Chapter 17

The waiters returned. The waitress pushed in the cart that held all the various dishes.

Soon they kept each person's food in their front and stood by the corner again, waiting patiently.

Adam grabbed his soup spoon and took a spoonful of the lobster soup. He closed his eyes for a while, savoring the taste. His eyes then popped open, and, deciding it was great, he took another spoonful.

He reached for the bread knife and sliced some part of the bread.

He then kept it in his mouth and took another spoonful of the lobster bisque.

He smiled mid-way into his appetizer as he glanced at Scarlett and saw her happily devoring the chocolate-creamed pastry.

Her fingers were soon sticky and brown like the food she was eating but she didn't care.

Adam's eyes went to his left and he watched Matt slowly slurp the gazpacho. Sometimes he'd stir it a bit with his soup spoon and then raise a spoonful back into his mouth again.
