asked.

"Listen, that's not my idea. Ralph wants me to do so I do. But I realise that I'm in the wrong side"

"Where's the way ?", I've to trust him. There's no other way.

He took us to the exit of the store. And showed us a car. Its a family sedan.

"Come with me. There's a car. It will take you outta here", he was taking us to the car but suddenly a creature chased after us and its momentum fell Kim-Young on to the pavement and bit his throat also.

We can't waste time. I kicked the creature away from Kim-Young but its to late. He is passed away. I took the keys from Kim-Young's body. The creature stood up again but we immediately get into the car and drove out from there. The creature banged on the side window of the car but he managed to rode off.
