Chapter 2

Ava's POV

Finally mum and dad left to go into town and I finally had a chance to escape I had to be quick though or else the magical wards would tell mum I wasn't here, they were like an alarm and if I stopped moving for more than 2 hrs they would alert mum but if i put weight in the bed it triggered the floor wards that i was in bed and they wouldn't go off. I quickly headed to the bedroom and lifted the sheets, then I went to the cupboards and took out my stash of weights, mainly old clothes in a few small round boxes. This was so it would look like a person in the bed rather than just lumpy clothes. I put the boxes in the bed and pulled the sheets up. Then I tucked the sheets in evenly, and shaped the boxes. Next I tested out the weight by jumping up on the window sill the colours of the wards shimmered and then faded away again which was good it meant it was fine. Grabbing the backpack that was sitting by the window I turned and opening the window i jumped out and landed on the soft grass. The wind picked up a little bit as I started to sprint towards the forest that surrounded our home, behind a tree I stripped off and put my clothes in my bag. I shifted into my wolf, since I had done it once a week since I turned 16 I was use to the readjustment of bones and the new alignment of being on four feet instead of two, most wolves were dark in colour with bits of white on them, I however was white everywhere except for my paws they were black, My dad had black paws as well but he was dark brown with a white tail.

I had to be careful now I was in the forest there were no magical wards in here and my scent could be picked up by others, carefully looking around I said a quick spell to make my scent invisible and I then picked up my pace and began to continue north to the town of New Ru (Roo). It was about 8 hours away and I should get there by late afternoon hopefully before my parents started looking for me. The last thing I needed was to run into them now.

Phoenix's POV.

New Ru was a small town in the heart of the werewolf kingdom, some humans lived here but it was mainly wolves. there were plenty of things to do in the town like go to the mall, go to the twin cinema, the library, go dancing at the main hall go to Paddy's the only bar in town and then there was the waterfall it was about 30 minute run out of town and surrounded by the woods it was the best place to go. Especially after a shift at the bar, I always worked the late shift at the bar then went to the waterfall in the early morning, not during the winter months but now that it was summer it was hot as fuck, even the nights were warm so it was easy to build up a sweat working and last night had been especially busy. I sighed looking around as I headed towards the forest I was 20 now and had been looking for my mate for 2 years, I had moved to many different places in the werewolf kingdom but so far I had no inclination that my mate was even around. I found a tree in the forest and started to strip shifting into my large black wolf with white paws, shifting into my wolf was easy I had done it since I was 16. I ran towards the waterfall with my clothes in my teeth, just in case there were any humans around and I had to shift back.

I finally made it to the waterfall in 20 minutes, my best time although now i was panting and sweating even more. I did a quick check and after making sure no humans were around I shifted back into my human form and strode towards the waterfall. I untied my long raven hair from its braid and let it cascade down my back it nearly reached my butt it was so long. I slid into the pond of water that led toward the waterfall. The water was beautiful, it was only noon now but the sun was high and beat down on my skin. I made my way to the waterfall and got underneath it washing away the filth and grime of the bar. after spending an hour in the waterfall I decided to move back towards the entrance and spend some time swimming in the shallows when I suddenly smelt the most wonderful scent I had ever smelt before. It was like my mums freshly made apple pie with cinnamon. I was immediately drawn to the smell and looked up to see a woman with red hair staring at me behind a tree. I decided to be a little cheeky to see if she would come into the water, so I went back to the shallowest part of the waterfall and stood the water cascading down my naked body. Water flowed over my big breasts and tight nipples, I glanced at her and saw she had moved slightly from the tree and was watching as I ran my hand down my body playing with my nipples and trailing further down to the apex of my thighs where is disappeared into the water.

"Come join me" I purred tracing my tattoos on my left ribs and watching her eyes follow them. I loved playing the cat and mouse game and was sure she would soon join me and i couldn't wait for her apple pie scent to be wrapped around my body. I loved teasing both men and women and my curvy size 18 body let me show it all off including my full round ass that i just shifted to be right in her line of sight. I giggled as I saw her shake her head and look around and finally make a decision, she came closer to the edge and slipped into the water in the pond, the entry way for the waterfall. As she came closer I could see her eyes they were silver and her hair bright red, at first I thought she was human then I smelled her again and was surprised to smell a werewolf and her apple pie with cinnamon scent wafted closer and closer. Then I grabbed her arm and it hit me square in the face.
