8.) First Day Part 3

"Thank you for lunch Red Riot." I smile up at him starting to run through Japanese customs in my head, did I do something wrong? Why is he looking at me like that. "Please don't quit, please just hang in there. He needs someone like you around. Thoughtful, kind, hopefully as patient as you say. Just, if you have any problems you can come to me I'm happy to help." He cares a lot about his friends it's so sweet, and makes him even cuter. "I'll hang in there Sir." He chuckles a bit. "By the way you can call me Kirishima, not you know around fans and such, that's how I put my name down on the directory from HR. I don't know if you looked in it or not. I'm not an employee here, but I am committed to helping my friend succeed. You have my cell, my work number, my email. You need anything at all just contact me, just don't quit." The innocent look on his face nearly moves me to tears. "He won't get rid of me so easily I promise Kirishima." He nods firmly at me. "Oh I almost forgot, he said he was going to the gym, we need to ride the elevator back down to the basement. I nod as he hits the button doors closing on the fourth floor before us. We walk past where HR was and he opens a door walking through. The room is hot and I can hear Bakugo yelling out DAMMNIT as the door closes behind me. Deku is with him and they are sparing, when Deku stops to look at Bakugo he throws an explosion directly at him causing him to move quickly away from it. "Don't let your guard down nerd, or you'll die" he yells at him. "Sup bros, we're back from lunch." Kirishima lets out playfully Bakugo stops and haughtily looks in our direction. Deku flicks his finger in Bakugos direction, he rolls out of the way before yelling at him "don't be a dumbass, L/N could have been hurt, she can't protect herself." He growls it out at him, all of us staring at him shocked, as he walks over to a bench, picks up a towel draping it around his neck then taking a long drink from his water bottle.

I follow him as he heads back towards the office trying not to stare. He's wearing his gym clothes still a black pair of sweat pants and a black shirt with a white skull on it. I try to look ahead but keep finding my eyes on him, his back is well defined, sweat drips from him like a can covered in condensation, even his ass is perfect. Kirishima pretends not to notice me being distracted by him and when he hears Deku yelling after us to wait up he stops and waits for him. Bakugo and I enter the elevator and he hits the button for the fourth floor without bothering to wait. He looks down at me and I advert my gaze to the food in my hands. "Couldn't finish your lunch?" He asks inspecting the box. "I did, this is for you extra spicy chicken curry." He balls up his fist swallowing hard at the same time. "That dumbass, he knows I can buy my own damn lunch. And then to make you carry it like you're his assistant." Why is he even hotter now that he's starting to get pissed off, I want to see his infamous temper, but it's time he knows where to direct it. "I bought it while he was in the restroom." He glares at me "I don't recall telling you I like curry or spicy food." I just smile at him "Kirishima told me." He growls under his breath still trying not to lose it "And that's another thing, it's Kirishima all of a sudden? The hell happened to Red Riot?" I try not to laugh but a chuckle comes out as I speak "He told me to call him Kirishima after we got back." When the doors open he practically charges out of the elevator stomping like an angry child, I just follow behind him as if nothing's wrong while others stare at me in pity.

Not long after I retake my seat in his office there's a knock at the door followed by it opening. "Kacchan, why didn't you wait for us?" He turns slowly to face Deku just as Kirishima comes in and closes the door. "What the hell dumb hair, you go to one damn lunch and now she knows my favorite food and calls you Kirishima?" He smiles apologetically at his friend. "Did you not want me to help her to get to know the boring stuff about you?" I can practically see a vein about to burst in his throat he's so angry, I'm not sure what's the big deal about the name, and Kirishima is right, he didn't want to go over things and asked him to tell me more. "Your own PR person doesn't even call you that, he calls you Red all the damn time, why are you getting so friendly with her?" hmmmm, the way you address people in Japanese culture means a lot, but the last name isn't terribly uncommon, but I guess if his own rep doesn't call him that it seems a little odd. "Calm down Bakubro, she called you Bakugo so I figured why not, she doesn't work with me, so who's to say we can't be friends?" Sparks fly from his hands and I back away slowly just in case. "I fucking say, she isn't here to be your friend so you can get that out of your mind right now. You know what, get out of my office go make yourself useful somewhere instead of being in the way. And don't think I didn't see you put your info in her HR packet, leave her alone I won't fucking say it again." Kirishima raises his hands in surrender and leaves, Bakugo then directs his attention to Deku. "Remember what I said and make sure you tell Uraraka. Now get the hell out I've got shit to do and lunch to eat." Deku just nods and leaves, leaving Bakugos attention on just me. He opens a drawer pulling out a wallet. "Here, for the lunch. And I promise I won't treat you like an errand girl, but just this once can you please go to the vending machine and grab me a drink, anything caffeine free I don't care. I need a minute." I nod grabbing the money and heading back out in the hall, everyone's eyes flying from me to pretending to do their work.

The rest of the day is pretty calm, Bakugo sat at his desk eating his lunch while I looked over the paperwork I got from HR, a line in contact information has been marked over with a black sharpie. He must have done it while I was at lunch, surely this is Kirishimas info. When I ask him about it he just tells me I have no reason to be contacting him and that I should keep calling him Red Riot or Red for short, I decide not to argue with him about it happy he's eating the lunch I brought back for him. We talk about how he doesn't really care about being the most loved hero, he says he'll leave that to Deku, but he will be "awesome" and "way cooler than that damn nerd" I convince him to let me familiarize myself with his office and where he keeps everything to make it easier in case I ever need to bring something in while he is out of the office. He never changes back into his suit, he seems more relaxed this way, getting less irritated with my endless questions. He does get pissed again when he finds out what Red and I talked about during lunch. I let him go off about it and wait for him to finish talking before telling him these are things I need to know, that they make a clearer picture of him and can even be used to help market him. At the end of the day he walks me to the train station and ask the name of my apartment complex, apparently it's where Deku grew up so he knows the area well, he tells me his parent's house isn't far from there and he plans to move back to Musutafu in another month or two, just hasn't had much time to look for a place. When I get home mom wants to know all about my day. Exhausted I just give her a run down. "Well the client really does have a temper problem, overall he was nice enough but I could tell how annoyed he was just talking to me a good bit of the day. His friends seem nice enough even though he yelled at all of them and told them to leave. Oh and I might need to gouge out my own eyes so I stop staring at him when no one is paying attention." She chokes on her wine when I say that last part. "So he's good looking then?" I nod seriously at her "It's not fair mom, he's like insanely attractive." She smiles mischievously at me, I'd like to meet Mr. Insanely Attractive before I go back home."
