"When I said send a message, I didn't mean raise the alarm and make it difficult to get closer to the target."

Hayden jumped at the sudden voice greeting her as she entered her room. Dantae sat on the edge of the open window, cigarette hanging off his plump lips, ignoring how the bitter winter breeze wafted the smoke into his emerald green eyes as he kept his gaze on her.

"You need to be a bit more specific hun, we take on multiple jobs at once." she said walking towards her bed, not paying much attention to the male glaring at her.

"I'm talking about the escapee, Hayden. You nearly killed her."

"You never specified what you wanted me to do" she shrugged inattentively. "Besides what does it matter anyway not like you've ever cared what I did to any of our other targets, what makes her any different?"
