Reunion

The sight shown by his different colored eyes had surprised him, it was the dwarf Borinn and his team who was saved by him earlier. He intended to ignore them when a thought was born in his brain, 'Maybe I can take advantage of the previous situation, he said he owed me a favor anyway.'

"Haha! We got another victory and this time we received a lot of money in exchange for that, the next round is on me." Said the other dwarf in the group as he stroked a bag full of coins with a drunken look that could not hide his happiness for the gold in his hand.

"Yes, let's drink some more." Said the human of the group holding a tall beer mug while proposing a toast.

They didn't notice Rena's approach behind them until she bent down and said a few words in Borinn's ear pointing in the direction Nicola had climbed. The guild brings several benefits to its mercenaries, one of which is the use of business rooms, where two or more people could negotiate something without being watched or observed by anyone other than themselves. The use of these rooms came at a price, of course, but that was just a little change for Nicola now.

"It is good to be able to find you again savior." Borinn greeted him as he entered the room.

The room had only three pieces of furniture, two armchairs and a coffee table between them, one of the chairs was taken by Nicola while waiting for the guest. This time he had lowered the hood of his cloak and released his other arms that hung over his lap while the other two held a saucer and a cup of tea respectively.

"Sit down, I hope my real identity hasn't scared you." Nicola asked.

"Well, it's a little strange being face to face with a half-demon, after all they are enemies of almost the entire continent. However, I don't think you will do me any harm, or you would have let us die that day." The dwarf replied without leaving any doubt of what he felt when I discovered the identity of his savior.
