Chapter 04

I'm panicking now. I was thinking the whole way about the events. And that's my another mistake I made ever. Without be able to concentrate on driving, I crashed the car into a street pole. It's quite a bad impact by which I bleed my head but thank god Cindy is alright because of wearing the seatbelt.

"You should have to wear the seatbelts", she suggested.

"Are you alright ?", I asked her waiting glancing if she was hurt but thank God I saw no sign of it.

"Yep, I'm alright. Thank you. But I don't think you are alright. You're bleeding ".

"I know. And I don't think so that crap will start off again ", I said punching the steering wheel.

Suddenly, I heard a sound. They are the creatures. My eyes become wider as they approach us. I think they are attract by the sound of crashing.

"They are approaching us. Come on, we have to go from here", I said with opening her seatbelt.

Finally we get off the car and started running. But they are too fast. And with Cindy, I can't able to run as fast as I can. I took her up, that's the only way I can run fast. And suddenly from somewhere, we see an explosion of a firecracker in up at the sky. I try to identify the place from where it fires. Then I come to know about the place. It's an old factory. I think someone still there. I quickly approach the factory and at the time we reach there, we saw two mens near the gate of the factory. They were wearing cargo pants and warm black Jackets.

"Come on get in or they will kill you and us also. Fast, get in", one of tge men commanded and open the gate.

At that time, I didn't have any choice. I can't able run all the day with Cindy on my arms. So I quickly get in and suddenly the lights switch. I can't see anything. They blind my eyes for sometime. But I feel that someone hold my hand pull me. I followed where it tooks me. I heard a closing of door. And then, when my visibility back, we are inside the factory. When I try to look for the person who took me here. I become surprised. There are a team of soldiers inside the factory. I put down Cindy and looked in everyone's face. And what I see is,'Chris', a friend of mine. He works in US Task Forces. But as for the world, he is presumably dead in a mission in Siberia, four years ago. I'm so glad that he's still alive and become so excited that I hug him.

"Chris. How are you ? Its been a long time since we met. I thought that you were died in the Siberian mission ?", I asked to him frantically.

"Well that's a long story. I will tell but now take some rest", he replied rubbing his head.

"Okay, but what about Cindy, this little girl ?", I asked to him pointing to Cindy.

"Oh that girl. Our womens will take care of her. Oh I forgot to mention, this is Carla, James, Mike, Gwen, Gabriel and Selena", Chris introduce others to me.

"And friends this is Becky, a friend of mine. And this is Cindy who is. Hey, do you know her ?", he asked me.

"I found her in a store", I replied back.

"Oh okay, girls take Cindy and give her some food and water. They are our friends, take care of them", he commanded to others.

"You go and take some rest. You can nap a little also", he suggested.

"Thanks for it. But I want to know about something", I told to him curiously.

"Have patience. I'll tell you everything as soon as possible. Now go and get some sleep".

I nodded and went from there. He's right, I have to take rest and get some sleep. Gwen show me the way to my room as I sat on the comfortable bed and lied there. The bed was so comfortable that my eyes can't hold much more as they descended and I slowly dozed off. Good night.
