Skyler's Alpha Mate

I was not prepared for how calm Liza would be. 


Unsure, she asked, “You’re coming back though, right?” 


“If all goes well, I should be back before anybody notices I’m gone,” smiling, I continued, “if you’ll help me. I can’t do this alone.” 


"Of course I'll help, Skyler. I just want you to be safe. Where are you going? And what will you be doing?” I can’t tell her that I need to go back and ask really nicely for them to stop hunting me or just deal with the problem if they don’t want to stop. Worst case scenario, I’m captured and killed. Best case, they let me go. Another option: fight my way out. Not to keen on option number three though. I have to go, otherwise they will hunt me to Ambrose’s pack and he will be in serious shit if they find out he didn’t give me up. Mate or not, the Law is the Law. I just hope I don’t have to kill anybody. 


“I’ll tell you when I get back. Will you trust me until then?” 


“Until my dying breath, Luna,” Her calling me by my title didn’t feel as strange as it did before. It almost felt good. “When are you planning on leaving?” 


“I will leave at nightfall. I only have a limited window of time before my heat comes, and I need to deal with this before I am officially Luna of this pack. So, I have a plan for how to deal with Ambrose. But first, tell me: can we trust Tanzanite?”
